I don't get it .

Ovi can get over heartbreak in just a year and Purvi cannot in 20 years ?

Why ?

Coz she loved him truly and the effect of love is everlasting ?

But even Ovi loved him truly ...she is still there without bitterness to be at his side in a major sickness , she never remarried [ if she had gotten over him she would have] and she suffered a lot in the marraige to have everlasting bitterness , Arjun did not even mourn their dead baby with her but did Purvi pooja all the time in front of her .

Yet , though she did not get over him personally , she did NOT pass on negativity to her child

and Purvi who was exactly or supposedly exactly in same position , feeling betrayed but still in love , passed on the negativity to her child though she was brought up in a complete family atmosphere .

Why make excuses for Purvi's bad parenting ?

Look at her now ! Planning to shock her child with news of a clandestine marraige AFTER it takes place , opting to stay in India and roam after supposedly married Arjun , then dance with sleazy , Shady men like Raunaq , Chadda . RK and then go on prolonging that stay instead of saying screw it and simply going back to her child who says i need u constantly on each phone !

Choosing to believe Chadda over Arjun ...Chadda who tried to molest her , Chadda who put Arjun in jail , due to whom Arjun faced badnaami and economic loss and jail ...ring a bell ? Exactly same way Purvi had distrusted Arjun 20 yrs back , given him no chance to explain , declared him an adulterer and run away with a divorce !

Thinking negatively is her character trait . Jumping to negative conclusions is her character . Even after seeing Arjun Purvi talking Ovi had waited and waited for a whole day before anniversary party to give Arjun a chance to explain . The fact that he was so wrapped up in his eternal passion for Purvi was different .

What Purvi passed on to Pari was the flaw in her nature , what Ovi passed on to Pia was the unnecessary guilt in her mind ...actually she was NOT at fault for any damn thing . Those 2 had played havoc with her life , but she felt guilty and it slipped in the rearing of the child . But she did a wonderful job , the child turned out happy , positive and looks at world joyfully inspite of growing up without a big family .

Pari , poor child , could have turned out no other way .

The only thing I blame purvi for was not even informing Pari abtt her and RK's marriage. I mean like seriously don't u have the responsibility to tell ur child. Pari would have been negative of her father anyways. Thts no fault of Purvi.

It is . See what Pia said to Ovi . He is exactly the way u told me he is . Charming . Ovi painted a positive picture of absentee Arjun in front of her impressionable mind . See what Pari thinks of Arjun . He spoilt our lives , He is a cheat . This and that . The child was ready to believe her father was a drug dealer ! From where she got this gyaan ? From intuition ? I completely agree that Arjun never made attempt to see her but he never made attempt to see Pia either . Did Purvi tell her like Ovi that he is charming and loves u though he is far away , he is a wonderful man ? No , she conocted stories about Arjun's character !

The child would have grown up thinking her father was a good man but things unluckily did not work out between her mom and him and be slightly sore at him for never seeing her , but the basic opinion would not be that he was faaltu enough to be a drug dealer , thats all Purvi's meherbaani .

Now what she is doing ? Going to tell the child AFTER the marraige with RK , Has she even considered how shocked the child will be ? Staying far away and doing kaands ?

Even when the child was born Purvi played with her life by exchanging her and what not . R there excuses for that too ?

Truth is she has always played with the child's life .

Ovi can get over heartbreak in just a year and Purvi cannot in 20 years? WHY? 😲

Kools your post said everything I wanted to.

Ovi's heart was broken by her childhood bestfriend, who she loved and was engaged to be married..14 yrs of friendship was broken like it was nothing..How was Ovi to get over that? It was not painful for her? She even suffered more while she was married to Arjun for A yr.

And Missy Purvi who was in love for 3 months than married for 3 months had a heart break for friggin 20 yrs to get over?

Ovi did a reaally good job of raising Pia. She has never taught tht Arjun was a negative person because she herself had believed tht he was a good man. Purvi had a different opinion of Arjun. She thought he was a cheat (How? I don't know. I will never understand the Mahaanta mind of Purvi) Seeing Purvi cry all these years will have some effect of Pari. But then she had played with Pari when she like 6 months,
Pia trying to bring her Maasi and Dad together is awkward in way. It doesnt mean tht she should not respect Purvi, but tht is very awkward. Unless u think abt it in this way. By bringing them together, Ovi will be able to come in front of her family and be able to be with her family. I hope they show something like how because her father never talked to her, she came to India in curiosity to see how he is too. Or how her father is actually like,

All I know is Ovi seems to worship the ground that arjun and purvi walk on.
She has filled Pia's ears with god like impressions of her dad and Maasi. Maybe because of guilt.

The twenty years is a whole new debate. Of course I believe that is totally wrong. One week is long enough, let alone a year, and twenty of those is beyond my understanding.

And we don't know if Ovi is married or not.
If a baby can pop up out of nowhere then so can a husband!

Trivedi could be Pia's stepdads surname.
I don't want Ovi to be like Teju, wallowing in her own misery. Teju wasn't happy, Purvi wasn't happy, Arjun wasn't happy, Pari wasn't happy ect ect ect.

I think atleast one person deserved happiness so it would be nice to see some contrast to all that unhappiness. To see that atleast one of them settled down and lived a happy life with someone special.

Whereas for Purvi, for twenty years she felt heartbroken by Arjun's 'betrayal' and that mindset passed onto Pari. Although I feel that Pari is not a bad person, she has a good character but is misunderstood. Pari definitely loves the people around her and is very overprotective over them.

Yup! Def by the time she had pia, she was better from her bitterness. She grew as a charcater but too bad this growth is only valid when it throws shade on purvi. Otherwise, the growth is unbelieable! Lol! Pari's reactions are realistic. Any child would be angry. Whats weird is Pia's sole purpose is to unite Arvi. Why would she do such a thing? Its not her place to. This is where the writers mess up! All this time we had no Pia... Now pia has sprung up just to unite Arvi? C'mon!

That should have been Pari's job. But I think ovi's been telling bedtime stories to Pia about Maasi and Dad, their adventures and how fantastic they both were.

Well growing up on those stories, Pia must have grown attached to the characters in the stories, i.e Maasi and dad.

It's like me and Harry Potter 😆

Ther r 3 cases of women bringing up children with absentee fathers in PR .

Archana . Here the father did not sire the child or even abandon it , unlike Arjun , he actually took his kids with him . Neither was Purvi herself adopted by him and then left behind . Yet Archana told her Manav was her father and to her credit , did not malign Manav as Purvi grew up thinking he was wonderful and thirsting to be with him .

Ovi did the same thing . Here Arjun was really the biological father and fully knew about Pia's existence . Yet he made no efforts to ever be with her . But Ovi kept her personal expectations aside and told the child that her father was a wondrful man and loved her .

Purvi , oddly , had been raised by Archana who had told her fairy tales of an absentee dad , but told Pari that Arjun was a morally debauched man . Each time Pari asked Purvi , u know na what he did with us ? U know na how bad he is ? So bad was her opinion of Arjun that even Archana failed to rectify it with her explanations . It was not mere anger at never being sought out by him , it stemmed from what she believed he had done to her mother . And that she had heard only and only from her mother , who did not really stop and think that her equation with Arjun the lover was different than the equation Pari would have with her biological dad , that betrayed or not it had NOTHING to do with Pari Arjun relation , that it was independent of all this . She dragged Pari in this muck and made her an unhappy child filled with hate .

Ovi Teju had hated Archana but Archana had REALLY done a false case on their father . She had truly lost their little brother by pampering her loony sister . Arjun had done no such thing , he had not betrayed Purvi nor had he stopped loving Pari .
