An interesting analysis of the scene. What I found interesting are you comments, and I have underlined them are the signs of what I consider appealing in a leading male character.Laila I cannot see any underlines😕Is it only me😕I have pointed out that often Indian leading men are weak, feeble, fickle, rona dona, obsessive and never portrayed as strong, confident, powerful and sophisticated and saw TVS as a refreshing change. It is more inlines of what we see as leading men in the west.Well Indian dramas have a different taste altogether...Here only two males work...Either Elf'S (EXPRESSIONLESS FACES) masochistic men who do nothing but pine the females on the walls or mumma's boys...who do nothing but make sour faces in the name of acting..Agreed VS is a refreshing change..He is a strong male character No doubt about itHowever, from what I am reading from other posts, these traits are seen as negative among Indians and hence my reading of the scene was entirely different and I saw this as something amazing. Sure he is sweeping her of her feet but to me it read, I am giving you permission to open your heart up to me even though I am a Takur and you are Bedini - you can fall in love with me. I believe he KNOWS she has feelings for him but she's afraid to come to terms with them and he was RiGHT. I was like, this is really great stuff - very bold and very 50 Shades of Grey - modern I should say...but it clearly too good to be true for Indian writers to have taken such bold steps and change the face of leading men on zeetv dramas and tragically these traits are still going to associated with negative characters and positive characters are those who a dimwits, rona dona, obsessive and annoying males who act like fools and don't have a spine.Your interpretation of the scene is different but as I saw it the scene was all about a whole new vibe to his character...If he was only actually waiting for her approval he could have held her hand and expressed her desire to marry her..The scene is not about Vikram being negative or positive..It just reveals that all is not what it seems to be ..Everything is not what it seems to be...The scene was great not because it was a romantic scene but due to the fact that CV's wonderfully potrayed what they wanted to...ie all is not true and genuine and TVS is actually manipulating her thought process..His mannerisms ..everything shows how he actually sets to trap her and make her submit whole heartedly...Regarding potrayal of men in Indian shows..LOL you have to actually see that the audience lubbs masochistic strong men and not whimpering ones..You ahve to see the TRP's of the so called hawwt shows...and its the dim wit bahus that ppl love..See their TRP's LOL😆
Sad.Yes Sad that Males are actually treated as either torturing or dimwits
Plus the Sugni and Aditya jodi is gross considering he is TVS's nephew.Gross 😲That does not make sense as Vikram and Sugni are not married so I do not think it IS..ppl have the right to fall in love ...with anyone they feel like..Love is beyond all these narrow loyaltiesPlus I like Aditya and Amrita.I like Amrita too
Overall, the idea that TVS turns negative goes against so many incidents within the whole show, so it will be truly disappointing if TVS turns out to be a jerk and not the main lead.
