On the night of Sugni's engagment to Aditya, Reva's brother attempts to rape. This was a perfect opportunity for Sugni to soil herself and let him have s*x with him. A few minutes with him, then TVS would not want her. Sugni wanted to do her sardakai for that reason - to make herself uninviting to TVS and save Reva's marriage. By letting him have sx with her, then she would not have exhausted all the money on her engagement and Aditya would be free to marry Amrita.

And from what I am aware, he (Reva's brother) is single. Why didn't she just marry him?

(I am actually watching the episodes - am three months behind and so catching up on the details)...it just astonishes me even more while watching these episodes how bad this show has descended.

And the self-righteous Sugni was too much.

Sugni is hypocrite for sure.
I think all this drama of doing sardhakai, trying to sell herself to some thakur is just a ploy. In reality she wanted to become a thakurayan.If that was the case she could have married Vikram after he divorced reva. What was baffling was she never thought of why Vikram had an unhappy marriage, all she had in mind was to save reva's marriage but her real intention was to become mahaan by sacrificing her love but in the process she earned herself the status of thakurayan.

You are perfectly right in saying Laila that she should have married Niranjan but no she didnt wanted to marry any aire gaire but a proper thakur with good wealth,behaviour & culture and Adi seemed to fill the position for her.She didnt spare a moment's thought to Amrita in her selfishness. Sugni can ruin Amrita's life but not Reva's ?? how cheap can this get.

I have no respect for any woman who steals the love of someone else knowingily. Sugni knew full well that Amrita and Aditya were enagaged. She knew this and neither and nor her mother even cared for her or what she would think once she found out. The writers tried to make Amrita look bad and even forced the character to accept this digusting jodi.

I would have like see Vikram marry Niranjan since the poor soul has been tortured by both his women Riva and Sugni 😆

All Bednis can then do Rai for him and sing "Maa ka laadla nikhar gaya"😎

Laila at the time of the engagement, even if Sugni had had sex with Niranjan, Vikram would not have rejected her.

Back then, he was thinking she is in love with him and is just hurt and lashing out by doing sardakai and engaging Adi.

He would have killed Niranjan for sure though.

no woman wants to be willingly raped, do you even understant what that means. sugni wated to go away for vikrams life, if marriage to Adi will make reva more secure in her marriage the she was willing to marrry adi. when Adi anounced that he did not want to marry her, she was willing to leave the village with her mother. but vikram would not let her go.

and as for having sex with reva brother, she would be better of dead. he would use her then pass her to one of his thakur friends everynight. put your self in her place and see how you would feel

and as for reva brother niranjan marring her. that would happen when pigs learn to fly.

PSH is a story of women who are exploited by the male dorminant society. and we should not clap or hands as say good she deserves it. shame on us women if we dont understand other womens plite.

the badni is a community totally exploited by the upper class sexually and it is sad that this still happens to women out there.

Evidently my dear you totally missed the point of my post and what has been going with this show. Some of your statements also are not true such as TVS not letting her leave the area. It was she who did not want to go. Sugni was willing to sleep with any Thakur to get back at TVS. She pressured Aditya to marry her because she wanted to save Reva's marriage and stop TVS from chasing after her. If Sugni was willing to end up with any old Thakur, then why not Reva's brother? He wanted her; he would have probably married and if not, he would have passed her around just like the Thakurs she was willing to end up with. Plus, she would not be forcing Aditya to marry and in turn ruin Amrita's life.

And yes, I do know what rape is about. I used to be a therapist who would work with victims of rape and sexual abuse.

And no, this story is NOT about how women are exploited; it is about a woman who screws up her life once she is let down by her lover. She decides to a) sell herself, b) marry the nephew of her lover, c) stab her good friend in the back, d) flaut herself in front of her exlover.. and the list goes on. She is the one exploiting herself. She's not the victim as you assume as much that has happened has been of her own doing.

MD, let me clarify, when she and her mother were attempting to leave town, they were thrown of the bus because they didn't have the financial means to go there. When he asked her to return, it was from a man who was single who truly loved Sugni and all made a lot of sense. He truly wanted and saw her as an equal. His confession was beautifully written by Ms. Jha (the CV for Qubool Hai with whom I have openly talked to about my disappointment with the show - she is no longer the writer and has not been since July).

Also I do not appreciate your lecture in telling us that we should not say Sugni deserves what she gets without knowing that she did everything in her power to bring upon her own demise. We sympathize with individuals who out of no fault of their own suffer. We all supported and had sympathy with Sugni and her mother when the show started, but it is very hard to feel this way for people who do wrong to others on an ongoing basis and put themselves in a mess for now reason and in a mess that they did not have to be in.

Yes, this show was about how the bednis were expoited when the show started but has not been like that since TVS entered the show.

Word of advise Ms. Nandish fan, I know a lot of about this show and where it ended up and in the future, I'd appreciate it you would keep your lecturing to yourself. I don't know whom you are trying to convince with these self-righteous posts. Thank you
