It was implied during that rainy evening before their marriage. Everyone suspected the purpose for showing it was so that later we won't be surprised if Purvi got pregnant. But I am still amazed how she had no shame in dumping Arjun on their wedding day when she already slept with him. Didn't she consider the possibility of being found out and the badnaami that will ensue? And now, only her Bappa knows how she trapped that doctor into being her husband.

Oh! okay.. I think I missed those epis. 😆

but honestly, didnt she consider getting pregnant, the first time she gave up Arjun or the second time, when she didnt get her period?🤪 In all this, Purvi has Onir, Arjun has Ovi and the child has what...? A lifetime of confusion, angst...

She did not need to consider. She KNEW she was pregnant when she gave up arjun the second time. There is a scene before leaving when archana asks her - is there any other reason for you leaving, you are hiding something. She sort of hesitates. I think it implied that she already knew abt the pregnancy. But let not a child's future come in way of the tyaag drama

Some people are better at putting their thoughts across than I am 😊
I meant to say will Ovi EVER be able to trust Arjun? that was the question. I know she's only a teen right now and she's obviously at an important juncture in her life.
But will they ever build a trust together that even purvi won't be able to break down? Purvi is always going to be there.
I was sort of thinking about what it would be like if I was Ovi at that moment, before the door opened so I put myself in her shoes and came to the conclusion that obviously she must have been ecstatic, someone who she loves gave her attention which she craves.
And then the door opened and the poor girl saw Purvi first then Arjun in the background.
Now if I was married (Not saying I'd have bartered a deal though! 😆)
But if I was married and there were absolutely zero complications in my life BUT my husband apparently did have an ex and we were invited for dinner somewhere. If that same thing had happened to me then:
A) I would be in a state of shock
B) I would think logic later and immediately start accusing.
So Ovi needs time to calm down, once she's calmed down they need to sit and discuss where their life is going and what they are going to do with it.
There are many couples who live without love, I know I wouldn't want that because I crave love but because of their decision they will have to live with it and try and pull together to make it work. Also it's not about just trying they have to give into it especially Arjun because I understand that Ovi will eventually accept him in whatever condition.
BUT more than anything I think Ovi needs help, not just because of her confusion but because of everything else aswell. I guess she tried to BUY the attention if she couldn't get it freely.
She saw the attention that Purvi was getting from Arjun so she wanted that, she saw the attention that Purvi was getting from Archana and so she wanted that too. She couldn't BUY Archana but she did with Arjun and that should be saying something to Archana and Manav. If only they had stepped in earlier, Ovi would be in a better place right now WITHOUT Arjun because she would know that she is loved by one and all, that she is loved for her own self and that no one is looking for Purvi in her. Archana, manav and the rest of the family LOVE her for herself but no one explicitly sits her down and says it, like when Ovi said to Archana that everyone is looking for Purvi in me, Archana sat there and looked disturbed! No she should have explained to her daughter in her own motherly way about what place Ovi holds in her heart and that every child occupies a different place but that they all mean the same to her.
I think you are right the family need to do some form of traditions and rituals for Ovi that are centred around her to show her that she is indeed loved, cared for and wanted by her family.
Now that Arjun is married to her and done the deed with her, he needs to do more of the things that she likes, like with the room service scene. She was happy just getting the attention from him, I don't think she even craves love as much as she wants attention. Maybe Arjun needs to realize this as her husband.
It's not all about love now. Love went out of the window when Purvi and Arjun threw it out. Now it's all about the trust and friendship that Arjun and Ovi need to build together.
Purvi is happy so Arjun and Ovi now need to be happy.

In fiction, a foil is a character who contrasts with another character (usually the protagonist) in order to highlight particular qualities of the other character.A foil's complementary role may be emphasized by physical characteristics. A foil usually either differs drastically or is extremely similar but with a key difference setting them apart.
I guess that's how they are showing Purvi and Ovi but they arn't exactly doing a good job of it.
I see grey shades in Purvi, she's become manipulative when before she used to be so good.
Why oh why would she have intercourse then give her toy willingly to her sister?
I mean how awkward would that be? Knowing you've had intercourse/intimacy with your brother in law even if you fall out of love with him eventually, you'll never be able to look him in the eye knowing that you've had intercourse with your sisters husband.
Unless ofcourse it was just a ruse to get arjun back but what then of Ovi and Arjun's intercourse?
I wonder if she ever thought logically of this knowing that two sisters would be having intercourse with the same man.

sorry dear i had to skim thru the posts as i am busy but i kept a few points in mind

Kaliyug ...Defined in hinduism as the dark age or age of sin . We can safely call it the twenty first century .

