Jyothi, Abhi,

What it means is that to a crow (Momma Crow, of course) her baby is as if made of gold , i.e. so beautiful and resplendent, despite being as black as she is. An ode to the power of maternal love, in short.

Good going Jyothi for defending our Arjun 😃...yes, i guess the bangles were lost in the kidnapping fiasco...

Me too, was wondering what the Tamil saying meant (absolutely clueless!)
Maybe we can even it up and next time Arjun Purvi meet, Ms. Purvi can be late as she had to go for an interview or something...when is her career track going to restart...I too want her not to sit idle as she has good business acumen, and such talent going to waste- even though jobs in Mumbai seem to be hard to find- i am sure she is qualified enough to do something constructive career wise...I do hope that after all these preparations for the shaadi, Ms. Purvi joins Arjun's new venture as a partner, perhaps the same way that Aashna and DK were when they started off in their younger days...😆

That's true... I find it difficult choosing sides with these two because I see them as one.

Hmmm... which way do I go?

I never saw such a lot for searching out every likely or unlikely reason for doom and gloom!

Vishnu is not going to do anything to Arjun, he makes it quite clear today in that foot of the temple steps scene. I was also glad that he confirmed what I had predicted yesterday, that he would never break the kasam taken on his mayee's head.

I was also correct in thinking that the bail order might have a clause forcing him to stay in Mumbai - now they are ensuring this by making him report daily at the police station. I am so often totally wrong when I try to second guess the CVs that to get TWO things right in a row almost made me faint!

True to my penchant for Vishnu the Bad Guy, I liked the arrogance with which he goes up to the couple to bait Arjun, who, predictably rises to the bait., and almost gets into fisticuffs with Vishnu. Nice going and looks good in front of your girl - Arjun's profile, with the clenched jaw, is a total throwback to Arjun the Boss (complete with the mauve shirt, which looks nicely washed and ironed). But it makes no sense at all in practical terms.

I also liked the sudden menace in Vishnu's face as he asks Arjun about his leg and claims full credit for the shot having inflicted only a glancing wound. So, if we are to believe Vishnu's claims about his being a crack shot, Janhvi was right about its being deliberate. But that also washes out any lingering ideas she or others might have of him being a misled innocent. He has undertaken many successful kidnapping jobs for his baba in the past, and he might have shot any number of innocents in the process without turning a hair.

All in all, I felt that Vishnu came up tops in that snarling match with Arjun. After all, he is a goonda and a street fighter, not a well-bred plutocrat who is not used to these bare-knuckle bouts. However, I am Arjun will soon learn to fight hard, focussing on action and not on pointless bravado.

The softening process for Vishnu has started, with his standing up to his baba, even if only very hesitantly, to protect his mayee. Let us see how fast and how far it goes. If Purvi starts developing the Stockholm Syndrome for him, I shall take a slipper to her - Janhvi, be forewarned. We do not tolerate sentimental fools, and we do not want one such for our boy.

The temple scenes too are getting to be one exactly like the other. Can't the CVs exert themselves a bit to think of at least some new shots? Well, the conversation before they entered the temple was 20% better than their recent efforts, so I suppose one has to be content with that.!

Don't worry, Jyothi the 15 day deadline for so many different tracks does not mean 15 days in real time. Nor need it mean the same duration for each element. Each of the 4 Yugas was supposed to be but an instant in the dream of Lord Vishnu as he lay stretched out in his Ananthashayanam , reclining on the great serpent Adisesha in mid-ocean. Similarly, 15 days in the dreams of Ekta Kapoor or her CVs could mean another yuga of Archana's travails, with our kids in tow. God save us all!!

Shyamala

Shyamala Aunty,

I like your spunk. Even though he's true villain (kidnapper, thug etc) his audacity is interesting.

He's unapologetic, brash and cocky which makes one pay attention to him.

While his endearment to his mayee may allow us to see him as more of a rapscallion that a true threat we need to keep in mind that he did not hesitate to shoot Arjun twice without remorse or affliction.

I am intrigued to see how they will covert this sinner into a saint.

Why, Laurie, how can you even ask? Just like that, and I am now clicking my fingers! One minute, blackguard, the next, a reformed sinner a la Valmiki, if the PR CVs are aware of who Valmiki was, that is.

How many episodes do you think it will take to convert Vishnu to 'a reformed sinner a la Valmiki' (loved that by the way)...

I say 10 days 🤣

That seems to be the going rate today 🤣

Ah, my beautiful tirade against your ladla, Arch, is gone, vanished into thin air - drat this phone!

