For instance, Danial Radcliff is Harry Potter. I don't think he's the best actor or anything but he's immortalized it. Now will some other actor be able to pull off the character? Most likely yes, but majority will just say no.

Once an actor has successfully pulled off a character, there are very few people who will think that someone else might be better for it or even that they can pull it off OR win an award.

That was my point.

IMO, if you think an actor is good, then they are most likely gonna win awards if given the right character and director, but people will not see that.

I get your point but as I haven't seen the film yet I don't have an image in my head. As a DP fan I do think Kareena would have been able to do justice to the role, no doubt. Its narrow minded fans who don't allow themselves to even contemplate whether another actress could have pulled it off. I just opened this topic because kareena was first offered the role.

I think characters like Geet of JWM and Meenamaa of CE are distinct and unique so predicting how another actress would have done the role is almost impossible. But judging from the promos Leela doesn't seem to be a character we haven't seen before in movies that we can't predict how kareena would have performed it. Though I could be wrong.

O_o, thanks for digging out her pics. But it wasn't needed.

When did I say anything about beautiful. I simply said she couldn't have pulled it off which is entirely my opinion. She has that bubbly and cute face unlike the intensity which Leela reflected in the movie. Most actresses are beautiful, reason they are on screen. But not all can pull off all sorts of characters. For me, I don't see Kareena pulling of the role.

Kareena is a good actress no doubt, however the biggest thing driving the movie was the chemistry between ranveer and deepika. Kareena wud have had zero chemistry with him and therefore I don't think the movie wud have worked as well with kareena in it.

Yes she can. If Deepika can pull it off..Kareena is a better actress and more experienced..why wouldn't she pull it off?

I'm not sure if she would ever pull of the dance sequences in Ram Leela.
