@MaddyO,Somehow I had expected Baji and Kashi's relationship to be what Balaji and Radhabai had before the leap.A relationship based on mutual respect, friendship and trust and love.
But God knows what the CVs are trying to show.

Exactly @Maddy and @BlackSheep, I agree with you both. The chemistry of Balaji and Radhabai was pure magic, even their eyelock for once had that magical romance which reflects their mutual respect and love for each other unlike this forced Baji and Mastani's love connection with the song ringing behind and all those stuffs. And Baji-Kashi has not the same chemistry I had expected to be after leap, even if they can't show that beautiful heavenly chemistry like Balaji and his sarkar between Baji and Kashi, they can atleast show great strong bond of friendship between the two which must be there are they had grown up together. But nah...Baji's behavior towards Kashi is completely like a stranger !! And they have already ruined its possibility by bringing Mastani so early.

and What's ironic is karan and ishita do share chemistry.. they look so good together... but the cvs aren't tapping into that potential, just to justify mastani's presence in baji's life.

Even in the movie, they had shown us a brief recap about Baji's achievements and how he had established himself as Peshwa Bajirao. It took 10 years for him to become the most powerful and successful man in the history of Maratha Samrajya after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Everything said and done I didn't sign up for any love story.Be it Kashi-Bajirao or Bajirao-Mastani.When the show began I wanted to see the political and military aspects of Bajirao's life.Bajirao was one of the most intelligent and badass military generals ever.I wanted them to explore that side.
His relationship with Kashibai which was one of the most integral parts of his personal life should have been explored as well.
Mastani entered his life at a later stage. So this is absolutely the wrong time for her entry.
Apart from that I don't have any problem with the character or the actress provided they don't turn Mastani into the stalker which was shown in the movie.

I am here to see Bajirao, the leader, politician and military strategist. Not Bajirao the eternal Aashiq,Devdas or Amar Premi.Be it for Kashi or Mastani.

Very true this is also why I watch this show. But they seem to
Distort history by bring mastani now and focusing on their love story. Come on Peshwa Bajirao I was responsible for reforming the Maratha Empire back after the successful reign of chhatrapati shivaji maharaja and Sambaji maharaj. I want to see war and strategy not some love story...

I agree with your every word. This is why I have watched Peshwa Bajirao from the first episode. We viewers were promised Peshwa Bajirao warrior and political journey. I don't care about love story, what you have described exactly what I wish they show. Keep this Peshwa Bajirao and don't turn into Bajirao Mastani by shoving Mastani ahead of time!.

I have watched very few episodes after leap, thanks to Sony's stupid strategies of changing repeat times every months or so.. But from what I have seen, I am liking neither Kashi nor Mastani.
As someone rightly mentioned here, just before the leap they showed Baji and Kashi trying to accept each other, Kashi coming to the fact that Baji is a warrior and that will always remain top priority in his life, and Baji accepting Kashi's rights over him and her place in his life as his wife. Then why they have shown so much distance between them after 11 years?

I don't like the way Kashi's character has shaped up or the actress playing Kashi either. They should have given more Marathi appeal to her. Which woman in that era did wear a trendy blouse like that? I find characters of Baji's sisters or Chimnaji's wife more authentic. Also I expected Kashi to be bit more mature, but in the scene that I saw, Kashi was looking more like a love struck teenager than daughter in law of a Peshwa family 🤢

The ending frame of last Friday's episode (I guess so), where they showed Baji's face in between Kashi and Mastani's faces, ruined the show for me.

For some odd reason and probably the PH and cvs obsession for Mastani character, they have turned Kashi into insecure wife and Baji into a callous uncaring husband.

A person who rushes to aid of strangers doesn't even show any consideration for his own wife!

For husband and wife who have grown up together to share some memories, relationship should be so natural. They keep harping about Bhiu being childless - when Bhiu is younger to Kashi AND then they show Bajirao Kashi are practically strangers! How odd and ridiculous.

This is Bajirao Kashi time now, there is no place for Mastani. Even though I don't care about Kashi and Mastani presence much, the actor playing Kashi is good.

Line in bold, you said it! Every episode is getting spoilt for me with over screen space for Mastani. She should not even be in PB now.

I haven't been able to watch the episodes recently, and to be honest, I don't feel motivated enough to catch up immediately. From what I've been seeing around the forum, the "epic love triangle" is being presented in a way that messes with historical facts and even creative liberties are not giving Bajirao/Kashibai their due as individuals and as a couple. I didn't sign up to watch this sort of "naya adhyay" in PB2.
If I leave the political aspect aside for a moment to look at the interpersonal aspect, I have just one question. Is it so hard to show an arranged marriage that develops into a happy conjugal relationship based on respect, friendship, and love? No - because the PB team hinted at it when Radhabai mentioned those very words while speaking fondly about her own marriage to Balaji. They alreaady showed the epitome of love in the form of Balaji/Radhabai. "Sarkar" and her beloved "Aho" were depicted so beautifully and so subtly. They understood each other without saying a word. There was potential to show something similar with Bajirao/Kashibai - which is what I was hoping for, especially with the way PB ended - but the leap took off in a direction I didn't expect.

I happened to take a look at the Chimnaji/Rakhmabai scene from the most recent episode...Saurabh's portrayal of Chimnaji is living up to my expectations, while Urvashi has surprised me. They are quite adorable - a source of calm in the middle of chaos. It was comforting to feel a sense of familiarity while watching Chimnaji admire Rakhma from afar and then show absolutely no hesitation while bantering and being romantic with her. In Chimnaji and Rakhma, I saw a bit of Balaji and Radha. Of course, nothing can ever even hope to compare to the beauty of Balaji/Radhabai and the way that Manish/Anuja portrayed that relationship...but Saurabh/Urvashi are fortunate to have characters that are written to be sensible and endearing, with a relationship that is happy and healthy. Alas, neither of these ships was destined to last long... *sigh*