Blind trust is not a virtue in this century . It sounds wonderful in books and looks wonderful in films but i would not really advise it as this is the age of affairs , divorces and crimes of passion .

I would advise to go in any relationship with open eyes coz blind trust only brings pain .

Look where Archana's blind trust in Purvi's sanskaars got her . Purvi has absconded by becoming pregnant before marraige and Archana thought she could do no wrong and even slapped her niece for this .

Look where Ovi's blind trust in Arjun got her ...the moment he went to a foreign country for a project he had a rollicking affair with someone else . Now many call this 'true love' but i don't as i have other thoughts .

Then Ovi showed blind trust on him when he begged for a second chance inspite of him declaring love for his ex in a party . She believed he meant it ...but she found out something else .

Blind trust on Arjun is foolishness at this stage and i am afraid that if there is going to be no divorce it will be a scarred painful marraige now where Arjun needs to work really hard to make her feel loved and wanted again .

Blind trust by Onir on Purvi is going to be costly for the doctor as she has hidden many crucial things from him. Even that Archana is her mother . That woman gave her her existence and she should have proudly proclaimed to her husband that here is my mother ...but she did not .

Archana claimed to 'love' Manav for seven births but left him after a fifteen day marraige coz she had trust issues . She believed some trick photos and not his word and refused to trust him till she saw evidence and filed for a divorce . She had entered matrimony with open eyes and was shocked to see photos of her husband with prostitutes .

Ovi is her daughter ...she has shown trust in her husband much more than can be said for her mother .

Arjun's blind trust in Purvi got him a dumping and a trading...to him Purvi was his golden girlfriend who could do no wrong .

So u see , Blind trust is not what i would advocate at all .

The jeeju saali quip . 😆 Of course ur entitled to ur quips dear , my entire commentary is made of quips 😆 but here too i would like to say something

Ovi did not buy her jeeju back ...she bought her fiancee back . Now that is super wrong but i want to talk only about the jeeju part .😆 Ovi never ever saw him as a jeeju . she saw him as her fiancee and her Arjun . Er ...it was Purvi who had no qualms getting married to him even after knowing her sister was once engaged to him . She was the one who had no problems marrying a man who would have become her jeeju . She gave it the name of 'divine love' and later traded the jeeju turned fiancee .

Also i believe [ and so do some others with whom i discuss the show and who see it exactly like me ] that an affair is not necessarily just physical . It is also mental when u do everything in ur marrige according to the instructions of ur ex . And Arjun and Purvi did have this mental fling which can drive any wife over the edge .

The roadside shaadi .😆😆😆 Well let us assume for an instance that it is real and that it meant something .

So ...does one give up her husband after marraige , is this allowed in any culture ?

So has Arjun become a bigamist then ? 😆😆 Has Purvi pushed him in bigamy then ? Coz she had no qualms asking him to lie in court for Soham .

Has Purvi given him up after unprotected sex , and a shaadi ?😆 And has she married Onir without a roadside divorce ?

Now for the reality

That stupid roadside shaadi means nothing . It is as inefffective as a rehearsal of a church wedding ...the real thing is only and only the wedding .

In Hinduism , u must marry before god , the sacred fire , a priest and society . Or a court marraige in front of witnesses . The marraige that Arjun had with Ovi was real . He can have any amount of mock marraiges with girls and play marraige marraige with Purvi in his dating days but it means nothing .

I agree that Ovi now needs help but Purvi needs it badly too for she is a pathological liar who goes around like a tyaagi . She lies to Archana , Onir , Arjun ...all , quite unecessarily as if its a compusion . In my opinion she needs treatment .

Thanks for the explanation 😊
In my religion also it's the same. Marriage before god, a priest and society OR a court marriage in front of witnesses.
I agree wholeheartedly with the last sentence. Purvi has become someone that I do not recognise anymore. She needs treatment too for ruining ALOT of lives because in actual fact she WAS the catalyst for this whole situation. Ovi was part of it yes but she HAD given up at the 11th hour meaning that Purvi's path was now clear of any thorns. I don't understand what Purvi hoped to achieve by sending her Aai to a place where she would have been exposed to caustic hatred had it not been for Sachin who eventually admitted the truth after the whole situation with Teju's detective skills
I know for sure if I loved someone and everyone was okay with me marrying him, I would not give up on him at the last moment.
