Chapter 2: The Beautiful Smile!

I fell for her beautiful smile,

it made me freeze for a while!

Adi stood frozen as he stared at the beautiful girl in front of him. There was pain in her eyes but at the same time he could see pure innocence in those deep abyss. He could suddenly sense the deepness of those wells, many secrets hid in and he could feel a sense of tendency to expose everything to someone. There was guilt and regret in her eyes. It was the first time he had ever noticed how expressive two eyes can be, what all can it speak out and how to reach someone's mind through them.

The beauty in front of him suddenly stood straight and put her broom down. Her saree flew down and she clutched the pallu covering her head. She was shy and she walked onto the verandah fastly and spoke quietly and clearly. "Ji aap kaun hun? Kabhi Dekha Hi Nahi."

Adi was suddenly broken from his trance and he could only see her legs now. "Mein? I am Adi. I am new here. Kya aap mujhe ye bata sakun ki.." He was falling short of words and he had no idea what to ask. He just wanted to talk with her and keep hearing the melodious voice. "ki ye jallianwala bagh kya hoti hain?"

He knew it was one of the most stupid question anyone would ever ask. She stepped down from the veradah. "Aapko pata Nahi? Very bad! Many Indians have been shot by Englishwalon as they assemble din one place..."

He wasn't even paying attention to what she was saying. He was falling for her voice, it was making him fall into a trance as if it was the most melodious music he had ever heard. The voice told him to go to sleep slowly and enjoy it; to forget what's happening and to get lost in her voice. To be free of all his worries and enjoy!

Suddenly she stopped talking and he was woken up from the trance again. She spoke "Ji kya aap sun raha hein?"

I nodded my heard in agreement and she opened her mouth to speak again. Suddenly someone called from behind. "Pankhuri! Kaun hain?"

Pankhuri, beautiful name. Suits her beautifully! "Koi Adi hain ma!"

"Excuse me! Mein koi Adi nahi hun, mein Aditya Kumar hoon."

"Haan! Mein wo hi kaha! Aapako kuch aur jaanna hein?

Adi was confused, "No! Not really!"

"Kyaa aap jaa sakti ho?"

Adi's only thought was how dare she asked Aditya Kumar to leave from somewhere, then only he remembered about the time and surroundings, nodded and went out.

He stepped out and looked back, but she was already gone and so was her beautiful smile.
