I feel that since women were not allowed to exhibit their capabilities openly and rule directly they adopted an indirect method of ruling. They wished to rule through their husbands and sons. That's why Soyarabai wanted her son on the throne.
But from whatever I know about her she was cruel for sure.

What I am liking is to see that the women in the show are powerful unlike some previous so called warrior princesses and all. 😆 In the name of warior I see them more arrogant and stubborn than anything else. 😆 So it's great to see both Tarabai and Radhabai like this.
Liked Shahu with Aurangzeb. It was a very interesting scene.Balaji still alive after falling from so high... I just hope no nonsense with this. 😆

I think it was another great episode. Really enjoyed watching this episode. This show has really impressed me so far, loved the acting, scenes and settings. The end was disturbing, but I'm happy that Bajirao is born! 😊

Nice review, Harshu di. ⭐️ I had missed the epi, but managed to catch the repeat. Another good episode! ⭐️
I'm loving the bond between Bajirao's parents. The way he explains how husband and wife equally share everything, including each other's life...wow!! His reference to the Shashtras gives the authentic feel! And Radha Bai is one strong lady! ⭐️Taarabai is a smart queen, but too smart for me to understand. I'm yet to form an opinion about her character in the show. She looks like a tactful administrator, with the quick wit required... but her dialogue... "Hum sahi nirnay nahi lete hain, nirnay lekar use sahi banate hain..." I don't find that right... aren't her decisions too hasty? They might not always turn out to be right, hai na? And where are her white clothes? 🤔I'm amazed by the dialogues in this show, though. Like that one..."Saahas shatru ke praan leta hai aur darr swayam ke praan bachata hai..." 👏Shahu Ji is one adamant prince... let's see how his character shapes up. And yes, dhatura and it's effects aren't leaving us here too. 😆And Bhatt Ji is a ⭐️! He knew Aurangzeb's cruel ways and therefore told not to throw him off the cliff... knowing that the Mughal will only do the opposite. And we have Bajirao's entry today. 🥳 BTW, How is Bhatt Ji going to survive the fall? I thought there might be some river down there, but no...he has already fallen !! 😲

Thanks for the PM.The episode had few really powerful performances. What a wonderful cast they have got!!Bloopers- as few people already mentioned, Tarabai's wardrobe and how miraculously Balaji is going to get saved. He certainly had something on his mind when he asked for that particular option. How I hope they show it logically!!Coming to Tarabai, what she did was according to the circumstances. At the time when Rajaram died, Aurangzeb was at his full force, both of Shivaji's sons Sambhaji and Rajaram were killed, and their sons were too young. So it was necessary to keep control on the situation, or at least to project it like that, or else many people would have rebelled.Tarabai is remembered more as a warrior than as a mere shrewd queen unlike Soyarabai. After Rajaram's death she actively led the Marathas in the war against Aurangzeb for many years. Even with his huge force, Aurangzeb couldn't fully defeat Marathas and finally died before reaching to Delhi. After his death (I am not sure on this, it could be before his death also), mughals released Shahu under some conditions, with a hidden agenda of creating a rift between Sambhaji's and Rajaram's successors, and thus Tarabai and Shahu had differences. Peshwas (Balaji to be specific) were of the opinion of giving the throne to Shahu, so Tarabai had clash with Peshwas too in the later part. This Shahu, Sambhaji's son is not the same as Rajarshi Shahu who was a great ruler at the kingdom of Kolhapur. That was Shahu 2nd.
