Rithvik Dhanjani (Arjun Kirloskar from Pavitra Rishta) describes himself as a "monsoon person". He tells us, "I just can't stay at home when it rains, I have to take my bike and ride around the city. Most people may find it all messy, but I can't enjoy the monsoon being indoors."
It may be a co-incidence, but all of his romantic scenes with Asha Negi (Purvi) in Pavitra Rishta have been set in the rains. The one that's his absolute favourite is when "I confess my love for Purvi and she says it is not right. I'm all set to go back to Canada and she stops me... That was a nice scene," says Rithvik.
The actor has grown up in Dubai and says that his first monsoon experience in India was a memorable one. "Some years ago, all my childhood friends from Dubai decided to visit Lonavala. The beauty of the place in the monsoons mesmerised me. We sat under a waterfall that had a staircase under it and I remember these big groups of monkeys that were there. We feasted on hot butta and bhajiya -pure bliss!" he recalls.
Besides being passionate about acting and dancing, not many know that Rithvik loves music as well. Rithvik tells us, "I love listening to this song composed and sung by my Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahani co-star Suyash Kumar with the Meet brothers... it's called Baarish Mein Teri. It's a song that makes the monsoon seem even more romantic."
Like most Mumbaikars, the actor has just one problem with the season. "I hate the traffic and the potholes that open up during this season," he rues. We feel the same!
