well let's me give u short summery of that show and those characters
Dev is an indian boy who fall in love with London girl who is pammi, Pammi live in london but her nature is like indian !
she was already engaged to rohan in London but that was arranged by her family, when she came to india she fell in love with DEV and remembered that she was going to marry rohan after she was madly in love with DEV
she decided to go back and marry Rohan just to keep hr family happy, Rohan found out about Dev and sacrifized his love for those 2.!!
dev n pammi get married and facing allot of issues because of the girl who dev was going to marry. after pammi left him and asked him to move on he decided to marry anu i when he realized that pammi 's family accepted them he broke the engagement and married to pammi
anu did not like that (u can say she was the villain of the show) trying to get dev but never could !!
so she was the one who created problems in dev's life !!
trying to separate dev n pammi ... she almost got success but never got his love !!! (story is long)
Anu caused dev's accident - one day she decided if she can't get him while she is alive she will kill him and die together but he survived that accident (LOOSING HIS FACE WHO WAS HARDLY INJURED) anu also survived
Rohan (who by then felt DEV IS DEAD .. was about to marry Pammi) did his plastic surgery but changed his face into other man's face ONE CRIMINAL face ROHIT SHARMA (knowing its dev but he wanted pammi so did that)
so Dev was framed for Rohit sharma's actions and ended in jail
after accident - DEV LOST HIS MEMORY

Rohit is criminal BIG DON , in the story he did plastic surgery to get Dev's face (that too.. some one from Pammi's family gave him that idea to get dev'=varun's face)
he was married but also he liked women
big don / most wanted .. that's why he took dev's place
in the story pami knew he is not dev because she realized who dev was (by falling in love with him again - new face wala dev)and finding out all the reality of that operation
so she knew that dev GOT that face of Rohit sharma !!!
So here in our drama we started with
Dev - with his orginal face
Rohit sharma - Got dev's face (Unmarried - we did not say he is married, Loves women-that's why could flirt with Sugni and dream of getting closer to pammi )
