Varsha I think a little different than you here ..Archana did support the chawl people and she also won the case ..She did not hide anything from manav ...betrayal of trust is when you are hiding somethign ...Manav knew all along what Archana was doing ..Archana wanted to support the Chawl people and she was on their side ..

Archana's giving of Soham o nthe birthday was not betrayal of trust .It was a damn foolish thing to do as Varsha was acting to be cured and Archaan as a mother should have been more careful ..

I think Archana was punished more than enough for both the mistakes ..

What Purvi is doing here is rather crafty and not exactly honest and open .,.She is doing things all by her own and telling different stories to her mother ...

from watching 3+ years of PR and 30+ years of PR storyline...i am having very low hopes that someone will say purvi is wrong...

first punni/manju/ovi will get slaps for saying it is arjun's kid that purvi is carrying...but later everyone will know the truth but noone will say purvi is wrong neither arjun is wrong...archu/manav/sulo will say purvi did maha tyag for sacrificing her life for archu's happiness and ovi's happiness...

have a nice weekend and happy makar sankranthri to everyone...

It always happens that way ...the daughter goes one step before the mother as with the changed generation the values change too . So if mother comes to nearly having a divorce , daughter actually has one .If father has stopped at robbing someone , son does not hesitate to commit murder .

All i will say is Purvi is same like Punni ...Punni is upfront about her love for the good life Purvi is not upfront about her goals . Both believe in pre marital sex . So i don't understand who Purvi was to pass judgements on Punni and 'control' her .

Neither do i believe that any parent should egoistically preen about his or her upbringing ...children r their own individuals and craft their own destiny . Parents realise their ego was mithya, when the shocks start hitting them one by one . Its oh how could she do this ..i never taught her this , i didn't raise her this way ...when they finally realise that the kid is a seperate individual it is too late .

In this sense PR shows realism . Sons change after marraige and humiliate mothers ...mother daughter bond is stronger than mother son bond , motherless sons r easy to manipulate and sanskaars often fail and individuality supercedes . So true .

Varsha i agree with u ...Archana 's sanskaars were so manipulative and convenient that Purvi learnt fast and went one step ahead of her role model . She literally grabbed them and used them to her advantage . The worst punishment is to Archana ...she doesn't know how Purvi lies to her , manipulates her , doesn't waste time arguing with her but tells her after doing exactly what she wants to do ...the nose ring has turned heavier than the nose .

We can instill as much sanskars and what is right from wrong that we can...But at one point external influences, their own experiences and rest does have an impact..They will make their own mistakes and realize later on...Hopefully learn from them...We did not learn anything by our parent's mistakes although they shared them with us and warned us...

Meanwhile looking at kids mistakes parents try to see their faults or take the blame by saying we never taught you this or how could you do this to us? Did we fail as a parent? Sometimes parents do fail when they have not done their best and most of the time they have but the child decides to go ahead and do what ever..Never go around tooting your own horns unneccessarily abt the child that he or she can do no wrong...My child has the best foundation..

Sulochana fed this false ego in Archana and it got feded down to Purvi..Look at all Sulo's children has turned out to be not so perfect as a matter of fact some worse than the others..By putting Archana on pedestal she hurt her own other daughter Varsha labled her the blacksheep of the family, Vaishu being educated ended with a bigomist...Only person who is halfway decent is Vinod..Sulo has diff rules one for Daughter Archu and other for Manju and rest...

Savita being called evil, crass and a fighting cock but her kids turned out to be better than Sulo-manohar's..Savita has not shown differences between her daughter and DIL IMHO..

Maybe, her act started very young and she just got better. For which young hanssome successful gynec falls for a preggo woman out of wedlock. Most men will get totally different idea. Why can't Ekta for once show a reality that an unwed mom faces all alone? Where could she have landed, if not for Onir. Could she be standing in front of Durga Ma the epitome of Pativrata and virtue. Who could have given her a job. Most Indian private firm could refuse her a job on the basis of her pregnancy. How could she have supported through pregnancy, into delivery and after. Where could she have kept her baby to even find a job in the first place? When we romanticize about premarital sex we forget the reality that a preggo woman faces a lot of discrimination throughout the work (even in the West – lot of discrimination lawsuit because a women didn't get a promotion/project or something due to pregnancy). And all her act will be turned into some tyaag. She will just turn mahan. What makes me mad isn't what the character of Purvi has been made to, but that she gets away with murder, and every damn thing is blamed squarely on Ovi, as if she is responsible for all the mess. My God, did Ovi tell her that she likes used products, so she could sleep with Arjun and pass him, as something unwanted? God, Purvi gets away with murder and Ovi is the scapegoat, just like Savita has been for Arman…how onesided and convoluted storyline.
