Couldn't AGREE more👍🏼..Wonderfully put Arathi👏..I am stumped🤗Also I would like to draw the attention towards a particular scene with Haldi where Vikram says that we should actually try and focus on winning hearts ...So We actually see a manipulative ,sophisticated thakur...who takes a long and alter route--- the polished way to win the heart of SUGNI which would ultimately lead to her COMPLETE SURRENDER with her heart, mind, body and soul.

@ PIU : tell me which scene is that..gimme the link...or episode date ..havent seen it

Piu,

Bairi Piya was a Kekta show. Came on Colors, one or two years ago. I didn't watch all episodes but know the story. It was supposed to be about farmer's suicides in Maharashtra but being Kekta, that went out of the window fast. The show became a love story, between an obsessive Thakur (Sharad Kelkar) and a farmer's daughter (Supriya). The Thakur is a womaniser who gets a girl pregnant and Supriya helps the girl escape I think. The thakur plans to take revenge. He kills the man Supriya is married to, who was his servant. And then I don't know how, but he marries her also.

The audience rooted for this pair, so they changed the story to show the thakur as a man really in love. But audience watching a show is not only IF audience, LOL... a lot of people found it absurd that a woman could fall in love with a man who killed her husband. Basically the show lost TRPs and ended in 8 months or 10 months. I don't think it completed one year.

Someone who has seen the show regularly can tell you more.

The Thakur is married by the way...in that story.

Well..I agree that he had resorted to seduction...But the character of TVS is more of a chanakya ...Ever heard of Sama ,dama ,danda, bheda for getting what he desires...
Vikram tried everything and seduction was also a part of it...
He used his
sama -samarthya... all his might strength to stand by her..and her family
dama- he tried to help her with all the money and financial aid...
danda..He even once tried to be intimidating to her
bheda -he actually projected himself to be different from others too...

Similarly..why only seduction ...he used all the steps to gain her trust and make her fall for him slowly steadily and stealthily..
.
Now the question comes--- WHY ?
answers could be many ... for instance..
1.The moment he laid her eyes on her he was intrigued ,fascinated ,attracted drawn towards her and she challenged him that no thakur has been able to trap her... I exactly remember her words... "aaj tak kis thakur mein wo dum nahi jo Sugni ko bandh sake.." Who knows those words might have triggered something...
We have seen that VS has a very sophisticated approach to everything...So may be an interesting power play ..a journey to possess her..to acquire her...COMPLETEY ...
Who would not like to tame an untamed spirit...FUN!!Isn't it?

2. He might be really attracted to her free spirit..her valour --- physical aspect being a part of it.----
.So maybe he wants to have an exclusive right on her...To claim her as his own...That is not love..that cannot be called lust either...Just to have full rights on her...Not only on her body but on her soul too...Remember what's the FUN in acquiring a woman only as a physical being..It has to be the complete surrender of her heart with her whole being...
He could have done her sar dhakai forcefully and fulfilled his physical desire...no one could have stopped him from that...But I guess what he wants a complete SUGNI with her mind body and soul...That is not love ..that is not lust either. Its an issue of power to posses and get whatever you desire...
3.May be settling scores with JT ..he actually stood up in panchayat and took sides with Sugni and her family to settle scores with JT ...

Why are we only viewing the seduction as CREEPY...when each and every step he took had an ulterior motive to it..,(REAL MOTIVE IS YET TO BE SEEN... can be one of the reasons mentioned above or may be a combination of all three..WE ARE YET TO BE ENLIGHTENED)

It was a step by step journey... to gain her trust..to make her worship him like God..To make her obliged..to make her fall in love..To make her dance to his tunes..finally culminating in seduction..In short all the steps towards a COMPLETE POSSESSION on her mind body and soul...
1.Her mind started thinking about him when he became her support system...
2.Her soul started reverberating in his reverence when he went out of his league to stand beside her..
3.Her heart started beating for him..when he confessed his love and made her believe that she also loves him..

4.And finally her body did give in to his touch..yes she was lost in the moment ...
So a complete journey...for acquistion..possession..

You have to watch todays' episode when he says that a gal who did not even allow anyone to speak in midst of her blabbering is actually hesitant to speak now and is unable to find words..There was an air of superiority and a victorious glee on his face as if saying - "SEE YOU CLAIMED TO BE DIFFERENT BUT NOW I AM THE MASTER OF YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS TOO..."
That is the kind of effect he has on her...
I still believe strongly that there is a FUN quotient ..a challenge game definitely involved in Vikram's attitude...No fun in forcefully acquiring her...To handle a woman he needed to win her heart and make her surrender whole heartedly..Not only physically but with all her heart and soul. That's his Style...That's why I called him a preying mantis...Luring his prey ..into submission...

How about he KNOWS how to get a girl to fall for him - he's a charmer - and he's damn good. An art form we don't see among guys. And it does not make him a leech or anything he does as wrong as long as he is sincere. We do not know that yet - it just a matter of what the writers wants.

