And devar bhabi pati khichdi is the perfect recipe for TRP aunties. I don't understand. TRP aunties call us youth sanskaar less. Is watching such khichdi is what sanskaari people do. When the sancity of relations are butchered you get TRP. Or does this reflect the sick mentality of people that given a chance we will also like to do all this.
2-3 marriages, bhabi-devar rishta, jeeju-saali rishta not to talk about premarital and extra marital.

I don't understand...

How can we learn sanskar when our elders are 😆 interested in watching such a mess...
And how do they expect us to be sanskaari 😆

Exactly fero. There are times I used to shout at my mother for watching such Khichdis. My bua she knows my anger at close distance that I decided to throw away the remote literally bashing her for watching a show in front of my school going cousins. I told her in very clear terms, if you are watching this nonsense, don't tell later my daughters and doing this and that. Show them something good and if there is nothing good in TV give them some inspirational books to read.

She was literally terrified by my Chandika avatar that she stopped seeing many serials 😆😆😆. And yes many problems of youngsters which parents cry today can be traced back to such stupidity in the serials.

The shows of our times I mean 90s gave clear distinction between good and bad. Protagonists were not supposed to do certain things or if they did they were supposed to feel guilty about it that they have done it. But these shows protagonists themselves justify all the nonsense and everything connected to parivaar ki izzat. it gives the impression that do any khichdi you want behind the doors, but in front of everyone show you have izzat 🤢

That day I asked my mom what are you watching...seriously this is what you say good show,...

My mom was like..."yeah I agree this time ekta went beyond"

And then she stopped watching

No offense but ektas serial is beyond my imagination in kkb matsh and even yhm they make fun of scared relationship ie marraige extra marital affairs divorce illegal pregnancy 2 3 marraiges kitchen politics how to ruin innocents life is this what people like to watch

@fero I know that scene you are talking, I have seen it , but didn't look through much. There is a Malayalam serial running at 7:30 pm which is worse than YHM. So if I ask my mom to stop YHM she might watch that horror.

In that serial a man is told he cant have kids, but his wife gets pregnant. He suspects her and she goes from the house. Incidentally this guy is a doctor

If it was 70s I could have understood, but now . Arey yaar when a lab test can confirm in 30 minutes whether you can father a child or if not there is DNA test to prove the paternity , a doctor ( don't know which university gave him MBBS) suspecting his wife for becoming pregnanat. Kaun sa Zamana hai yaar 🤣🤣🤣 and that is the second most watched show in Malayalam TV

And there is another in Star Vijay Tamil ( I guess it is the tamil remake of SNS) where the husband in the drunken state has relation with his wife and when she becomes pregnant, ask her how. First I didn't understand how the wife allowed him to have relation with her in the drunken state if it is the first time. Second this guy has no memory of what happened in the night after he woke up next day🤣🤣

And the songs Innisai Padi varum, Snehidhane, Munpe vaa, Pudhu vellai Mazhai, Vaa Vennila I can go on and on. 😃 Good choice!

Did the mask thing you saw in Gulmohar Grand. I was also laughing. Is a mask that easily available now 😆😆I actually saw it on a Colors Balaji show, where they use the mask to "unmask" the vamp😆

N I kinda agree with u that not just the audience but even TV Producers n Channel House is responsible for degradation in quality of TV.

I can bet that serials like Hasratein, Swabhimaan can never work on TV today. 😆 Somehow Audience today is brainwashed to watch the heroine Ganga se bhi jyada Pavitra, for her family comes before her career or education, she can sacrifice her happiness for family's well being and invite her Rapist to stay at her house or even share her husband with her Sautan. N they still have the Guts to call these shows as Women empowerment and feminist. Dunno should I laugh or cry on this. 😕

N I am not just talking about Aunties who r in their 50's or 60's but even youngsters who r crazy about all this nonsense.
