I think TVS might be lying about his wife being mentally ill. Maybe he was saying that to Gulabia to get her sympathy.

dhanumma has some kind of backstory here. And TVS is definitely fudging the lines somewhere. all in all, I'm so happy to see the CVs put in some thought and effort!

They'll have to show more specifically what the thakurain's illness is for this to make sense. From TVS point of view it does make sense mostly, he thought his wife was dead, got involved with Sugni, then when Dhanuma told him Reeva was alive, he simply panicked and kept it a secret. That is understandable. But they should clarify somehow where exactly Dhanuma found Reeva and why, I mean she apparently never takes holidays, and one fine day she decided to take a holiday and immediately finds TVS's wife? I remember Varun's SBS interview where he says whenever something good happens with me and Sugni, this budiya comes between.😆 Truer words were never said.

I'm still suspicious of the whole story. Was dhanuma actually keeping the wife in the ashram herself? Plus, she never takes a holiday, but she has a granddaughter that she never speaks of, and who comes to take care of a mad lady at a moment's notice? Actually the girl worked as a nice red herring for the CVs, we were going mad on the forum trying to predict if she was TVS's illegitimate daughter or Reeva's, and here she belongs to Dhanuma.😲

Actually because Gulabiya disbelieves it I have every hope that it is true. If she had belived then it would have all been too easy for TVS. Plus the insanity has been mentioned by other people also, like Amrita, and hinted at in the TVS-jiji conversation.

The daughter was a wonderful red herring - great move on part of the CVs - but you right...how convenient of Dhanuma to have found Riva...she was definitely very pretty and very classy (which she'd pluck more of her hair between her eyebrows - too close together but I see that a lot in desi dramas...)...

Me thinks Dhanuma saw Sugni and hated the idea of ever becoming her servant and she sought for her...she might have actually wanted to look and too her luck FOUND HER. When she failed at getting rid of Sugni, she played her next hand and introduced her to TVS. Now TVS cannot marry Sugni...

BUT TVS is still determined to marry...On the one hand Dhanuma is very loyal to the family and TVS, she is also very loyal to Riva...she so reminds me of Mrs Danvers in Rebecca. She was devoted to the first Mrs. De Winter and loathed the new Mrs. De Winter so much, she tried to psyhologically force her to kill herself...

So we have a mix of Jane Eyre and Rebecca going on here...

Mrs. Danvers aka Dhanuma is loyal to Mr. De Winter but is also underhanded...and we eventaully see this in Dhanuma...

Also, bare in mind folks...Dhanuma has children - a son and that son might be helping her unbeknowest to anyone...TVS knows her well and as some have said, she came with the Riva - or did she?

u know whatever Dhanuma...is doing is just hypocrisy...but just dont know y she is doing this? y she doesnot want VISU got married.?..😕what is her motive?...and Reva definitely will runaway...and will comeback as a villain...

I don't get it...they are kinda messing up vikram's character. He is so "madly" in love with sugni that he will lie to her just so she doesn't leave him? What kind of love is that? And then challenging her mother! Obv gulabiya knows sugni better than him! I just hope that this lying and stupitidy don't actually make him loose sugni. :/
