Kools- simply loved your court case scenario and the questions that should be thrown at both Arjun - Purvi about their so called pavitra love that has only caused havoc for everyone's lives. LOL on that question about therapy for Purvi. The masterful liar surely needs to check into a counselor's clinic for these issues. :P
Today's episode was bakwaas. These mahasangam episodes really bug me out. Nothing substantial except interfering by everyone else into everyone else's lives. Joke!
Purvi listening to Arjun-Ovi's convos is so creepy. Why does the woman not mind her own business? Isn't it rude to eavesdrop a conversation no matter who it is? Anyway maybe this is also one of her many virtues in disguises as touted by many.
Kools and Kalapi loved the posts on kanyadaan on another thread! So much meaning attached to these beautiful customs and rituals, I loved reading about how different wedding rituals are depending on what part you are from. Was lovely!
It is strange that nobody sympathizes with Ovi. I mean really! Everytime she is upset, all she gets is a bhashan of how mahaan purvi is and how Ovi owes it all to her. Nobody sees the real issue. Arjun is to be completely blamed for this as well as Archana. Both have shoved Purvi down her guilt conscience about everything. I don't see how a normal person would react to Purvi if constantly your husband reminded you about the love he has for your "great" sister and if your entire family looked upon her as an angel who could do no harm. I hope Purvi;s pregnancy is a slap to these crazy D's and esp Arjun and Archana. But as that article says, Arjun will only fall deeper in love with her ( so strange, if he was a real man, he would have simply hated her guts for doing this to him) and Archana will only shed more tears of happiness at how selfless and "tyaagi" her daughter turned out to be. One up on her mother!
Ovi is shown psychotic only to show how bichari Purvi really is. But I don't see Ovi's behavior as unnatural psychotic, I see it is as a consequence of how badly things have turned out for her thanks to Purvi.
Just thinking about it, isn't it selfish of Purvi to force Arjun ( who clearly has no love for Ovi) to marry Ovi ( who is madly obsessively in love with this guy). Wasn't Purvi seeing the outcome of this unwilling alliance? She shows so much love and concern for Ovi in these pregnancy episodes, but where was her concern when pushing Ovi into a loveless marriage? Even at the party when she realized this was not working for 2 people she claims to care so much about, why did she have to make it worse by pushing this into the direction of a baby? Why do people uplift this woman so much when all she has done is made disastrous mistakes causing downturns in other people;s lives while she has the soft end of everything?
Someone mentioned in another thread "What did you expect Purvi to do when she found out about her pregnancy and the non consummation of Arjun-Ovi's marriage. Their argument was, it was already a no-turn position in her life, where she could have been accused of not only having an affair but also being pregnant and wrecking her sister's life. She would have also lost her entire family to this news. Plus, she apparently did the right thing by running away and letting them go on with their lives. That is when I don't understand the hypocrisy. At one point, Purvi is mahaan and oh what a selfless giver. At the other point, it is agreed upon that she left to escape losing her family. Now isn't that selfish behavior? 😆
Fine, even if I buy these arguments that she did the right thing by going away. So why is she back now? what is her deal? Her being back opens the can of worms anyway and more so at a point where 2 innocent lives are at stake!
I loved some points on that argument from kools and sherma - if she was running away, why make it look like she was being so great for Ovi's sake? She ran away to escape humiliation and scandal, but made it look like she was being super mahaan. This is where her "mastermind" like nature comes in. She is no angel.
If pre-marital sex be glided over, pushing both Arjun and Ovi into a loveless marriage that had no future, and now being back to wreck more havoc on the baby, is a worse sin. Love may conquer your control over yourself, but after a whole night of mulling over, she destroyed 4 lives. And now 2 more in the making for desruction. Mahaan, my FOOT.
