Tanya, yes it does seem to be a problem especially in India from the news. But this is not a news documentary. This isn't a show that was advertised to be reflective of societal problems. This was supposed to be a show about pure relationships and love. PR is watched by families and children. Is this Ekta's sick joke that this is what love should be?

In my opinion, it is totally inappropriate for this t.v. show to show this kind of thing. Look, sending Raunak to jail is fine, even if they show it, but the trauma and the damage has already been done if in fact Mansi really was raped. Do we think she can just go on with the wedding and be happy just because he gets arrested? It affects her whole life forever.

When PR showed the Ajit / Vandita thing that was really terrible, and shocking and showed that evil got it's way. But Vandu was a side character and not followed, but Mansi is like a parallel lead. My point is that the rape is now the highlight of the show.

For me, this is unacceptable. Of course shows can be made about terrible social problems, but PR has a following of a lot of young girls looking for romantic stories (and a few of us oldies as well)..

I just think the whole thing is very very wrong.

I totally agree with you. That damage would have been done and Mansi as well as shashank would have to live with that for the rest of their lives. I do not think it is appropriate for this show even if its a major social issue and the fact that evil will win over good, it will defeat the whole purpose. We want young girls to get on teh defensive and expose the culprits not get raped and embarrassed and all that result is the culprit go to jail. The emotional turmoil is more than the satisfaction of ranuaq going to jail for the crime

I watched the start of today's episode and could not bear to watch further.

Mansi was raped. I don't know what happened afterwards and neither do I care anymore. This was the last straw for me.

There should be a petition or some sort of complaint against ekta for showing this kind of crap. With arjun purvi and Ovi it was just harmless fun, nothing to take seriously but this is absolutely horrible.

I can't take it. I want to smash ekta's head against a wall.

How dare she show things like that.

I am so disgusted. I want Raunak to be punished badly, I don't want him reformed. They handle the issue of rape in such a wrong way. They make it seem like rape is just another small mistake men made.

I agree. Its not a small mistake. Mansi will live with taht for the rest of her life. No form of punishment ranauq receive will compensate for mansi's pain and shashank by extension. its a real crazy and stupid track. I cant really handle this. It makes women look weak especially if you are poor.

I hope they show that Rounak is punished by hanging him to death. Nothing else will be sufficient for his crime as far as I am concerned. But knowing Ekta I fear the worst that is they might cancel the current marriage track and you know the rest.