I like your attempt to at least analyze the whole situation and try to figure out if he was not sincere, then WHAT is he up too? I too have pondered where the writers will take this outside of the boring - he will deceive her cause he's married and his nephew will rescue her drama - and the best one I can come up with is he wants to take revenge on TJS or he wants to prove to Sugni and everyone else that he can win her over. She presented a challenge to him and he won - now why do we need to make that something ugly?

finally a sensible post which the show deserves..not merely pointing out who is the probable lead..what is probable jodi...which jodi to be saved blah blah blah...come on guys think about the strong storyline being shown ...such a gripping characters

u just nailed the character perfectly...and title is apt.. Dancing with the devil in disguise..

yesterday TVS's gesture were giving all sort s of negatives vibes...he knows trick and trade of each and every thing i must say...and a very strong character...it will not be surprising for me if TVS comes out a grey character..that is exactly what gulabiya's concern is...

superb analysis Piu...👏

and yea i dont care if Adi_Sugini pairs up..it will be rather interesting...if that is how story is developing let it be...TVS will still be the key to all...
and about Anuj's acting potential..dont care much about it now...he is not very good but not too bad either..better actor would have definitely pumped up the show..and just coz he lacks good acting does not mean the character should not be explored...infact...i feel sugini being the sole interest of adi and TVS will be really treat to watch...

I would care if they ended up together because they have no chemistry together and it would say to the me that Indians are not ready to move forward with the idea that a leading man can be a man and have some confidence, strength and charm to woo someone. Sorry but it would be really dreadful to watch the Adi-Sungini romance. I would rather eat glass than sit through the show.

is it becoz he is a womaniser and now set his eyes on her?
is he genuinely liking her and eager for her acceptance?

what made him get attracted to/behave like this with sugni is the big question.
Its tough to accept he can be negative becoz from day one he has been kind to the people of the village and other thsn jwala thakur he wasnt shown disliking or hating anyone

however the show may proceed but i am glad to see for a change a strong dominating and manipulative male character who doesnt indulge in cheap antics. Vikram vs Sugni will be exciting to watch eitherways both love or revenge...

Excellent points - if he was insincere it so goes against his character and the grain of the story so far. Why is it that it has to be deceptive? I can believe he is attracted to her - we love Sugni and he's crazy about her.

However, because of previous articles and the fact that leading men do not behave this way on Indian television, we are forced to believe that he is up to something and like we've suggested in the past, he's probably married and she'll end up with Adi. I so will NOT watch the show if is what they plan and I will be venting my frustrations and miseries here and I know I will not be alone.

Regarding lead..I do not understand what's the great issue about...Lead or not..Romantically linked or not Vikram Sugni are the crux of the show...Nothing can change that..I am here for a strong story and not for a particular romantic jodi..I lubb their chemistry..Romantic or otherwise..That's what makes them interesting😳

Here is where we do differ; you're describing the scene was one that was not romantic but it is only not romantic if the writers are intending to do something different. If the writers were modern, western style writers than this would be a romantic scene. What makes this scene questionable is he did not propose marriage to her and referred it to a formality and that is something that is a big red flag.

However, NONE of the previous scenes elude to him being a leech, deceptive or negative. He has said and done things that would never give us the impression that he would want to hurt, demean or humiliate Sugni. HOWEVER, there is one thing that no-one remembers...when Adi threw Sugni out of the house, why didn't TVS take a more aggressive stand? Also, Adi said something to the effect that even he, TVS, did not approve of Bedini's in the house...so, are we going to assume that while TVS is a humanitarian, loves Sugini, he cannot visualize her as his wife? Is that what we will see as the challenge...that there is no wife, no Adi-Sugni jodi but a guy who as virtuous as he appears, has still not come to terms with the idea of accepting a Bedini as his wife? After all, Sugni's mother is right - it has never happened and will TVS make that step and go against his sister, family etc...we'll see what happens. Also, his sister likes TJS son, Sugni's half brother...what if she gets knocked up and in return for a marriage he, TJS, says to TVS, you cannot marry or be with Sugni...he'll be in a bind then...just some ideas...

I cannot picture Sugni and TVS with other people and I do not care for the character of Adi and it is not the actor - he's very handsome...gorgeous in fact, but his character makes me yawn. He's great with Amrita and I hope it stays this way.

See, I don't know if this was the intent of the writers but this is a valid point that I have made when I have discussed leadership issues that it is the context of when this was said. I am surprised how much you read into this scene to suggest that he was doing all of this to win Sugni. When you love someone, you also try to get them to surrender to you heart, mind, body and soul...but you can only have these things IF the person really wants you. Sugini did - she had feelings for him but she never saw these feelings as love...she never allowed it to happen.

This Thakur is married, he gets a girl pregnant and he kills the guy whom this girl is supposed to get married too...mmm, he doesn't sound like he is a good person. Quite a difference from TVS who has been there for Sugini on multiple occasions, has been very supportive to the family, the community etc.

Well said Piu 🤗

I dont know as of now what the real intention of Vikram is behind trapping Sugni but I think from the moment he stepped foot in the village in the railway station & met Sugni for the first time he was captivated & found her different.

Even he is from Thakur family & I guess Thakur's are used to women bowing to them, giving them respect and agreeing to them without any arguement. Sugni too respected him but over time when he saw how different she is and how she tries to go against the customs of a Bedini he might have thought " So here I have a tough case on my hands , here's a girl who cares a damn for Thakur's might so it will be an interesting contest/challenge to win over her" He might have taken up this challenge to show himself how powerful he is & maybe in the past his so called wife might have left him for some strong reasons and somewhere to overcome that he is doing all this just to prove himself that he is capable of getting any women he wants.

All this is my assumption but now its quite sure he is indeed playing a dangerous game with Sugni. First he captivated her mind with his goodness then her soul by his love confession & now slowly her body by trying to seduce her and making her aware of sexual needs by touching her.
