Well obviously we will never know. Point out the obvious why don't you lol But she was the orignal choice. And besides kareena has done enough films for us to predict how she would have acted in it.

not really, deepika acted like she never did before in ramleela bcuz she was being directed by slb, if slb directed kareena then who knows what kind of a performance she wud have pulled off.

I think Deepika enacted her role so well. It's hard to ask if another actress could have won an award had they played it. We've seen Deepika do the acting, so its impossible to judge another actress.

But I've never really been a fan of Kareena's and she's never really impressed me with any of her roles, except a few, so I think I'd have to say no I wouldn't see her winning anything had she played the role. But there's no definite way to judge that because we haven't seen it.

That's true, but people will likely be swayed by how brilliantly one actress already portrayed it. People already have an image in mind.

For instance, Danial Radcliff is Harry Potter. I don't think he's the best actor or anything but he's immortalized it. Now will some other actor be able to pull off the character? Most likely yes, but majority will just say no.

Once an actor has successfully pulled off a character, there are very few people who will think that someone else might be better for it or even that they can pull it off OR win an award.

That was my point.

IMO, if you think an actor is good, then they are most likely gonna win awards if given the right character and director, but people will not see that.
