What was the point?

So then if they knew the leap would occur what was the point in developing the soham/guari love story? what was the point in making soham good and then investing time into a storyline that would lead no where. if todays episode was any indication, ankita will play ovi daughter. since the leap was rumored way before the soham realization of love began, what was the point in bringing in these 2 actors when essentially they would be killed at the end. or even if ankita plays soham daughter then what is the point of making purvi pregnant and ovi have a child. i like the soham character and now there is no point bc that character is basically over. even if soham continues post leap, it won't be the same.

I don't know. Maybe the point was to have a little less predictable story? Which can be really interesting sometimes you know. Everyone assumed Gauri and Soham would fall in love. It was a nice change to see that just because a girl cares for a guy doesn't automatically mean she is planning the rest of life with him. Also the whole reform track, girl fixes the messed up guy track, it was different to see that a guy wasn't fixed although it is a story that makes people sad.
