Golly i finally come on the forum to write a couple of comments and hardly anyone is here, and no one has said anything either since yesterday... 😆 😆 maybe re-watching the proposal and all. 😉
I just wanted to make a few comments
1) About Sulo: I was surprised that everyone was surprised. 😲 😆 Sulo has consistently been one of my most favorite characters. I expected her to understand Purvi although i guess i didn't know such strong support would come right away...it was very sweet..and while, as someone said, archana should have been the same, how could she? Archana was/is caught between a rock and a hard place..Arjun hurt both daughters...so she can't really take sides. I think her challenge to Arjun was correct. Was he playing with the girls hearts and a game, or is he serious and sincere. I felt it was right on. I think i would do the same. Sulo on the other hand, has loved Purvi in a way she never got to with Ovi, and she helped raise her. she heard finally and saw the tenderness and genuineness in Purvi's heart about Arjun. She told Purvi she was wrong to hide it but not wrong to feel it. Archana was rightfully hurt that Purvi never told her...(altho..her physical slap/reaction was very wrong..) Like someone said, grandmas are softer and more laid back with their grandbabies ... it's true...
2) Everyone blames Ovi for being obsessed with Arjun, and while one can look back and say "Manav etc. should have noticed", hindsight is always better. Ovi was always open about her infatuation, and Arjun was always clear they were just friends. But i remember Manav looking surprised and even concerned when it came to actual marriage. It was DK who was arranging even back then. (like a business merger hhh). But it was Savita who constantly taught Ovi tricks etc. to snag him. And, Arjun, just a business man then and knowing nothing of love, felt it was like a business deal too. Two close families, ok..so i'll do it. It was only when love was awakened in the young man that re-ignited the love in DK's heart for Aashna...and he remembered business and love are different. Savita's encouraging Ovi to trap Arjun is consistent with her personality...All i am saying is that Ovi shouldn't be blamed entirely..what did she know of love either? My heart goes out to her. I think she's a good girl who will fold and melt when Archana finally gets a chance to love her in person. Arjun's point that he has known her since childhood so he will convince her, may be true, but ammm Arjun, couldn't you have thought about that at the engagement party time? You were just too confused to think straight. Love does that. 😉
3) @ Tanya...i am really sorry to hear you are so down about PR now and i do understand that the physical abuse Manav expressed was so awful to see. So many times i want to give up on this show. But right now i am encouraged. I am a little confused about a couple of things you said regarding the girls. I think, kind of opposite of what you are feeling, that Archana is being a good mother to Tej and Ovi and i think she loves them very much. Think about it Tanya. She was blocked from mothering them in person for 18 years. Of course her daily interaction with them now will be awkward. Especially knowing they were taught to hate her.. I think she is showing remarkable resourcefulness and resilience in being right there and mothering incognito. And the girls are picking it up. Teju especially. I just loved the Tej/Archana scenes..They were my favorite of this show. Archana's love for Ovi didn't go unnoticed by either Ovi or Sachu. You can't really mother from a distance..so daily interaction will prove her love for them. I don't think she's thinking a lot about Sachin and Shravani now..i dont mean she's forgotten it entirely, but right now she's giving her all to loving her daughters...for the first time she's ever been allowed to mother them and state she is their mother. It has given her strength even with SAvita. In fact, her love for her daughters supersedes her love for Manav. What she said to Teju...as a wife I should be angry at him pushing me, but because Ovi is hurting so much i have to see him as Ovi's father who is crushed by his daughter's heartbreak. And then she asks Tej to help Ovi through her grief. Her thoughts are on Ovi only...it's not that she's willing as a wife to forgive Manav's actions, it's because of Ovi's pain. I think tha't's a huge difference and very subtly done and done well by the writers...for a change.
Where i was surprised in the show was that Purvi wasted no time in saying yes. It was a sweet scene and well done also. I am glad as i didn't expect that...and now the show can move forward. Plus Arjun was able to say some good things about always putting others ahead of yourself. Good job Arjun. 👍🏼
Hope y'all are having a good weekend..today i took a 4 hour nap. omg...i must have needed that. 🤣
