There should not be any -Ve connotation to lust or sex..Its all part of a relationship or marriage..I 100% agree with JulieD's post abt what Arjun felt for Ovi and Purvi..Purvi not only the Indian Novelty but a fighting young lady made it hard for Arjun to resist..A challange where Ovi was always there loving him...No challange..my 2 cents on LL&S..By No means I am generalizing anything abt men or women but what I have seen, read and heard 😃

Varsha, I love you post too. I got 3 gems in one go😃. I agree about men and their idea of sex. Yes, they can easily lust for any number of women and have sex – whenever they want. I absolutely agree that looks don't matter, nor the need to love to be sexually involved. So, probably Purvi was lucky, she was loved and lusted by Arjun, whereas, for Ovi – it was simply a physical attraction – we may never know if Arjun had any feelings for Ovi or not. But for a girl, she will probably not even lust for a man, if she can't convince herself that she loves him. Yes, a girl needs that cloak of love to even lust for a man and be engaged romantically with him. Makes sense….

Agree with all the beautiful posts here . Practically nothing more to add coz my thoughts r in each post . Totally agree that men r wired differently . Arjun is a typical male specimen ...chauvinist and ready to keep his feet on both rocks in the sea . I hope Purvi slaps him ans tells him to stay out of her marraige and chooses Onir over him ...he deserves it as he never told her that about his marraige to Ovi .

Kalapi I am not sure whether Arjun loved or lusted or both for Purvi and -or Ovi..Though I feel Arjun's attraction to Purvi was not of love...I will keep my stand on Purvi being Indian novelty, the indian look, the fighting young teenager, challenge, made it a good attraction for him although she did not have the model look but pleasing to eyes.. Coming from middle class and sanskari bhashans also gave him a little more curiosity and attraction for this girl..Purvi defo is lucky for Arjun to fall for her...Arjun would have never picked Purvi type had he been in Canada..

Now I dont believe Arjun did not love Ovi...There has to be something which made him jealous of the other dude who tried making a pass at Ovi...He volunteered to marry her on his own w/o any coersion..Again during their 15 months marriage He has made love or had sex with her...THere is something between the two which he himself does not know...He is a confused man..He just wants his cake and eat it too..Ovi is a simple girl in this sense..She never have been shown of a loose character in Canada...She loved Arjun and would do anything to be with him...She even spent that one night with him just for the goodbye sake..

Purvi has never loved Arjun...She only loves herself and no one else..

Purvi doesn't even love Onir . Or Pari . Incapable of that emotion .

With Purvi , the turn on was mental ...the looks were not that important . With Ovi the latter mattered .

Now, you post have confused me...you think his attraction to Purvi was mental and became later physical - he never really loved her...maybe, maybe the thought he loved her, made the act of sex happen...interesting...

With Ovi, since he is jealous with her, there is more than just lust. May be you are right, for Arjun is cool with Onir😆, they share private notes😆😉, he isn't jealous at all of Onir - which is really unnatural😆. So, here Arjun physically need Purvi - now you have made me really think - kinda makes sense...will have sleep on it 😆makes so much sense in a way...

And yes , i believe that lust is not necessarily negative . In fact i don't know why that word is always used negatively . In marathi and sansrit it is called vasana . It is neither negative nor positive , it is simply there. A human being is born with that trait .
