Yeah the mess is created by her only till the day Arjun consummated with her
Arjun could just divorce Ovi if he was so unhappy
But no he gave her the patni ka darja
Then after consummating with her
He kept thinking of his ex
Both got pregnant
And now suddenly pari is more special because she is purvis baby

I am not saying Ovi has no fault
But she paid for whatever she did
She is in a loveless marriage and now rearing up her husbands baby as her own without knowledge
Oh and she doesn't know her baby is dead

Calling Ovi a villain won't change anything , she is not a villain
She is not a negative character
Negative characters are people who are always creating problems for others
But Ovi could care less
She doesn't mess with Purvi unless she messes with her
Ovi hated Purvi because Arjun called off their engagement for Purvi
Which is normal

Newt 2007, today's episode clinched it that to Arjun Ovi will always come first.

As I wrote elsewhere, Ovi has always been family to him and he is used to protecting her. The night of the engagement, even in that first flush of love, he did not think twice to put Ovi before Purvi. He might have made half-heated attempts to tell her of his love for Purvi but he stalled. Remember the car scene where Ovi was fawning all over him with Purvi in the front seat, he did not show half the same concern for Purvi that she might be hurting.

Thank you for pointing it out, Arjun has privately thanked Purvi for changing him but publicly has always acknowledged Ovi for his success. Even after he tells Manav he loves Purvi when Ovi hugs him on the street, Arjun does not tell her he is going to live in the chawl for Purvi, he tells Ovi, he is doing this for himself.

Ovi is long habit for Arjun, Purvi was a novelty, a diversion, wish he had not gotten her pregnant though. And as you say, no good would have come out of Purvi sticking around in Mumbai after discovering she was pregnant, nothing would have happened, she would have been the other woman, blighted, cursed while Ovi would have humiliated her further, and Arjun would not have been able to tear himself away from Ovi.

I have always felt that Purvi asking him to marry Ovi was a test of sorts, she desperately wanted him to say no, when he said yes, it only proved to her what she had always known that Arjun was Ovi's, not hers.

Today's episode as well as yesterday's showed Arjun worried over Ovi and how she would receive the news. His overriding concern is for his wife (natural) and it proves that he has long moved on. The kiss and the stroking of the hair bespoke volumes, there was tenderness and concern. Arjun has grown and so has Ovi.

Ovi was not suspicious of Purvi's call, they share a normal husband and wife relationship, she trusts him, she knows he will never give her cause again for worry. He perhaps feels reassured by Ovi's obsession for him especially because Purvi left him. He understands Ovi is here to stay, they began as friends, had their ups and downs, had a baby, lost a baby, and have settled down. Purvi might remain a nostalgic lingering pang but she has been relagated to a what might have been.

Arjun's silence this time is not forced upon him by Purvi. Neither was it after the marriage when he said what he wanted to do would turn purvi's family topsy turvy. She told him then "Do what you think is right (perhaps she had found out by them that she was carrying his baby?). He did what was right, he did nothing, he remained in his marriage with Ovi.

No, I still don't forgive Ovi for what she did, she still needs to acknowledge it to both Arjun and Purvi or at least to Purvi and then she can move on merrily. She needs to find out the truth about Pari, that will be just desserts in a way but she deserves her Arjun now and the happiness he can give her.

Jhanvi,

I may have forgiven ovi and you still don't, but I have to agree that I do want her to finally just apologize not to purvi, but to Arjun , archana and manav whose happiness she was bartering. she honestly owes nothing to purvi. purvi accepted her deal without looking at her alternate options and I expected her to be strong and more resolute for her love than the helplessness she displayed instead. so ovi put a deal, purvi bowed down to it without using brains. Ovi and purvi have never treated each other like sisters, considering they bartered one man between them. Purvi did not care for ovi when she was happily getting engaged to Arjun and ovi was commuting suicide. Nobody can deny that. ovi did not care for purvi when she decided to barter with her on her weakness. so now purvis new found concern for ovi is surprising to me , as is Ovis softening towards her. Both are feeling guilty for having taken each others love away. purvi for having accepted Arjun's proposal knowing the damage and complication it would cause for family and the pain it would give ovi. ovi for having snatched Arjun from purvi. it is that guilt which makes purvi look out for ovi superficially, and ovi to soften up to purvis loss of baby..

Ovi owes an apology to Arjun as Arjun does to ovi. He discarded her as even a friend loosely as soon As he found purvi. Your arguments about Pre-admitting to family about purvi and his concern at how ovi would tak it was thrown out of the window once he let the truth out. he not once sat ovi down nicely and helped her through acceptance. She was commuting suicide and he was busy romancing in the rains. post marriage, he has made superficial attempts at making it work even though it was his choice to stay or walk out of this sham, but he always ignored ovi when purvi was clouding his heart and mind.

But I do think both need to apologize for that deal and after and Arjun needs to make a final decision of either ending on a mutual good note with ovi or making this marriage work by giving his 100%. ovi also needs to acknowledge her part in this mess and ask him what his heart really wants. That decision houldbe final and then no purvi should make priority for him.

ovi should apologize to manav because as the father she loves so dearly, se traded his happiness for hers. that done, the girl has no black spots to clear.

I may not agree that Arjun has always looked out for ovi, and I still don't see him doing so, but I loved your post. It was pretty convincing and as usual contrary to how I think but delightful to read :)

Couldn't agree more
But I think Purvi owes Ovi an apology for trying to rule her life
She doesn't need to play godmother to ovi
It's high time she realizes that

Dear Pari, likewise :) I enjoy reading your take on the epis equally.

More than to Arjun, Ovi owes an apology to Purvi. Arjun by now probably understands Ovi and sees her unspoken apology in her efforts to make things work between them.

