Due to Cast members health issues, Fanaah will end for now and come back with Season 2 soon.

Ratan Rajput down with dengue, Karan Kundra breaks his ribs... their show ends prematurely

Television show Fanaah, which hit the tube barely two months ago, will soon go off air. Featuring Karan Kundra, Anita Hassanandani and Ratan Rajput, it is inspired by the international series, The Vampire Diaries.
And for once, poor ratings are not to be blamed. We hear unavailability of actors has prompted the makers to end the show. Says a source, "The show will wrap up in a week, because two of the lead actors are unwell. While Ratan is resting after being diagnosed with dengue, Karan has broken his ribs while performing a stunt. It's difficult to shoot under such circumstances. So, we have decided to end it for now and return with Season Two."
Vikas Gupta, programming head of the channel, confirms, "Season One is ending one month before the decided date. While the first season was set in the 1980s, the second one will be set in 2014, which will return soon. We may not repeat the entire cast."

Honestly, Im slightly happy cause Season 1 was a BORE. Everybody was so excited at first, there was so much of promotion(They used Rithvik well, he is a very popular amongst all age groups) but the execution was really bad so Im glad most Rithvik fans were spared. Most of us just followed WUs rather than watching the show.

I hope they come back with a better script in Season 2 cause that will focus on Vidhyut.

haha same though Shails, I saw few were disappointed and I was like arrey good riddance for the time being, atleast now I won't read the WU to see if Vidhyut is entering tomorrow or not

All in all, I hope it starts season 2 by mid-October with better writing and some better actors too.

They knew Karan and Rithvik were popular so used them well, if they had used Preet and Anshuman and Dhara during promotions, wouldn't have created the youth buzz IMO.

MTV Fanaah ends prematurely

MTV Fanaah from the stables of BBC Worldwide was touted to be one of the game changers in the youth fiction space.

But due to unforeseen circumstances, the show is set to end prematurely.

As per media reports, the show's first season, which was supposed to end after a month, will see an early closure.

Reason? Health concerns of its lead actors.

Viewers might remember about the accidents that occurred on the sets of the show where Anita Hassanandani and Karan Kundra were injured. Although Anita suffered a mere sprain, Karan broke his ribs and was put on complete bed rest.

Karan already was missing from the shooting floor and next Ratan Rajpoot went down with dengue.

With both the actors being unavailable for shooting, the show will now end a month early.

Vikas Gupta, Programming Head of MTV confirmed the development in a statement given to a certain section of the media.

The show is expected to get back with season 2.

We wish Ratan and Karan a speedy recovery.
