PSH season 2: Episode 10 - NO COMMENTS PLEASE

Amrita is startled by the ringtone of the message arriving on her mobile. She reaches for the phone, but then decides she will check it later. She turns her attention back to the screen in front of her and realises that despite staring at the email in front of her for half an hour she has no idea what it says.

She gives up the pretence of working and walks to the window and looks at the garden. So peaceful. so quite, unlike her. All thanks to Adi !!!!! Why did he have to come back? Why?

She had slowly and painfully (her eyes filing with tears) put all that had happened, all the memories of the last 20 odds years that she and Adi had known each other in a locked corner of her mind and heart just like all the mementos/gifts that she had locked away in a chest and put out of sight. And every time she thought of Adi she reminded herself how angry she was and pushed the thought away and kept herself busy so that until just over week ago she rarely thought of Adi during waking hours. Night time was a different case.

But since he had come back all she keeps seeing is his sad unhappy face, the tears, the desperation in his voice and she was hurting (tears slowly rolling down her cheeks)

Finally yesterday she faced the fact that despite all her efforts deep down she loved Adi and may be always will despite him casting her aside without a moment's thought. She told her parents how she still felt and could see the look of shock and concern, they had been nervous since Adi had come back. But as she said to her parents she will never put her heart on the line again not for Adi, not anyone.

And this morning questions kept popping in her head - what does Aditya want? Was it just forgiveness so he could put the past behind him? Was he only doing it so that she would go and hear his Naniji out? Did he even know what he wanted? She had always seen Aditya as a rational, practical guy who analysed everything and everyone from every angle before making a decision. Until the events of the past year, she had thought that the nearest he got to being emotional was where his Mum his beloved Mamaji and she were concerned. But she had been proved wrong. He himself had admitted that he had fallen in love with - her (she had to take a deep breath before she could even say Sugni in her head). So did he want her to go back with him to avoid awkward moments with her? With Mamaji?

And could she face going back? Would she be able to handle it? handle seeing Adi and her in close proximity without doubting their actions? handle being close to Adi and not letting her feelings cloud her judgement and become Adi's fall back position?

She was also feeling guilty about Naniji. An elderly frail lady was asking to see her - was it fair to deny her what may her one of her last wishes?

She signs deeply, wipes her face and heads back to her desk thinking God what a mess, What should I do? Perhaps she won't need to do anything, Adi may not call or be touch in which case she is worrying about nothing. In the meantime, she had a business to run, people who were relying on her. She sits down at her desk and with difficulty turns her attention to her emails.

Adi slowly stand up and go out slowly .. while he watch at her .. she looked like she was sleeping in peace... he remains there for a while and leaves the room !!!
