No he didn't. Of course not.

What happened was that the level of the positive response to Rohit's Alexander must have caught SidT unawares. This will never do! - said he to himself. And set out to.take prompt corrective action.

Alexander was first made into a monster with that bull and the plan to pull Ambhikumar apart, as if the earlier baby killing and the murder of the High Priestess was not enough.

By way of a neat finishing touch, Alexander's core identity, as a superb, unrivalled military genius, has now been tarnished with vim and vigour.

What spooked me, wrt this latest degradation, was a very stupid post by a devoted fan on Instagram, trying to whitewash Alexander's abysmal showing against Porus, and singing hosannas to Rohit's relationship with SidT. I could not believe that such folly was possible.😡

Well Aunty, the way I see it, injustice is injustice no matter how it is wrapped, and in the case of Rohit's/Sony Alexander's situation, there is no doubt about this having happened. However, karma has a way of opening doors for good people like him who are sincere, honest, and humble and he will get his due recognition without having to publicize his work himself. Such is the power of social media.

The fact that these posts are on Pothos, one of the most popular sites about Alexander The Great, will ensure that people discover him sooner or later. I can't tell you how pleased I was to see those messages and how proud I feel of Rohit, who has just gone about working hard day in, day out, without complaining about anything, and literally letting his work speak for itself. Though I must say I am curious as to whether he knew from the beginning whether Sony Alexander would win or lose the final battle, because I believe he took this opportunity to win people's hearts in such a way that the outcome of the battle wouldn't put a dent in the popularity of the character or his performances. 😉

If he's managed to take Arabia and now Russia by storm through this show despite limited screen time and the mind-boggling distortions, then it's only going to get bigger. I know my Arab and Turkish friends, many of whom know him from Razia Sultan, are wanting Porus to be telecast in their countries now instead of only being able to watch it online.

Yes, we are annoyed that Rohit won't cut loose from SidT, but perhaps it's just a decision he made to see things through till the end no matter what without burning any bridges. If he's as smart as I know he is, then the next time he'll be a lot more cautious about his role and choice of team, probably ensuring that there is no room for ambiguity around the moral orientation of his character that could allow CVs to wreak such havoc again. At the end of the day, I respect his decision and also give him the benefit of the doubt because I have no idea what is going on in that creative head of his. 😉

Thanks a lot, my dear. But it looks like a fairly long haul, at least another two weeks if I am lucky.

Right now, I am getting first hand experience of what a wet dishrag looks and feels like!😉

That is very sweet of you, child, but there is nothing I can think of, except that you carry on with your PhD theses, and when my head aches a little less, I shall boost my sadly flagging spirits by reading them.
