i really hate the rape tracks. they show it too lightly. the rapist isn't even punished most of the time. it such a turn-off from the show.

I agree with you pallavi. This show is getting from bad to worse. Its seems as though the writers are hell bent on ending the show. The story is not working for PR but yet they continue with it. It is whole mess. They might as well end it. I have given up all hopes

Same here. I am so upset. It makes me sick to know that this track actually happened. Mansi was so brave, how did they allow ranauq to get the better of her. How on earth that is possible. In a house full of people, her husband to be and her other family members or no one for that matter did not miss her for all this time.

As I had already written yesterday, India our GREAT nation has already recognized rape as a crime befitting nothing less than a DEATH penalty. PERIOD..

Showing something more heinous than murder in daily soaps is NOT done. Romanticizing a CRIME in the soap that a large number of audience eat, drink , sleep and breathe is simply NOT done...

But what has really rankled me even more is its execution. I have been thinking since I read the WU yesterday, "Can rape happen anywhere"?

Here is the girl (Mansi) who is going to get married soon. Hence, she is the center of everybody's attention/attraction. Moreover, she is in her home ( the SAFEST place on Earth) and is surrounded by her family, her kith and kin and her loved ones.

But, a pervert wants to have his way and it seems he has it. It means that if a creep is determined enough, he can he have it anyway and anywhere, even in a drunken stupor?

Is a woman/girl not safe even in her OWN home, even among her own people?

What message is Ekta EXACTLY trying to give?

This rape was shown of convenience. Mansi's saree/lengha veil was intact and she had no disturbance in her hair and no debris or mittie on her body. I think that he must have gone as far as taking his clothes off and passed out because Mansi was not shown getting up or so.

Perhaps Ekta wants to hear the public's reaction and then take the next step.
