PaYa FF: A Girl From The Past

Prologue
A book went flying through the air and hit the person straight across his face, "Oucchh!" , the victim shouted.
"You deserve it RUBEL. How dare you tease me!", a beautiful modern girl in a short dress with straight hair stood up taking the book and hitting him again.
"Stop it Payal", the victim shouted but of no use because his sweetest girlfriend was never to stop this time.
"Hit! Hit! Hit", the two other people in the room, namely Revathi and Rahul shouted in harmony encouraging their best friend Payal Gupta. The room filled with laughter and the incisive chatter of the four people while they patiently waited for their mate to return from his so-called experimenting lab. Seconds, minutes and even hours passed by but there was no sign of him.
"Where the hell is he?" they occasionally asked each other and continued to have fun. Never did they attempt to look for him because they very well knew their friend's anger when he is intrigued in his experiments.
Finally the noise and jokes came to a halt when they heard the door creak open, instantly they all stood up facing their Pal.
He was looking unusually happy and one of that strange smile was on his face. This made all of them guess that one of his endless experiments has finally turned out to be a success, but which one?
"It's ready guys, finally! And it's PARTY TIME!"
Did they hear it right? Aditya Kumar and Party, were they dreaming?
"What happened guys? Come on! Tell me, what all you want?" He asked sitting down.
"Before that, Adi , tell me which one of your stu... I mean great experiments have become a success?" Rahul asked confused.
"Oh! It's that one, Time Traveler, I guess I told you!" He replied looking extremely proud.
"Of Course you did! But are you serious? I mean can we really travel in time?" Payal asked, shocked and surprised at the same time.
"You don't believe me? We can and I have finally invented the device for that, wait! Come with me and I will show you." He stood up and returned back to the experimenting lab followed by a group of confused people who were about to see the lab for the first time.
To all of their surprise, the lab looked extremely clean and innovative. Their mouths for an instant became wide open and in the exact shape of an O'.
Adi led his friends to the middle of the room where a device looking like an hourglass was placed. One part of the device was made with green transparent glass and the other was made of blue transparent glass.
"This is called the time traveler. " He said picking it up and started demonstrating its uses and structure. "If you turn the blue part, it will take you to the past. The number of years depends upon the number of turns you make. The same goes with the green part but it takes you to the future."
"Are you serious that this will really work?" Revathi asked with her eyes wide open.
"Yeah of course it will!" Adi replied confidently.
"If yes, then I want you to go and find who will I marry Adi.", Rubel said smartly rolling his eyes and stopping them on Payal.
"Well, that's obvious. It will be Payal! I won't like to use my invention for stupid purposes like that.", Adi said returning back to who he was -The Arrogant Adi.
"That means it doesn't work Adi" Said Rahul protesting but Adi was never to agree.
"It will and I will prove it. I am going to the past, who all are interested to come with me?" Adi asked hoping that at least one of his friends will agree.
But none of them replied, it was only silence in the room.
"Okay, it seems like you guys are scared, okay look! I am going to go alone to the PAST! Will return soon! Bye guys!"
They all felt to laugh at his statement, he is never to go and never to come back then why bye?
But their eyes proved their thoughts wrong! They witnessed their best friend turning the blue part many times and were suddenly being covered by a blue light, and when it was gone, he was gone too!
For a moment, they stared into blank air in disbelief. The silence was broken by Rubel "Has he really gone to the past?"

Okay please please sincerely tell me how was it? I won't really mind if you criticize it. I have been really hooked to the concept of time travelling but I really don't believe that it will happen any time. But this is just my wild imagination!
