Amen kools amen for the last time it was a deal.I don't remember Ovi costantly calling purvi and threatening her and she was definately not cornered.

It was all Ovi's fault. She always wanted to get Arjun. It was kind of like Arjun was forced to accept to marry her at first because of her actions [pretending she was engaged to arjun, making manav and dk basically force to tell arjun to marry her. Or trying to make him jealous. Well, I'm not a purvi fan either. She also started the problem. [As they say, claps do not start with one hand.] Both Purvi and Ovi created problems in Arjun's life. One one hand, being a sati savitri/ a sacrifice queen like purvi, and a rich brat/ a selfish person like Ovi.

Ovi is definitely one character I would call GREY. Her and Soham are characters that I have found really interesting. As you have said, Ovi has scope for growth. When I see Ovi on screen I see a child that was abandoned by her mother, and the ripple effects it has caused.
I would like to add that I am really glad to see such brilliant analysis on the show and it's characters, even with what is being shown in the show right now. Such great observations by everyone here. 😃

yeah you see a person who was abandoned by her mom[ she was never abandoned by her mom] and I see a rich, selfish brat who ruins everyone's lives and cries like a baby all the time. Her character is not interesting at all-in my opinion. She is just a mentally ill girl.

Ovi is a negative character. Now that she has Arjun, what's the point of plotting? And, if you remember a few months ago, she was plotting against Purvi so she could get Arjun when they were going to be married. Then she married Arjun, just the way she wanted, which is the root of the problems. And, let me remind you a FACT, Ovi has done several mistakes, not just one just like you mentioned.

Call her a brat. call her mentally ill or whatever, but no one deserves to be left alone by their mother. What i mean by abandonment is leaving, and Archana did leave Ovi. Ovi hasn't really had the love and care of a mother in the way a child should have.

Yes you can call her selfish, a cry baby and everything else under the sun. I however feel that there is a reason, however hard that reason might be to digest, as to why she is what she is.

I for one cannot say that about any other character in the show. 😊

She was NOT abandoned by her mother...It was all Savita's ploy..because she wanted to to separate manav and archuna. Besides, even teju was " abandoned" by her mother, like you say...Did she turn out like a brat like her...NO

Whether or not it was Savita's ploy, Ovi was told she was abandoned and technically she was if her Mother never fought for them, the word abandoned is correct. Therefore, that was Ovi's thought process for 18yrs.

The fact is

her mother never gave her importance enough to fight for her in court but she gave that importance to random chawl people who never featured again in her life

her mother gave her 100 % to her adopted child to assuage herself of the guilt and to release her maternal instincts

Savita may have not given plane tickets but there was NOTHING to stop the mother from phoning her in Canada by finding the address through Vandu her chamchi

Just coz Teju is different it does not mean Ovi HAS to be like her coz all 5 fingers r not alike . It is very clear that the abandonment issue affected her more .
