Things to keep in mind are that Rumpa's mother has watched the show and knows how Hitesh and his mom are with others. She obviously is genuinely concerned for her daughter who probably is not seeing things clearly cause either she wants to win or is in love with Hitesh (whichever...I am not sure). In my opinion she doesn't want her daughter to go in a household where she will be totally dominated. So her frustration is coming out. She probably didn't say much earlier as its all happening on national tv. But now that things have reached near shaadi , she wants to make her voice heard and doubts cleared.

I do not like certain words she used and we all know dowry is illegal. But yet during marriage , parents do give their daughters clothes and jewellery. She could have done all this in a better manner and with finer words. Or first talked to her daughter and husband in private.

I pity her for going against Hitesh mom, who I am more than 100% sure will give it back ten fold.
