But one more thing do u honestly think that the cvs of PR would have gone into such details like who has the rights to perform the last rites and who doesnt so as to justify why purvi's supposed dead baby didnt get proper respects but purvi is a bad character who didnt even perform the last rites of her baby? I really dont think so!
The bottom line is that the cvs didnt believe such a scene would be necessary to the story so they didnt show it! PR isnt how i met your mother where every microscopic detail is planned!

Haha sacchi yaar! Wot u expect from cvs who show purvi is a freakin MBA at the age of 16? There are so many inconsistances in the story. Whose gonna sit and research who gets to perform the rites and all that nonsense! In the end of d day its all about the trpz. Nobody cares about being politically correct!

Ekta is only going more downhill with every passing day
at least she used some logic previously in her shows
now , this girl is a MBA , and not only MBA best employee at the age of 18 😆
i think they write their stories a day before the shoot
and suddenly change everything
i have never watched a show SO inconsistent

Lolz. I always make a point to stay the hell away from ekta's shows. I only started watching PR after rithvik started to star in it. Its only because i am his loyal fan that i am tolerating this shit! Trying to find logic in EK show is like asking a horse to speak french!

Pallavi, I know you stated categorically that you don't want to debate in some other thread, so I generally don't debate with you. But as regards this post -for Purvi's baby last rites, the onus is on Onir or his family to do it. As for Ovi's baby - the last rites should be done by DK/Arjun. Of course - I am stating this because at the time of the baby's death - the baby was considered first Onir and latter revealed to be Ovi's. the Karanjkars nor the Deshmuks really can perform the rites...

In most traditional families, its the elders, the grandmas and grandaunts who advise, arrange for and conduct such rituals and ceremonies, be it weddings or funerals.
By that logic, the 2 Aajis shd have advised Purvi and Onir to have a proper funeral for their supposedly dead child. Onir is a youngish man, he has no family elders that we know of, (perhaps he lied abt that too) and men usually have no idea abt such things. Its the elderly women who organize such rituals. Like the 2 Aajis organized and conducted the god bharai of Ovi and Purvi.
But these 2 aajis didnt bother because it was Purvi's kid and even Archana didnt say anything abt last rites for the stillborn. So it was amiss on their part and actually on the part of the CVs.
BTW Im curious abt one thing...do stillborn babies have last rites in India?
By God's blessings, we never had such a case in our families, there were miscarriages but no stillborns. I know Christians bury their stillborn here but do they have last rites for stillborns in India? Or are they just cremated by the hospital?

It is an essential detail Not a microscopic one coz a baby's death is NOT a microscopic thing .

They showed details ...minute ones like distributing namkaran ghugryas...i was amazed that they even knew . They showed Arjun being advised to say Kurr before naming the baby . Truly amazing .

But they purposefully did not show DK doing a shanti after knowing of his grandchild's demise coz CVS wanted to give no credence to Ovi's grief . Instead they wanted to give footage to Purvi's nautanki of doing hoo hoo hoo for a living baby pretending it was dead , truly her sins r awful .

All visiting family members were sympathising with her for what ?? A live baby who was inauspiciously declared dead by the mother ?

There is no question of me having any pov dear . In this discussion i am merely stating facts , keeping my pov aside .

i don't think elderly Aaji's from another culture feel comfortable advising a person from another culture about such things , they generally keep uncomfortably silent . And i don't think their silence was due to any meanness or pettiness , they have lavished love on Purvi , its she who has betrayed their trust and that too was found out later .

Babies less than a year old get cremated. But what abt newborns that are stillborn or die just after birth? Actually now I remember my cousin's 2nd son died when he was a few hrs old, I heard that tragic news but didnt have the heart to ask if he was cremated. Such a subject is so delicate and tragic that relatives dont even talk abt it! Maybe thats why the aajis or Archu didnt talk abt it? They presumed that Onir had cremated the baby and probably Purvi also thought that Onir had done the needful. She had just given birth and could not run around arranging for cremation. People usually dont talk abt such things, they want to avoid the inevitable.

However, If the Aajis could organize Purvi's god bharai they could have arranged for her baby's cremation too...Onir doesnt have any family in Mumbai, at least they know that!
