@ muse10: In the recent past Ive seen some Purvi fans praise Ovi for her improvement/ evolution. Just yesterday I saw an ArVi fan praising Ovi.

But I have not seen any Ovi fans ever say ONE good word abt Purvi, even when she was trying to help Ovi or when she was minding her own business!

And we never call Ovi such horrid, vulgar names as the other side does! I do not even want to mention the names that shes called and shes still being called! Its beneath my dignity!

Anyway this thread is not abt who is bashing which character and why? This is a question abt why Ovi didnt inform her parents abt Pia and why shes now lying and helping Arjun to deceive Purvi.

I agree with you Pallavi

Arjun and Purvi are equally responsible for the separation since they are married and never tried to clear or hear each others words.

Ovi all these 20 years kept her mouth shut knowing her action of hiding the truth caused Arjun-Purvi separation. she never took step to clear the MU between them.

suddenly she came to help them. she didn't take step to unite but for separation she is ready.

She didnt take any step to unite them but ready to separate them after all these years!

I didnt blame Ovi for ArVi separation...but I want to know why she didnt clear it up in all these years with her parents (which would reunite ArVi)... YET now shes lying again to throw out Purvi from Arjun's life!

Well, if Purvi fans are beginning to acknowledge a good side of Ovi that is a good sign.

I cannot speak for others, but I have always acknowledged Purvi's good qualities even though I do defend Ovi.

And finally, you are right that you started the thread about Ovi's actions now. But I think the conversation turned to bashing in response to my question about Onir. So, if you want to end it now, that is fine.

I enter debates not to win an argument, but for exchange. I have conveyed why I think Ovi is helping Arjun in covering. I know that I may get sarcastically ridiculed here by some (not you) for suggesting that Ovi is doing this for her feelings for Arjun, her friendship. That is how it goes. But I rest my case. I have nothing more to say.

She knew all the while that being with Purvi was what Arjun always craved for. But still there was no need for her to open her mouth and tell that one truth. That one truth and Arjun could have his Purvi and she could have her parents. This would have really made her a good friend.

She is still lying and denying Arjun even 2 months of what he had craved in those 20 years, and oh well! she is such a great friend to Arjun.

Please note the following scene is written only with the purpose of hopefully making people smile or laugh - no critique of any character is intended

It just occurred to me that if look at the question a little differently and with humor, it may actually lead to an amusing scenario.

The question would be : Why did Arjun decide to lie about his illness to Purvi?

On the face it, of course, it is that in his opinion he was protecting her from pain of losing him again in a short time.

But can you imagine the following scenario ?

Arjun in the doctor's office and all ready to tell him about the prospect of re-uniting with his estranged wife of 20 years whom he loves dearly.

Doctor tells him about the terrible truth and the potential danger to his life in two months' time.

Arjun is of course shocked. But then he starts thinking rationally (a rarity in this show, but may be a parting gift for Arjun's character) about how he wants to spend the potentially last two months of his life.

And Arjun thinks. . . "If I actually have only two months to live, do I want to spend this time as the husband of either of the Deshmukh sisters? ...Umm. . not really.

I was emotionally blackmailed into marrying Ovi who made my life so miserable for over a year because of her insecurities that I was running here and there like a mad man. So, certainly not her. But then I married the one who blackmailed me in the first place...Well, I do really love her. But my short marriage experience with her too was not exactly the heaven on earth as I had imagined. She constantly fought with me to side with her Baba. . . .It would be worth my while to spend time sorting out differences if I had 40 years ahead of me. But for two months? Who wants to constantly answer questions and be told to do this or that in these last days? Bad idea.

So, let me do one thing. This time, let me emotionally blackmail Ovi into putting up a show. Emotional blackmailing is the trade mark of our triangle any way. I will say that we have to do this for Purvi's "bhalayi". She can't say "no" to returning the favors of all the "bhalayis" Purvi has done to her. Even if she does not agree with the method, she can't decline the request of a dying friend! Ovi will come to my place only when I need her for the show; and Purvi will leave me in anger just as she did 20 years ago.

One last lie to both as I did many years ago when I first came to India, and I can buy my peace.

Wow, I am becoming a genius in emotional blackmailing strategies in my potentially last days!

I can spend this time peacefully being served by Tina and her grandmother who will wait on me day and night without asking questions and will be grateful for whatever I give them - a smile, a pat on the back, or a sum of money..whatever.

But what if I actually recover and do not die? Haan...Yah Sochanewali baat hai.

Oh well, in two more months, it will be the April Fool day! I can always use it to say that I paid back for the fool you both made out of me for years... Aage phir dekha jaegaa!

Hmmm. . .Not bad, not bad Arjun!"

And even in that dark moment, a smile appeared on Arjun's face! It of course, started raining!

archana never bothered to know about ovi and teju also , forget about sachin. vandita was living in same city and if she really wanted to know about her daughters then she could had asked for manav's contact from vandita. however the woman was only engrossed in the outsider purvi.
there was a scene where archana starts living with manav in deshmukh house after 20 years. that time she asked vandita for the photographs of teju ovi. why she didnt ask for 18 long years.
first archana was engrossed in the outsider purvi and then in her spoilt daughter pari. purvi does total kabza over the brain of her surrounding people. she is a born vashikaran specialist.

Outsider Purvi? Really? 😕 Well, Archu never thought her an outsider! Purvi is her daughter in every sense of the word except for giving birth to her! Purvi is the greatest daughter that a mother can have, that she gave up her own lover and happiness for her mother's sake! No wonder Archu loves her most of all.

Like Salman in Baghban, sometimes adopted kids are much better than bio kids at loving and respecting their parents!

@ Bold:Teju said that to Ovi a long time ago and she said it in an emotional moment, when all of them were lamenting the death of Purvi's baby, even Ovi was feeling sorry for Purvi at that time!

We are discussing later events, which are connected to the leap and events after leap. We are discussing abt why Ovi didnt tell anyone in her family abt Pia!

Did u forget just before the leap Ovi was happily shopping with Teju for Sachin's wedding? I didnt see any discord between the twins. In fact they were arguing and teasing each other like typical siblings!

She could have easily told Teju abt Pia.

So its no use badmouthing Teju to prove Ovi wonderful! 😆 Its a PR fact that Ovi stayed in Deshmukh house for 2 months after ArVi wedding, she was partying, shopping, while her premature baby was in Canada hospital! What a wonderful mother! 😲

And in those 2 months she didnt get time to tell Archu or Teju or Savita abt Pia?

So u think Teju being unmarried and childless is a punishment for her? 😕

Teju doesnt seem unhappy to me! Not marrying was her choice! Maybe she got disillusioned with marriage after watching the failed marriages of Purvi and Ovi? 😛

So Purvi is bad, Teju is bad, Archu is bad! Only Ovi is wonderful? 😆 Whatever!

But this topic is abt why is Ovi lying to Purvi NOW when she couldnt tell a truth all these years? That has still not been justified!