As you point out, there has been no sisterly love lost between the two girls and Ovi in my mind needs to let Purvi know she was wrong in judging her so evilly (granted Ovi didn't know Purvi but that didn't give her the right to deem her a gold digger, a home wrecker among others) If you believe she owes Manav an apology, she owes Purvi one too, common human decency, she did force the girl to give up her fiance a day before her marriage.

We may never agree on this :)

Purvi was not trying to rule Ovi's life, she gave up Arjun at Ovi's bidding, left town because Ovi didn't want her there (admittedly Purvi had other reasons as well), left her aai's house when she was pregnant because Ovi didn't want her there.

Let us not forget the myriad instances where Ovi has been more than downright nasty to Purvi, her bday party, the trying to buy Purvi off with a check, the evil deal itself, behavior at her parents' party, at Kolkata, at her aai's house, the list goes on and on. She has been a selfish girl, hopefully on the way to being reformed in spite of temporary lapses.

Who is ruling whose life? Ovi has ruined Purvi's life completely. And now Purvi has handed over her baby as well to Ovi. If the last is considered ruling Ovi's life, I agree that Purvi should apologize to Ovi and take back her baby with that apology. Wonder if Ovi would like that? Not because she has gotten to love Pari as her own but knowing that "her Arjun" will always be visiting Purvi to see his Pari.

No, my dear, Purvi is the wronged one here, Ovi owes her a big time apology.

God, you haven't gone to bed yet😊, well, I am after this one post to you 😃
In a way, I feel she has been way more wronged than anyone else. This I say (not so much for I like her character, which I do 😃 and you know it), but for I come from an Indian upbringing and having a daughter myself. In an Indian system, the word given in marriage becomes a done deal - and is broken rarely and under extreme circumstances...in this regards, she and her parivaar had the hardest deal - imagine the izaat of the girl and family coming out with such a broken engagement/marriage declaration. And as you said, Arjun nor DK hardly did justice to her on the Deshmukhs. Besides, when marriages that are fixed, breaks, ppl do many things to prevent in from breaking - you know how it becomes a matter o fizzat...yup, she went ahead and made the deal. Really what of it, No one was really force to accept it. Purvi did it under her own accord and so did Arjun.
As for considering Arjun's feeling for paying the check - well, why could she, for then she could acknowledge that Arjun loved Purvi (which she never did - for if she accepted it, don't you think that even if Arjun wanted that second chance - she could have walked out). To me, she never thought that Arjun loved Purvi, it was rather an infatuation or a fasination or something, but never really a love that Arjun had for Purvi- she always claimed Arjun is mine, People call in obsessive or whatever- but in my world, I call it confidence and going after what I think is mine (which someone told me to do again today in real life) - so seriously, this is what I think...

Kalapi I do agree with you. Ovi has been wronged most out of the three, even though Purvi cries the most and whimpers and people feel sorry for her, it is Ovi who has been dealt the wrong cards by Purvi.

I absolutely am on the same page as you about when a rishta is made, it is considered absolute done deal. this is the reet even today and no one can deny it. Breaking off engagements is not encouraged or looked upon lightly even now. which is why, my heart did go out to Ovi when Arjun unceremoniously broke it off with her without any prior notice and announced how he loved Purvi. This, even though I was all for ARVI at that time. I felt bad, but let it slide, like many others who thought fine, this is fate and he was meant to fall in love with another girl ( total hogwash now I agree 😳). But, I could never digest that he chose to discard Ovi so easily, and without any sympathy except a few harsh word of dealing with " it'. I was appalled. If a man did that to me, best friend or childhood sweetheart, I would have whacked him hard on the face and left him for good, knowing he deserved muck and not me. But poor Ovi was so blinded by love, she thought that by re-assuring herself that he loved her, she could get him back.

the families were as pathetic when it came to breaking off engagement. Manav had a temporary wrath and Savita took up for her poti, but rest all did not seem to care if it was Purvi instead of Ovi suddenly. Dk's attitude was as lame as his own son. Purvi ho ya Ovi, kya farak padta hai, Archana ki parchaayi ghar aa rahi hai, bas. :P 😆

Now what Purvi and Arjun did we both know. I loved yours and hillys post on KC about how Ovi struck a raw clear deal, but Purvi dealt with her falsely by hiding the pre-marital sex part and later month after she hid the pregnancy. so yes, all counts and hands point towards this great duo.

Why I think Ovi was wrong in doing the deal is, simple. Deal however done, is not kosher in my eyes. There are ways to win people over ( with love and understanding as she is doing right now with Arjun) and then there are underhand ways which is like " don't look at the road, just aim at the destination". Also, she was delusional, but not like she could not gauge that he did not love her indeed. He had left her high and dry and this was simply a desperate attempt to win him over. She traded her father's happiness ( even though ti seems like she knew it was for his good). Her attitude about the whole thing was wrong in my eyes. At that time I was furious with her and that was another point to dislike in her. ( Thankfully, I am objective enough to now see how weak ARVI was and see Ovi for what she is :P )

I would have liked Ovi to have slapped Arjun-Purvi publicly and walked away with her head held high and self-esteem intact. Going after what you want is great, but there is always a right way to do it too. It doesn't matter if Arjun-Purvi's love was so weak they caved in, what matters is that Ovi thought she could deal relationships.

I feel like for the betterment of their relationship, both should apologize and start a new chapter of their life, where all past deeds are forgiven and forgotten and this will give her a clean slate even for him, and also for this forum. 😉

I do not think Ovi owes any apology to anybody else, and not for anything else.

My point of view!

Same here. The result of that one deal is what we are witnessing today. Now she is the best thing happening in PR.
