My dear Sakhile,

You are more than welcome, and I hope my takes on these matters at least made you laugh a bit.😉 I am somehow not so sure of that, and I would appreciate reassurance on this point!

As for the PR CVs, I think we should be relieved that they do not turn their attention to contemporary literature, or even more to the Indian classics of the last 2 centuries, for they would assuredly reduce them all to the same mindless pap, and that would be a great pity. They do not want to move with anything except a climbing TRP graph, you see.

Nor do they give a hoot for credibility, as one sees in every episode, and that is probably because their target audience, which is NOT you or me, does not either.

The grouse I have against PR is not that it is goofy, but that it is nowadays not at all entertaining.

In fact, the only person in it who entertains me these days is Punni the Python. I am in stitches contemplating the fate that awaits the sleazy Malik (or Mittal, as he is suddenly called of late' I think a departing CV forgot to give his successor the case of characters!) as Punni the Python tightens her coils around him oh so slo,,,owly. 😉

As for Purvi, I agree with you in toto . She of course is busy polishing her halo with Brasso, but why on earth would Savita let her sit there in the hospital corridor, even if Manav did not put his foot down?

PS: Incidentally, of course they teach contemporary lit at college, but Hardy would probably suit these people the best. He must be turning in his grave, at that, poor man!

I hope that colleges these days teach contemporary literature as well as english classics and that reality will actually teach these writers something. The world has changed since the days of Hardy. It would be great if the show can move along with the times.

Ekta may be thriving on her audiences need to escape from reality but that does not make the show any more crediible.

As for Purvi's fainting so that her beaus will get the opportunity to take care of her and pull at our heart strings, she's becoming just too irritating now.

Yes dear you do make me laugh some of the times. I however read your posts not for amusement but rather for the in depth analysis and structured critique. I enjoy the mature discussion of characters and analysis of situations that you give. I like that I can get literary critique on this genre.

i think you have followed this serial for a long time so it is always interesting to be given the updates on the times that we did not watcha nd see how it follows through in the recent episodes.

Yes I do wish that they would turn to indian classical literature for some inspiration. This may spruce up the serial a whole lot. I t should also fire up the imaginations. Sometimes it feels as if this serial is being treated as an experimental theatre workshop where ideas are thrown out any we'll see where the plot goes. No one has a clue whatdirection the storyline should take.

meanwhile her blood Punni who was given sanskaars by her as mom went to office is eloping with an elder man

And dear Varsha , another part of her sanskaari upbringing was a keep of a gunda

And eldest daughter , god knows how many times she divorced her hubby like Liz Taylor and got back with him

er ...the youngest daughter married a bigamist

it is still to be seen if her waaris Purvi had sex just two days before marraige due to uncontrollable hormones and ran away and chupchaap married another man coz she became pregnant

now the only thing that remains isthe unseen Ruchi becoming a ...er ...murderer or something

Sakhile ...Ekta does think the viewersr stupid , she is very complacent with that knowledge .

Oh, I just peeped in the forum and I see that Arvi union is at works. Arjun is again going to develop hots for his ex...not sure when he didn't have any hots 😃, but eh...I guess wife swapping is at works, Jeeju finally marrying the Sauten cum Saali😃

Benevolent Onir is just going to become God and give up Purvi to Arjun...it seems his charity includes marrying preggo girls and giving their illegitimate kids his name

Ovi, I guess will be shown preggo with someone else baby, Romil or whoever😕, so her character is going to be destroyed totally...

I guess we will have the leap then, and post leap, Ovi will be the all time villain scheming to take revenge on Arvi...wow, what a fresh storyline, wait isn't that also for KHTW 😃...

And Teju marries Sunny...wow...

I guess finally I can also walk away from this Ekta story...wow that is what I call freedom😆

Me too😃, pinky promise yaar, I walked out on the other 2 on Sony, and only followed this cause of a few forum friends...

Now, after weeks of crap, I guess Cvs have decided that they need a romantic Pavitra rishta jodi after Ankita exits PR, so, why work and create something unique...just fall for the readymade one on hand. So, today, they are trying to show that Purvi/Onir are not sharing a bed and maybe not married either😕, when clearly they showed them sharing a bed in Kolkata...just a 180 degree turn by them...what a BS crap this storyline yaar😡

How conviniently Onir sleeping seperate on the floor whie the last time we saw them sleeping together on the same bed-sharing same bed in Kolkata..Purvi flirting with him with wet hair, running down the stairs and all..

CVs have temp amnesia but audiance dont

For ArVi fans and keep TRP going EK and her juvenile delinquent CVs will do what ever to bring them together ..

Just like making Savita -Ve on and off as situation arises = Archana makes grave mistakes and they need someone to take a fall

Ovi will be destroyed beyond recognition to Make Purvi shine and reunite her with her lover boy Arjun..

One thing has been bothering me for few days...Sorry Arjun fans..(MOI Included at one time and still love Rithvik trust me)😃

Soham on the kitchen platform , i said it long back . Near the gas cylinder where Archana will maternaly fondle his hair before boiling the morning milk for tea .

Varsha is Onir in D house too . Why dont they all sleep in a row and play antakshari till sleep comes .
