Sowmya nice post. Yes if Ovi was at fault 20 yrs ago than ArMan especially Manav has right to slap and punish her..But as they know the truth which clarified it was Purvi and her own delusional misunderstandings they disowned their other daughter...Why no slaps for Purvi because of her another child of theirs and an innocent grand child suffered..Where is that justice???

ovi is not innocent bc by failing to disclose her pregnancy she contributed to the misunderstanding. now whether she tried to expose the truth or not has yet to be revealed so there is no need to comment on that. also if this is not about bio versus adaopted daughter, why the constant need to reference the word foster versus bio. why not say one daughter over the other or puri over ovi. why the constant need to use the word bio versus foster/adopted😕 is it to reference the fact that she is considered an outsider by Indian society

It is not a question of whether Ovi is innocent or not. The topic is about who had/has a greater responsibility to reach out between the parents and the child (and yeah I know Ovi is an adult, but to her parents she is their child). And this is not about bio vs adopted either, in fact a lot of the posts including mine have not mentioned this at all. It is about blatantly favoring one daughter over the other to the point that one is abandoned on the other's interpretation of the situation without verification of the facts by the parents; especially when this courtesy was accorded to the second daughter (purvi) when she had arguably done an even more egregious mistake (hiding Pari's truth and swapping babies).

Why is it said here that Ovi went into exile in Australia,n ArMan didn't have her phone no or address,so how could ArMan contact Ovi???Isn't Manav a multi--millionaire buisenessman??Can't he hire a ''dhang ka'' Detective or something to track down Ovi??

Ovi has a PRIOR HISTORY of snatching Arjun from Purvi, so ArMaan readily believed that she had done it again!

ArMaan were furious with Ovi, and felt guilty on Purvi's behalf that everytime Ovi snatches her happiness. So they didnt call Ovi as they thought she had settled down with Arjun and her baby in India.

If Ovi could call Arjun frequently in last 20 yrs, why couldnt she call her parents or sister?

If Ovi can forgive Arjun for being callous and uncaring abt Pia, why cant she forgive her parents who didnt even know abt Pia as she had not informed them abt Pia's premature birth or illness?

Just one call from Ovi to Manav or Savita could have cleared up all misunderstandings. Archana may be biased in Purvi's favor but Manav and Savita have always favored Ovi and supported or forgiven her everytime!

Here are Facts not fiction 😛

ArOvi were engaged to be married.

Arjun put Purvi between him and Ovi..Two timed his fiance with her sister. Sister Purvi snatched fiance Arjun from Ovi her own sister.

Why do people forget the facts just because they believe APs fell in love. Mutual or one sided may be but is still love. Engagements are for real & roll into marriages. Love does not erase past facts.

ArVi both played with Ovi and her feelings by starting and continuing their romance after knowing the fact Arjun was engaged to Ovi.

Arjun wasnt engaged to Ovi when he came to India! 😆 He didnt even love Ovi, he just agreed to marry her because he considered her as a good friend and their families had business and personal relationships.

He fell in love with Purvi who didnt know abt Ovi ...Arjun got engaged to Ovi much later, AFTER he had fallen for Purvi and confessed his love to her. Even that engagement was a surprise planned by his dad and Manav, in which he had no hand or prior knowledge.

I beg to differ. True, the so-called 'engagement' did not happen in Canada, before Arjun left for India. But what happened was nothing less. It was a 'final promise' given between 2 families with blessings from elders with a full social and media coverage. This was a done deal in reality, and any breakage of marriage can be devastating for the families both personally and socially, and devastrating to a girl's reputation. I believe one should look or take a marriage promise so lightly - it is never done in real life. Btw, if it wasn't for Ovi allowing Arjun to go without the engagement, he couldn't have come to India. As for Arjun not loving Ovi - that is debatable and is not part of the topic at hand, so will defer for now...

Arjun got engaged to Ovi against his will, but he broke it off!

And he got engaged to Purvi, had all the pre-wedding rituals with her, but then on wedding day, Ovi came with her nefarious deal and emotionally blackmailed Purvi into handing over Arjun to her!

A girl who can barter her own parents' happiness for GETTING the man she wanted...such a girl can never be in her parents' good books! So its not surprising at all that ArMaan thought the worst of Ovi for last 20 yrs.

Besides in this case, Ovi was at fault, she didnt inform her parents abt Pia's birth so why wouldnt they get mad at her?

The daughter who made the mistake of hiding such a HUGE secret shd have called her parents and apologized, not the other way around.
