So here is my take on yesterdays' episode
WOW!!đ That is what we call really power packed story line and great characters.Ever since its inception,PSH has never ever failed to surprise me as with each passing episode we get to see more and more layers of the enchanting enigma named Thakur Vikram Singh.VS landed in mahuwari and immediately grabbed our eyeballs , not only because he looks fab nearing his forties but because of this sheer fact that that each day is a step by step build up to what lies ahead in the plot for all of us.And today was the day which not only peeled yet another layer from the real nature of TVS ,but also dangerously hinted at what might lie beneath the hidden depths of this man.A complete charmer,a Samaritan,a cool calculative yet steady ,strong person who lost his heart to a blabbering spunky girl barely out of her teens .
The more I ponder over TVS the more fascinating he becomes .Like a purring tiger who fascinates his prey ,he never leaves a hint that he was to feed upon her 'Here feeding means metaphorically To allure her and then show his true colours.FASCINATING!! INTERESTING!! I had always maintained that he reminded me of Vikram Mallah from the movie BANDIT QUEEN with his EPIC dialogue 'There is fun in winning the heart of a woman and not forcefully acquiring her.It so reminds me of TVS' advice to Adi that some relationships are to be nurtured like potted plants 'you have to be patient, water them ,gain trust and then finally relish the fruits of your endeavour. The last scene just summarized it all.Calm ,cool ,conniving, Vikarm and his gestures along with the dance moves reminded me of a famous quote-
"Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate."
Here Sugni is not exactly his opponent but with different take ..she wanted to fly to the city but I can still reacll Vikram's Epic lines- What if I am the same evil thakur?...To which she actually lashed back with her caustic remark that no thakur would ever be able to trap her.
Yes so true ,He has actually become the director of her fate.YES!He did say to her that his coming to mahuwari was fate to meet her but now he is actually trying to dictate her fate. With his polished mannerisms, restrained flamboyance and uninhibited display of love,he is yet to reveal his uterior motives.I loved the scene'not for the swooning romance but because it was a aesthetically done scene and it very well conveyed the hidden undertones with which it must have been perceived.
The scene with its spooking erriness and the brilliantly dangerous looks of TVS excellently potrayed by Varun stood out for me.The way he started with his charming dazed dialogues to captivate her was wonderfully done .(Now Sugni was indeed looking beautiful..You gotta see her big bright eyes.Makes you instantly fall in love with her)..Finally the way he lights the candles ,reminded me of the JT Gulabiya scene,THE BG score with sitar and tablas were seductive. You have to notice the look on his face as he lights the candles and tells her that 'agar tum mere saath waqt nahi bitaogi to mujhe janogi kaise janogi nahi to pasand kaise karogi aur pasand nahi karogi to pyaar kaise karogi'."
And then Sugni with her fatak presence of mind asks him that are there steps for falling in love..Though TVS sheepishly diverts the topic but what I could see was the complete contrastive juxtaposition created by the CV's ..For Sugni impulse is everything..She reacts ..She instantly reacts..She is a carefree spirit who just does whatever her intuition tells her but for Vikram those were indeed the steps'.The look in his eyes while lighting the candles was dangerous..there was a superiority in his voice much unlike the earlier scenes where he was mellowed a bit.Wonderfully done scene!...For Vikram ,he never reacts ,he acts'There were slow and subtle hints to his calculative nature since the very beginning which reminds me of his confrontations with JT where his smirk said it all..where his calm composure actually made us fall in love with him' As soon as man does not take his existence for granted, but beholds it as something unfathomably mysterious, thought begins.
Yes Vikram does not take his existence for granted and he has that mysterious fascinating streak to his character. The way he played along with dance ,his moves his gestures everything was seduction..Yes it was 'If we see the camera angles ..all of them focussed on his gestures rather than his eyes .The scene was beautiful..Not romantically but I was intrigued by the aspect that what actually lies beneath the mask of this COOL smitten in love THAKUR'It seems he is playing mind games..He is actually manipulating her and Sugni is unable to see that. Not because she is blind but because Vikram is the one whom she trusts blindly.Like a young girl who has butterflies in her stomach when someone as convincing as VS claims to love her truly and deeply, she not only dances to his tunes but is actually swept off her feet too.
No I do not say he might be negative..But there are indeed dangerous hints of potent grey shades in him.His dialogue that marriage is only a ritual and love is beyond all this again drops dangerous hints .
It is indeed fascinating 0n the part of the team that how they have maintained the basic essence of the characters playing their ages. The confusion of a 18 yr old girl and a man in his late thirties with his charming art of seduction'đVikram always had the upper hand in their relationship which itself shows in all their conversations where she queries and when he clears that what love actually is..It had a hell patronizing vibe to it.Nicely detailed.đ
To summarize as I see it..We have layers and much more deeper motives of VS which are yet to be revealed. What could be really interesting would be his real motives whether revenge, lust or just to prove that he can acquire her.Whatever the case may be Vikram Sugni whether paired romantically or not ..they have a strange charismatic appeal ,a sudden spark ,a brilliant fire which is set on screen because of them. Now it would be really interesting how Adi actually fits into the scheme of things'I have never been a fan of sweet sugared fairy tale romance'I would lubb to see how things go on from here.
I have only one complain that 'Is this the best choice whom you could find for the portrayal of an important character Adi and pitch him against the likes of the cast and crew of PSH.DISAPPOINTED!!
But for me the show totally belongs to Vikram and Sugni-Romantically or non-romantically ..Their camaraderie and final shift in dynamics would be something I would be looking forward to.So Is VS an innocent soul lost in love or in fact a Devil in disguise..We are yet to fathom..though all the hints point otherwise..
TID -BITS
1. Who thought that in Mahuwari TVS's haveli has a SPOTLIGHT LOLđ ..I mean sue kaun focus kar raha tha when everyone had left for the weddingđ
2. Haila I feel like yawning whenever SE comes on screen𼹠..Popat you should actually learn that Annoyance is different from hurt which is equally different from irritation but you seem to be convinced that all are the same.SIGH BIG SIGH!! You just ruined a character which could have stood tall against TVS.
3. That waltz did not gel with me..I was LOL 'ing..Sugni is indeed a fast learner-Ek din mein driving and then dancing in western Style..I am amazedđ
4. Haila koi mujhe zehar do coz I suddenly realised that Aditya means sun ..So is he really gonna be her sun..and Vikram means one who tries to win 'But the last thing on earth I would like to see would be Mr.SEXY EYES spreading his LOVEPANTI 'Ahhh if they only could get someone sharper ..then it would have just spiced up the whole quotient.
