You are blaming Champa for telling Sugni? Champa did what pretty much anyone would do--tell a friend what she saw. She didn't do anything stupid, nor would she expect Sugni to do something to stupid.

I want to know who in the world would keep not take one friend into confidence regarding what was seen.

And that is in no way comparable to Sugni's stupid and idiotic way of handling things.

Champa went to Sugni because she knows that DV is a low life:

- at the very beginning of the show he and his friends were going to abuse a girl who looked about 12 when Sugni stepped in. As a result Sugni was summoned and would have been raped by DV if G had not been on hand to tell TJS that Sugni and DV are half-siblings

- he has been other bednis (it was implied in a conversation between TJS, his wife and DV in an early episode)

- he has been haressing her (Champa)

- she know he is trapping Kuhu to win a bet.

If you knew that about a guy would you not tell your friend who happens to be related to the girl?

Sugni's mistake was in assuming she could talk to TJS/DV ? She should have remembered that TJS does not listen to anyone especially not a woman not even his own wife so Sugni had no chance. Also DV's solution to any problem with a woman is molestation/rape. Thats is what he was going to do to her so she should have kept Champa out of it.

Also in the household in which Sugni has been bought up the women make the decsions, deal with problems so Sugni's behaviour is consistent with her upbringing. What she has not understood is that she has married into a different caste and their behavior/approach is different to that in her caste. If she was in a normal martial relationship these are things you learn/are explained to you by your husband.

To be fair to Sugni, she assumed Kuhu would not be soo easy to manipulate. Why are girls who are supposed to be educated in cities India (therefore would have heard about such manipulations in schools/collages) shown to be soo dumb?

Re: Champa, what was weird was when Champa spotted DV & Kuhu, she stood there like an idiot eves dropping (luckily DV did not spot her), then ran to tell Sugni about it (Is Sugni Kuhu's mom?), ran into Mami and tells her, then Mami & her go to Sugni to tell her.

My question is why was Champa so anxious to announce Kuhu's romance to the world? I agree Sugni went too far in confronting DV but Champa had no business going nuts about Kuhu. Champa has equal or more blame in getting herself into trouble :)

well in this story every one is trying to help another ...
she knows sugni would care that's why she said... and champa always helped sugni so why would she ignore it or hid it from her ???
even sugni can keep her mouth shut and not do any thing
well champa is innocent she told gulabiya long ago about digvijay but Gulabiya ignored it that's why she wanted to save kuhu's life.

That is so poor to blame Champa for telling Sugni. That is what anyone who sees something bad happening would do, not what Sugni did, by seeing and not speaking up.

All Champa did was warn Sugni about DV intentions. All Sugni had to do was tell Aditya or even Vikram about it and then it would be up to them to do something about it.

The only thing I am blaming Sugni for is:

Taking Champa {a bedni} to TJS home and announcing that it was Champa who saw and heard everything. It's obvious that DV would seek revenge.

When Sugni saw Kuhu and DV together in the house, had she been as concerned as she is now claiming to be, then she should have told Aditya {whom she trusts so much} or even Vikram, MT.

Now when the horse has bolted from the stable, she wants to close the gate.
