He's been here for barely 3 episodes, and there're so many sides to him it's getting complicated.
So first we began with a man walking into the hospital in designer shoes and a rather good-looking outfit to match. It's a little peculiar because of all people, you would expect doctors to be more humble people, because their occupation requires them to interact with everybody from all walks of life. But no, he makes a film star entry. Ok.
As his arrogance seems to be growing, he bends down to check out a little boy, speaking to him in a nice tone and diagnosing his pain quickly. I start to think that perhaps his arrogance is only part of his personality, but as a doctor he's a very dedicated and nice guy.
You see him refuse to give Phulwa an appointment and it seems like he's really strict on rules. And even after leaving, he returns to ask her, just one time, why she's been chasing him for so long. The way he talked to her, it seemed very nice. And he smilingly put her down for an appointment. When she grovelled at his feet once again, he brought her up and told her he was busy and gave her the money to see someone else. I was still wondering where he stood, the giving money bit was rather insulting and you would be annoyed at how a person could ignore a patient for an award, but he wasn't outwardly wrong in a sense.
Then she kidnaps him and of course he's angry. His anger and refusal to treat Abhay seemed a natural reaction, yet his insistence that she made him miss the award made him seem too arrogant once again.
Yet, when she spoke of love, he stopped and listened. His face changed, his expressions broke and he felt something. He stood away so they probably never realised it, but it was apparent he knew exactly what he was saying. He may have brushed it off simply as being "emotional", but there was an added softness in the way he looked at them when asking for the X-ray reports.
The coolness reappeared when he asked for the 25 lakhs, but what was intriguing was the way he laughed at their helplessness when Gauri said they were going to be arrested. It was really cheap to bring out her illiteracy like that in the situation, and even Abhay looked at him rather disapprovingly. He was so deep in self-blame for the situation he didn't even say anything against him for taunting Phulwa like that. Re-entering like a hero only made his image even more intolerable, standing there like he was here to save the day or something. And of course, he's a rather manipulative person, taking advantage of the situation to recover his losses.
He's basically really selfish and thoughtless, but a possibly broken person would a deep wound he tries to hide under it all.
Maybe I'm just reading too deep into his character analysis, but kya karen, the CVs make such complex characters in this show that you can't help but analyse their every move and gesture. Up till today we're still studying Abhay's character development since the day he entered the show, and he's still changing day by day. Call it a force of habit if you might.
I'm just really looking forward to the day he has a level confrontation with Phulwa. Would be quite fun to see how she beats him down to show up the flaws in his character and such lol.

AP is still my topmost priority and like most of you I'm desperate here for the day Abhay gets up and resumes from where they left that night, but this new character really left me rather intrigued haha:) And I really want him to get onto the AP side eventually, and help them out with their troubles if needed. That be it:D
