Jyothi (JD) what a heartfelt, heart stirring post you have written!!👏I can connect with your every line on the once kahdoos, gentle, confident, strong and ardent lover AK!! RD really brought this character 'Arjun' to life with his excellent acting!! When I first saw him in PR I just couldn't take my eyes away!! RD as Arjun was initially such a captivating and appealing character that its a crying shame to see what he has been reduced to in PR!!😒Why the CVs have relegated such a character and such talent to being a 'spot boy' in the show- is totally beyond me!! It is only fools who have treasure in their hands and simply throw it away!! The Arjun now in PR is but a ghost of the Arjun who started out in the show!! His character has been butchered almost to the point of no return from the day the CVs made the horrible mistsake of getting him married to Ovi !! This character was such a breath of fresh and modern air to the show BUT alas, look how far he has fallen in stature!!Nevertheless- RD is such a brillint actor that he continues to do justice to the 'spot roles' that his chaarcter 'Arjun' has being given of late!! The fact is- you can try to keep a good, talented man down BUT you can't deprive him of what he already has- his goodness and his talents!! Despite all of this, Arjun is still my favourite character in PR and that is only because it is RD who has given Arjun reel life!!

Very well said, Kools...yes, I would like to see that Arjun come back too, for any reason they can come up with.it always surprised me why they never showed him angry at Purvi, which would have been consistent with his character as he was a fighter always, not the one to give up. When he married Ovi, he comes back to Purvi saying, 'watch what's going to happen'.. We thought he would fight back, but nothing happened and then started wimping out his character much to my amazement. Then started his downfall and is continuing to this day. Dont know why the writers did it and for what reason. He is not even a shadow of what he used to be. I do hope they bring him back, for the actor would do great justice to it and make PR more interesting and not so one-sided and women-centric. For me he is the most real character of PR.

And yes for some reason in indian films and soaps, kids grown up outside of India are always shown negative or on the losing side compared to the ones that grew up in India.. They prob need to catch on to the fact that most kids growing up outside do have their values, ethics and culture intact and have a definite sense of right and wrong and are individualistic and responsible. They do not have to be generalized as how they are shown. They do have good and bad qualities individually like kids in india too..Dont know when this will change, annoys me whnever they are shown in bad light without a reason and without justification, just not in PR, but everywhere. This is one of my fav gripes 😊

I wrote my take for 2 reasons ...someone asked me to and it is a last attempt for CVs to read us if they visit the forum as if they don't show a custody battle or an angry Arjun having a different POV now , he has been lost as a character forever . We might as well prepare for it . They will show him forever as looking at Purvi with wonder struck eyes at her atrocious tyaags . PR will be one such saga of nonsensical destructive tyaags and men looking on with worshipping eyes . That is what is being planned anyways ...the truth that it's Purvi's baby coming out inadvertently and Arjun loving the mother of his baby even more and weeping at her tyaag ...they have absolutely no intention of giving him any independent POV . If that happens Arjun Kirloskar as we once saw is lost forever .

Zoya still believes in Arjun..
Accoding to her,Arjun would have died the minute Purvi went away from him,its not possible to make love to Ovi at that time for him..Zoya is naive and new to Ekta world and so she doesn't know what all Ekta can do..

In a beautifully written lyrical piece this line
but he sweats first and bleeds next in the venture of love testis my favorite ...I did a double take ...one which is classic RD from his repertoire of expressions...when he arrived at the Mumbai airport. That is the day he really arrived for me. I doubled back to check out this character that was Arjun, from it's inception. There was not a moment that I thought he was arrogant or rude. If he expected the best from his sub-ordinates, he expected even more from himself. The love and respect he afforded to all his family and friends was unpretentious. He never had any hidden agendas and wore his admiration...then love...as soon as he realized...on his sleeveThe subtle moments caught my attention more:When he wanted to buy his mom's paintingWhen he did not want to discuss his mom with PurviWhen he was mesmerized by the raindropWhen he tugged at Purvi's dupatta at the escalatorWhen he looked on with such pride as Purvi and DK chattedWhen.....you get the drift...And then he was not able to get through to Ovi. Could not tell her about Purvi. That ...was the beginning of the end for our beloved Arjun. He was resurrected for a bit until the night we all wiped the floor ( driveway, in this case ) with him, on the ill- fated night of the wedding. Our favorite character, which used to be a strong author-backed role, was left, out cold. But, even as recent as today, the enduring strength and underlying consistency of this character is unmatched. The abject pain stemming from confusion as to why Purvi will not talk to him; the heartbreak of letting Purvi go, willingly, yet again are vintage Arjun/ RD ...since it is almost impossible to separate the two.Arjun, we had, have, and will always have your back..till such a time that your creators will resurrect you...And even beyond that.
