I was like, this is really great stuff - very bold and very 50 Shades of Grey - modern I should say...but it clearly too good to be true for Indian writers to have taken such bold steps and change the face of leading men on zeetv dramas and tragically these traits are still going to associated with negative characters and positive characters are those who a dimwits, rona dona, obsessive and annoying males who act like fools and don't have a spine.Your interpretation of the scene is different but as I saw it the scene was all about a whole new vibe to his character...If he was only actually waiting for her approval he could have held her hand and expressed her desire to marry her..The scene is not about Vikram being negative or positive..It just reveals that all is not what it seems to be ..Everything is not what it seems to be...The scene was great not because it was a romantic scene but due to the fact that CV's wonderfully potrayed what they wanted to...ie all is not true and genuine and TVS is actually manipulating her thought process..His mannerisms ..everything shows how he actually sets to trap her and make her submit whole heartedly...Regarding potrayal of men in Indian shows..LOL you have to actually see that the audience lubbs masochistic strong men and not whimpering ones..You ahve to see the TRP's of the so called hawwt shows...and its the dim wit bahus that ppl love..See their TRP's LOL😆

Overall, the idea that TVS turns negative goes against so many incidents within the whole show, so it will be truly disappointing if TVS turns out to be a jerk and not the main lead.
I have maintained that VS is not negative but he is not pure either..He is grey...I am still not convinced that he will be a lech...I still do believe that we have yet to see many layers in him...I am yet to form an opinion
Regarding lead..I do not understand what's the great issue about...Lead or not..Romantically linked or not Vikram Sugni are the crux of the show...Nothing can change that..I am here for a strong story and not for a particular romantic jodi..I lubb their chemistry..Romantic or otherwise..That's what makes them interesting😳
