I want to watch Baji journey become Peshwa, his warrior side, his victories.

I wasn't interested in Kashi or Mastani, but must say Kashi is growing on me, credit to the actor. I can't say the same about Mastani, this or now is not time for her, Mastani is spoiling it for me.

Thanks for mentioning Balaji and Radhabai's bond.
Balaji and Radhabai's beautiful bond was depicted in a much better manner than any prem kahaani or whatsoever.
Pre leap,Balaji and Radhabai had love, respect and faith in each other. That was real love.❤️Also it was portrayed in such a dignified and classy way man!!👏👏They were relationship goals.
Hell I would prefer one scene of Balaji and his Sarkar to endless so called romantic tales of Baji and Mastani.

I too can't tolerate this Mastani being shown in almost every Baji-Kashi scenes. Actually the main agenda in showing these stuffs is to draw the similarities between Baji and Mastani like both liking to sleep in the ground, both love to become wet in the rain blah blah blah...And how Baji and Kashi are different from each other- this agenda of CVs is running right from the day of her entry in PB. Arrogant and spoilt brat she had been shown in the beginning days, then in the last two days before leap, her character had been remodeled to a good proper shape. And, now again the evil maasi Kumud will be back tomorrow to increase my irritation level, as if Mastani was less.

They don't have to hammer the message about difference in every scene! Baji Kashi different personalities came thru in rain scene, why shove similarity with Mastani now? They can show similar scene post her entry later.

Mastani this early is a big irritant and a huge mistake.

Now coming to the temple scene, it was really good and I've completely loved the scene, how Baji stands for the girl who is not willing to become Devdasi was too good- this scene only gave me a glimpse of the young Baji and the old PB days, good dialogues, good expressions of Baji everything was bang on and that Purohit reminded me of that Pandit in Saswad who was always against Baji and Radhabai, only Bhalu was missing. Baji said if Devdasi pratha is so respectable, why don't the wealthy family consider their girls to be the one, why only girls are taken from the poor families and moreover the girl is not brought here on her wish, nor her family's. And I liked when Baji said "jab Baji ka kisi cheez mein apatti hota hai tab uska bipaati aa jata hai!! " And her parents must go and educate the girl as by educating a girl, more generations and society become educated. And the loveliest part was when Baji said that the moment that girl came to him for help, she became his relative, she became his sister.

It was wonderful scene, found our old or young Baji 😆
His daring his challenging the convention shone thru.

I don't know if anyone here has seen it or not but there was this historical drama on EPIC channel called Siyasat which was based on Indu Sundaresan's novels.

It was about the journey of Prince Salim to Jahangir and of Mehrunissa to Noor Jahan.

That show did not force Salim in Mehrunissa's scenes or vice versa. Both of their journeys were shown parallelly till they intersected with each other at different points in their lives.
Above all more than the love story it focussed on the political intrigue and strategies in the Mughal Court.Salim vs Abu Fazl,Salim's struggle for power,Salim and his father's strained relationship,Salim and Jagat Gosini, etc were beautifully depicted.
Above all they didn't turn Salim into some demigod because it was his show. His flaws and mistakes were shown too.

Why can't we have something like that for Bajirao instead of showing him as a lovesick fool 24/7?? A show can run without romance.

I haven't watched Siyasat but heard it was good.

Funny thing is Baji keeps saying no interest in love no memories of Kashi and then he keeps mooning over Mastani and talk about love! It sounds so false and forced. Balaji Radhabai was love, what they are shoving with Mastani Baji dialogues is empty lecture on love.

Harshu, apart from Mastani it was good episode. Baji Kashi sweet scene and especially the temple scene was really good. We got our old Baji back. Watch only those bits if you can.

I was do irritated after the episode I had to vent my irritation at Mastani scenes.

Yuck Kumud is back 🤢

BTW guys,is it only me or has anyone else too noticed the inconsistencies in Baji's character??😕

Just a few episodes ago,he was telling Gotya about how love is not meant for him,he is married to his mission etc.
Now he is behaving like a die hard romantic and preaching about love and the power of love etc😕 This is highly confusing.

But I really enjoyed that scene in which he shows the priest his place👏
Hopefully we will get more scenes like these and his interactions with Shahu Maharaj,Panth Pratinidhi etc.

Lol I thought the same thing, I mentioned in reply to another post here. After spending years with Kashi he has no fond memories no place for love but he keeps talking about love after just one song?!

Temple scene was highlight of episode for me.

Balaji-Radhabai were a class apart👏👏 The best couple in PB.I miss them. But now I think Chimmaji-Rakhma will somewhat fulfill the void.
I would have liked Baji and Kashi had they portrayed their relationship in a better manner. Now Baji comes across as someone who contradicts his own statements. On one hand he ignores Kashi by giving excuses of Swaraj and on the other hand he is borderline obsessed with Mastani and her song🤢
Kashi is the only person with whom I can connect. She makes me feel for her.

Have you checked out the thread about Anuja Sathe? There are some photos shared.

There is one photo of Balaji Radhabai just looking at each other, he holding a lamp and her face aglow, there is more romance and love in that one photo than all this forced love Jaap and lectures of Mastani and Baji!

Balaji Radhabai was so special love, the Sarkar, the head nods also had magic.

Baji is coming across as odd, which 18 year old will behave like this?! They could have - should have - shown easy affection friendship and natural married relationship between them.

Kashi can love him more but by making Baji uncaring with her, his emotions for Mastani seem so unconvincing.
