Zamaana has not changed much. If people step outside PR and see the world and society as it is of today in India, this same notion has not changed at all. My mother had the same take on these things and today I ( being of a newer generation than her) have exactly the same thoughts. This is because India has light years to go before something as inbred as moral values take a 360 degree turn. We pride ourselves over this and scoff at the West for the lack thereof. Hence, justifying this track in PR as true pure love or other nonsense won't work for a majority of the audience that this show aims to target.

Ofcourse all through out people pitied her and she chose to be mahaan and regarded as tyaagi instead of the destructive lady she turned out to be,

That is the grouse that I don;t understand how people on the forum DO NOT have against her. Ruin ovi and ruin Onir, but how dare you ruin two innocent yet unborn lives at stake like this. What of the children who grow up knowing the entire kaand of their parents?

Pari, even in the West there are consequences to premarital sex..if a girl in HS get preggo, her life is ruined as she not only have to take the responsiblility of the child, but most often her education is compromised. I have seen in coworkers who have to support kids and lament about their future. Same true for unwed mom working and single parenting - it isn't easy...cause the responsibility of raise a child isn't easy...most parent teached kids not only about sex but the consequences here - nowhere, it is easy, raising a kid single-handedly - maybe Western Society is a bit more tolerant - but there are other issues here too...

Even Arjun needs a tight slap from sumone . I hope they change DKs characterization .

Kools, when Arjun's father himself is besotted with his samdhan, what will he say about this turn of events. Knowing DK's character so far, he will accept Purvi's children also and Ovi's children also and tell everyone to live under one roof happily ever after. :P

Chipkalunga Mein Fevicol se" LOL.

gaurav but difference was that Shravani fully intended to marry Sachin ...his tragic death forced her to become an unwed mom

she loved him so much that she wanted to bring his part in the world .

she did not give him up in a deal...cruel fate snatched him from her .

Kalapi, I totally agree. I was only talking about the instances of these things happening to be more here in the West. But consequences usually remain the same everywhere. They may not scoff upon you as badly as they do in India, but raising an illegitimate child or being an unwed mother has the same difficulties everywhere. Which is why, I feel that if Onir wouldn't have miraculously dropped into this woman;s life, what the hell was she planning to do after fleeing? Not only putting her family's izzat at stake but also her baby's. How was she exactly planning on raising a child by herself in an unknown city without any support?

I don't know what Ekta has in her mind, but showing leads to be this stupid, irresponsible and pathetic doesn't work for the audience. First it was the insitution of marriage that was disrespected on the show, now it is the concept of children that is given this pathetic treatment. Incestuous relationship, immoral leads and unwed pregnancy. Everything spells pavitra it seems to some part of the forum. :P
