Hmmm...big confusion till Monday...it seems to be Ovi got kidnapped...

Yet here I am - AT WORK no less, and I just watched the ArVi scene again and I'm reading these comments. Shame on me!!!

Anyway...

Ms. Shyamala,

I could not stop laughing over your last post about Arjun!!!! I know... He really needs to stop "Sirring", we ALL want the real AK back!!!

But Ms. Shyamala... u have to admit their scene today was special. RD and Asha got great facial expressions and body language... and now, their tone of voice as well is incredible, it speaks across the universe. As u know, i dont know much Hindi... but the tone alone that they use can speak for them - its universal ☺️.

Just wanted you to know your post gave me a good laugh and all your views I look forward to.

I know..I am shooting in the dark now...i am just trying to make some sense into this and trying to think of all the different alternatives..Because, knowing these people, it is not going to be a straightforward thing...there is going to be some wierd logic to it all..
Let us see how far DK gets with his good intentions too..They may not let him do this also.
And, dont be upset with our Arjun.. He is a boy in love..will do a lot of foolish things.. he just wants to get Purvi at all costs, and does not want to upset the apple cart..so to say... you know, facing Archana and seeing how she is in multiple scenes has spooked him for good. He is wary of doing or saying anything that will trigger another reaction from her.
DK, rightfully, as a parent is frustrated and wants it to end...

I am getting pretty tired of Arjun's quibbling with DK and his absurd scruples and his stated intention of hanging around the garage for 2 months more. I am also tired of his kholi and his frightful shirts, and his sirring and his obsequiousness towards all and sundry. If I could get hold of him, I would give him the hiding of his life. No wonder DK has reached the end of his tether. He must be wondering how he got this quixotic fool for a son.

Well, my dear, if you want to know exactly what was said in that scene, here goes.

Arjun asks her what she has to say for herself now, as he has broken the handi and made what she said was impossible possible. Purvi teases him, saying that it was her baba who had broken the handi, and if he had not saved Arjun from falling, he would surely have broken at least a bone or two ( I would like to add here that I rewatched the top of the pyramid scene once more, moving it frame by frame, and it was Manav who started falling backwards, when his left hand also came away from the handi, but never mind. The CVs now want it to be Manav as Arjun's saviour, and that is ok too, just as it was nice of him when he offered to get Arjun out on bail by contacting the DCP he knows).

Arjun responds that this too would have been fine with him, as he could have lain in a hospital bed while she brought him special meals. Purvi's face starts drooping and she will not look up despite his coaxing her and saying sorry for upsetting her. When he repeatedly asks her what was wrong, she hesitantly voices her deep fear, at the moment when she thought he was going to fall, that something bad would happen to him.

He tries to cheer her up, and says that her coming into his life was the happiest thing that ever happened to him. Now, he could not stay away from her even for an instant - here she looks up at him, her eyes lit up with happiness and pride. His dream now was to spend the rest of his life with her.

Here is when Purvi, her face alight with mischief, asks him that portentous question: What if someone were to try to carry me off under your very eyes? Who would do that? he retorts, adding, with an attempt at reassurance that is not quite convincing, that if anyone made such an attempt, that would be his last.

Why, he continues, what about someone else, even if you, Ms.Purvi Deshmukh, wanted to go away from me, you would not be allowed to do so. Purvi raises her brows in mock exasperation and questioning. Because, he asserts, Arjun Kirloskar is now after you, haath dhoke ( with all the force at his command). Purvi is delighted, and it shows in her eyes.

She pleads with him to let her go, as he is holding her very close, and she is afraid someone might see them, and she has also to go to the Krishna temple for the aarti. No one is holding you back, he teases her, but I need a reward for all the hard work I put in that made it possible for me to break the dahi handi. He points to his cheek, obviously asking for a kiss. She tricks him, asking for her hands to be freed first, and when he lets them go, she pats his cheek and runs away.
