actually her Sasuma, Shivaji Maharaj's wife Queen Soyarabai, did same thing, to make a way for her son Rajaram (Tarabai's husband) , when Sambaji (Shahu's father and Shivaji's elder son) was away from kingdom...Soyarabai, even killed many loyalists of Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji raje...

and ironically she was niece of Soyarabai...Tarabai's father was commander in general of Maratha Army and loyalist of sambhaji Raje, but was killed by same Sambhaji Raje, due to Soyarabai's attempts to dethrone Sambhaji, and the loyalist Hambirrao Mohite (Tarabai's father), lost the trust of Sambhaji

in yest's episode . we have seen second wife of King Rajaram...that lady, queen Rajasbai, will be the one to backstab Tarabai and put her in the jail, but it will be much later..there , Tarabai's son will die, but Shahuji will release Tarabai, and take her back to Satara, and there she will stay with him till her last breath..
