Pavitra Rishta to end next month:Discuss Here

TV show 'Pavitra Rishta' going off air has been written about frequently. Apparently, the show was to end early this year, but the channel revoked its decision. However, after a run of five years, the channel has finally decided to pull the plug on it.

If sources are to be believed, the show will end in the first week of October. When contacted, Hiten Tejwani, who plays Manav, said, "I have not been informed about it."

Some of the highlights of the show: Sushant Singh Rajput " the original male lead " had quit the show in November, 2011. Hiten Tejwani stepped in his shoes to play Manav.

The show has taken approximately seven time leaps, including one generation leap.

Actress Ankita Lokhande, who plays the protagonist in the show, had also threatened to quit as she didn't want to age when the show went for its second big leap in 2013. She took a three - month break and returned with the promise of a meatier role in the leap. She is playing her own granddaughter in the show.

Actors Rithvik Dhanjani, Shakti Arora, Asha Negi, Jia Mustafa and Shruti Kanwar bid farewell to the show as they weren't too happy with their tracks.

The main love story has been spoiled beyond repair now ...

it was about time... should have ended long back

Well, I am unsure of whether this is true or not since we have had such articles so many times, and they proved to be false. This time though it is a little more believable as it does seem that the track is being rushed.

If the show continues, then good for the cast and crew and I hope they improve the storyline. If the show ends, then also it's okay. The show has been on air for 5 years now, and has done well on every front. Even after a change of time slot, the TRP of PR was better than some of the newer much hyped prime time shows. The characters have become memorable, have gained so much appreciation, all the actors, Ekta and Zee have benefitted thanks to this show. If it bows down gracefully as it has run its course, then also no problem. 5 years on air is no small feat at a time when shows get pulled off air so quickly.

Will wait for a confirmation, and for Ankita to come back in something new and fresh in case the news is true.

tis show started wid a beautiful luv story of archana n manav who gained a lot of luv frm d audience. middle class family story made d pupil to connect to them selves, but tat these cvs forgot d main theme of d story, n made d show pathetic. story revived wen third generation came but now its on d same verge. cvs have frustated audience.

This time want pavitra rishta End soon ...because PR Creators already spoil pavitra rishta...
they started naren ankita beautiful love story ...ofter gave pari character & create by naren hero tune by villain totally spoil triangle love ...one man romance by two woman there is no any pavitra rishta ...ofter viewers want 2see Ranvijay & Ankita between pavitra rishta an couple but PR creator not interested show them ..they already spoil ankita naren love story ..
