NOBODY asked to see it at the hospital, neither Archu nor Manav nor any of the other elders, NOBODY mentioned about Purvi's baby's last rites according to Hindu customs. That means Deshmukh family or Karanjkar family dont consider a stillborn baby should have a funeral or last rites. Same logic applies to Ovi's baby. They simply dont consider it important to have a funeral for a stillborn child. Sad, but true!
Purvi lived in Mumbai thats true, but how would she know exactly where red light areas are located? Mumbai is a HUGE city! I dont think decent people keep knowledge of such things!😆

Lolz. Yup! I live in Mumbai myself. I can honestly tell u that i really dont know anything about the red light areas near by home.

No living in a red light area does not make anyone bad . It only makes them super careless .

Even that was wrong . But in Ovi's case it got more highlighted as she was given NO CHOICE . Maybe Onir and Purvi didn't even think in that direction as the baby was VERY MUCH ALIVE . Performing rites for it would have been awful and heartless . Onir has no parents and he and Purvi did not take initiative coz the baby was ALIVE .

Btw , telling that an alive baby is dead is AWFUL and INAUSPICIOUS . Purvi did it . She told white lies about her living baby . She hogged false sympathy when Ovi was the victim . That in itself is awful .

Honestly, to tell u all of us in the arvi AT were disgusted by purvi's baby swapping act! As far as i am concered i really am nt much of a purvi fan , kinda like the AR bit more of arvi and agree yup, purvi can be really immature and she really cannot confront situatations.
Well, frankly this last rites thought didnt even come to head till tonight. I guess it got underlined to u guys because u admire Ovi. Yes, onir and purvi might nt have thought in that direction but the adults might have right? Manav archana DK? Clearly even the mention of the body of purvi's child wasnt made. So i guess if u say that not performing the last rites of the baby was unfair to Ovi same applies in Purvi's case. .

Yup! But i think we can agree that Purvi never really by choice choose to live their so taking this point and bashing her is not really correct.

dear friends,
my request to you all is don't try connecting events in this serial
because they never match
in this, we ovi supporters, arvi fans as well as punir fans agree
because the CVs themselves forget what they are showing us
hence it is all futile

Pallavi, I know you stated categorically that you don't want to debate in some other thread, so I generally don't debate with you. But as regards this post -for Purvi's baby last rites, the onus is on Onir or his family to do it. As for Ovi's baby - the last rites should be done by DK/Arjun. Of course - I am stating this because at the time of the baby's death - the baby was considered first Onir and latter revealed to be Ovi's. the Karanjkars nor the Deshmuks really can perform the rites...

My problem isn't why Purvi is living in a red-light area. Housing is cheaper in these type of areas, so it is understandable as Punir is fighting it out.
My problem is how Arjun and DK has allowed Pari to live in that area?? Ho w could they allow, even if Pari is a baby?? That is my problem here...

Misscarlett it goes like this

the rites for a dead baby have to be performed by the father's family .

In the Purvi case , when it was assumed the baby was dead , Onir's family will take the silent initiative . These initiatives r taken quietly .

Now Onir has no family . So he and Purvi have to do it . Manav and his family cannot . If they assumed by the time they reached that Onir had taken care of it its perfectly normal , no one will even talk about it .

In Ovi case , DK and Arjun have to do it . Now they understood much later that a child HAD been born and died . So ideally DK should do a quiet shanti pooja for the peace of his household as it is believed that an unmourned jiva [ a soul] brings misfortune to the house due to the sadness of not even being remembered .

So u see there can be no comparison between the two as both r totally different cases .
