Parth Samthaan reveals maintaining DISTANCE from Seher Hone Ko Hai costar Rishita Kothari: 'Nahi chahta ke..'

Actor Parth Samthaan, who is gearing up for his return to television with Colors TV’s upcoming drama Seher Hone Ko Hai, recently spoke to India Forums about his dynamic with co-star Rishita Kothari. The show marks Rishita’s debut in the television industry, and Parth shared his first impressions of her as a newcomer.

Reflecting on their early workshops together, Parth said, “Offscreen toh main bas itna kehna chahunga ke maine shuruat mein workshops unke sath kiye aur utne mein hi mujhe samjh aagaya ke for a change ladki intelligent hai, in a way ke lines ko ache se grasp kar leti hai kyunki uska first show hai toh aasan nahi hota camera ko face karna aap conscious hojate ho, but uski grasping power achhi hai aur especially jab Urdu bhashi hoti hai toh mushqilat hojata hai baat kar ne mein but uski grasping power uske scenes ko lekar achha hai, thehrav hai. Abhi nayi hai, in experienced hai toh mujhe lagta hai ke woh us kisam ka ek natural way, freshness bhi aajati hai ke kuch naya dekhne ko mil raha hai logo ko, acting dekhne ko nahi mil rahi. Ye ek achi hai baat humare liye fayde mein hai.”

While he praised her sincerity and ability to adapt to the challenges of a first show, Parth also revealed that he has made a deliberate choice to keep some distance from Rishita when the cameras aren’t rolling. He explained that this decision is rooted in the nature of his character.

He shared, “Offscreen, jabse show shuru hua hai, workshops ke baad, maine ek kisam ka distance bana ke rakha hai uske sath kyunki kahi na kahi ye kirdar jo hai ye aurato se dur rehta hai, bhale hi uska past ho ya aisa kuch ho, ye nahi chahta ke kisi aurat ko apne paas laaye ya apne karib laaye. Main bas wahi kirdar ko maintain karna chahta hoon offscreen bhi. Chemistry main unknowingly build nai karna chahta kyunki screen pe fir itna mazza nahi aata. Main jab bhi Rishita urf Seher ko samne dekhunga toh main as Seher hi dekhunga. Pehli bar main dekh raha hoon, pehli bar main uske sath baatchit kar raha hoon toh main chahta hoon ke pehla hi ho. Main nahi chahta ke chemistry already build hojaye, mazza nahi aata phir onscreen dekhne ke liye isliye maine distance bana ke rakha hai uske sath.”

Parth believes this strategy will help preserve the rawness and authenticity he wants to bring to his character’s interactions on screen. According to him, real-time discovery between co-actors enhances the chemistry viewers eventually see.