Arch/Jyothi/Abhi, my ladli needs only one sasuma not all the mausis turning against her as well! Actions speak louder than words and the girl has done enough, the jail scene, the tender hospital scene, the asking her Aai to bring him home, her general stepping out of bounds of her comfort zone, doing his dishes, cooking, feeding the guy, surely you don't expect much more?? Leave the poor girl alone, please. And as Shyamala points out in Indian weddings, it is the guy that does all the promising. My ladli is shy, demure and oh so sanskari, all qualities that made your ladla fall for her hook, line and sinker.. You don't want her changing, do you?
And for that matter, what is this habit of Arjun's, making my beti wait for him at every turn? You guys need to teach him the value of punctuality, he cannot be late to every tete a tete with his lady and mere apologies won't cut it either sans flowers, sans candy, sans some pretty earrings as appropriate expressions of contriteness.

Shyamala, you are poking fun at my rightful indignation at Vishnu? No, I was not getting upset wih him about the kidnapping but at the thought that he wanted to ruin my beti's engagement. He will not harm my ladli, yes, his promise to his maayi is like a kavach that protects Purvi. Sentimental she might be, maudlin never so please don't decry her "humare apna sa lag raha tha" dialogue with her Aai, she has sixth sense along with her sanskars, an unexpected boon for Arjun and all his mausis, you couldn't ask for more!! :)

Aside: Shyamala, there was a pundit present, no slokas but definitely a pundit. Good for Archana, done like a proper engagement should be done, warm, personal with family and well washers. I liked the shoulder shoving, at least it was different (a little irreverent on Arjun's part, he is usually more doting lover) than the other interludes between them which end with them turning mushy and anxious as to their future.

Hullo my dear Sambandh...sorry for my lateness...have just read this post...**sighs** another tirade against my ladla??? Jhanvi, Jhanvi, Jhanvi...tsk tsk tsk...but I guess there is nothing more to be said as his mausis have pretty roundly addressed this I see...and also...it is your girl who is in the hotseat now!!! After today's episode!!!!
As her Sasuma...I would like to know how in the hell she can possibly defend the guy who shot my beta????? 😡😡...I will tell you that I was heartened to see her finally starting to display the same love/affection for him in the scenes you described...as opposed to the cold frigidity...and was starting to soften quite a bit towards her and enjoy the evolution of their relationship. However, what I have read of her defending the kidnapper in today's episode is so unacceptable I am at a loss for words. He ended up getting shot because he went to rescue her for God's sake!!! Also, does she also remember that this same kidnapper held her in a chokehold while keeping a gun trained on her beloved baba???? Laurie I appreciate the fact that you yourself are angry at your errant child...and Jhanvi I am sure you will agree...after all the heat my beta took for respecting the feelings of and treading with care for his childhood friend...your ladli is certainly not going to escape getting it for her utterly stupid and misguided sympathy for a katharnak kidnapper, capable of extreme violence, that she barely knows!!!!!

And on top of that, didnt Ms.Purvi also hear the same "good guy" assure Arjun at the temple steps that he just shot him on his legs as per planned else he could have easily put a bullet through his heart !!! She is sympathizing with that guy ??? Who openly says he could have killed Arjun easily???? 😡.Just the fact that he shot at Arjun should have been enough for her to hate him for life...And yesterday's mtg should have cemented it, instead, she is all set to tie a rakhi on his hand ???

I managed to watch the whole episode in 10 mts or less. Such a crappy episode. Just forwarded most of manju-Archana scenes..caught only a few words..This is one of those episodes that doesnt deserve watching on TV.
I tell you, you just feel like shaking Purvi to get her out of that crazy stupor she is in. Where was she yesterday? or rather, where is she now? Is this the same person who was cowering behind Arjun when Vishnu was talking to her? Is she the same one whom Arjun brought home all concerned? She does a complete 180 deg turn and says once Vishnu assured her, she wasnt scared of him anymore !! Really !!!! My Goodness... She goes into this monologue of how he gave her food, made sure she ate, how nice he was to her... Didnt she hear him say that he could have shot arjun in his heart easily? Does she have temporary amnesia?
Wish I had the emoticon for throwing up !!
Pruvi rightly deserves Shyamla to take out her slipper !! By God, I tell you, Arch, you have to see it to believe it.
Arjun was definitely the AK today. cool, calm and collected. He went to manav to invite him to the wedding, says how he was always his hero, was with him in good and bad.. But Manav denies the invitation. Arjun gives all reasons why he should be there..For Purvi's happiness, he says. In the end, I liked the way he coolly says OK, and walks away, saying if he can come, that will be good. Nicely done, Arjun Kirloskar. No sirrring too much, no subservience, no emotional meltdowns..
Archana has gone bonkers like her darling daughter today. Why invite trouble, isnt what she has on her plate enough? Sulochana rightly said "Tu mahaan haain, main naheen..."..but, still the call goes thru, the usual drama happens, apparently punni's engagement is broken. in the end, punni tai says to herself that she will not let purvi happy and see how this wedding happens or something like that..
