There were a lot that you guys have already written, but to me the highlights were:

Arjun: ..because of which I couldn't tell her that I wasn't hers, in fact, I never was hers.

Arjun: .. then why does it feel like Arjun and Purvi are one...

Arjun: I *Love* you. (Aww.. he says it with so much of conviction, I go Awww😆)

Purvi: If we reveal about our relation, then we are going to severe a lot of other relations.

Purvi: We would become our own enemies then.

Purvi: ...never will any Archana adopt a Purvi in future.

Purvi: ..let it be Aaji, if that is what Aai wants, so be it. But Aai, please don't torture yourself because of me.

=====================
And from today's episode, these dialogues seems like going to be etched in my memory for a long time :
Arjun: Uncle main Ovi se pyaar nahin karta, main Purvi se pyaar karta hoon.*Slap*
Manav: Kya Kaha tumne?! Ek baar phir se toh kehna!
Arjun: Uncle main Purvi se pyaar karta hoon, that I Love Purvi. (Every time I hear it, my hear skips a beat 😆,no, he didn't repeat it so many times, I watched it so many times😳😆) *Slap Again*

awww, bee, you are a die hard romantic! I loved all of Arjun's dialogues and Purvi's unconvincing little voice, also the last words to her grandma.

@bold: Exactly!! 🤣
And every time I rewind and re-watch, I start giggling when Manav goes "Kya kaha tumne, ek baar phir se kehna.." and I am like , 'Yes, Arjun, Please 1 more time' .. and then again re-wind and re-watch 😆

I think RD says those dialogues the best - those "I Love You"s, "Main tumse pyaar karta hoon"s. Never have heard anyone say it like he does☺️ 😆

I have watched it umpteen times too. 😆 The first time around, Manav starts the slap even before Arjun is done with his sentence.

Agree, he says it with so much feeling and sincerity, doesn't seem shallow or unreal at all. 😊

Hey Gals, While we are at the dialogues.
I thought one of DK's dialogues was very important in yday's episode.

After Arjun updates DK of all the happenings until now, DK is trying to understand the situation. One of the things he asks Arjun is: "Did Ovi talk to you about it?"

DK understands very correctly that Ovi was obviously present at her own bday party and was a spectator of everything that happened, (when Punni claims Arjun-Purvi are having affair, Ovi slapping Purvi etc etc). then why hasn't Ovi confronted Arjun about it. He doesn't say anything in return when Arjun replies with a "No" to that question, but DK definitely notes Ovi's un-common behavior. Do you think this is foreshadowing of sorts of what to come in future?

Bee, I noticed that question too and DK's look at Ovi today when she tried to stop her baba from asking Arjun the question about loving her. Foreshadowing in terms of her turning negative? That DK will be the first to suspect if anything goes wrong instigated by Ovi in the future?
DK is a great dad to have, very understanding, seemed to take Purvi in stride, told Arjun not to mind her request of not telling anyone chalking it rightly down to her fear. But strangely, there was no nostalgia towards the girl he has loved as a daughter from childhood and one he has wanted to make his bahu, not when Arjun was telling him the story (except for that very perceptive question about Ovi) and nor at Manav's house later.

@bold: yeah, Janhvi, that is what I am hinting at.
Thanks for your analysis on DK from today's episode, will watch it again. I didn't notice his expressions much, was obviously watching the other 2 😉

Janhvi,

DK is a man of very few words ( as is his son, except when he is with his beloved, when he becomes generally very articulate), and he is also, however he might have mellowed of late, a true blue businessman. In business, you cut your losses and move on. That is probably what he is doing wrt Ovi.

Arjun and DK were very good yesterday, both separately and together. You are spot on is saying that DK is a model dad. His overt support for his son is patent, and he assures a slightly nervous Arjun, before they leave for the dinner at the Deshmukhs', that he should not worry as he will 'handle' Manav. Again, when they are seated in the Deshmukhs' place, he places his hand on Arjun's knee and looks at him as if to say, Relax! I will take care of things.

I also liked the aloof way in which he totally ignores Savita's fatuous and ingratiating comments and questions (about shopping in Australia, forsooth!). He is always a class act.

Being a well bred man, DK would never have expected that Manav would slap Arjun. He seemed to have been so taken aback that he had not reacted at all by the time the episode ended. We have to see what he does today.

Manav's slapping Arjun was very unbecoming behaviour and unworthy of him.But then, one has to remember that he is of a very different social origin from DK, Aashana and Arjun. He is Savita's son and, while I do not mean to sound snobbish, he remains a chawl person deep inside, in spite of all the trappings of upper class living that surround him now. So he reacts the way such a man from a chawl would react in the face of a crisis. DK, by contrast, would rate self control and good manners under ANY circumstances as paramount. Not Manav, or Savita or even Archana, as we saw recently.

So, what DK would have wanted to be a quiet conversation, where he could reveal the unpleasant truth, was turned, thanks to Manthara Punni, into a nasty slapfest (thanks for that neat term, Archana!). One wonders if the DK-Manav relationship will survive this blow up. DK is a fair-minded man, he is very close to Manav, and he is very fond of Ovi, but I do not think he will take his son being treated like this without reacting sharply.

I loved the way Arjun almost barked out the last "I love Purvi!" - as many have noted, his declaration gained in emphasis and force with each repetition.

Now I saw some posts yesterday saying that they wanted Arjun to be brave and not nervous when facing Manav. This is nonsense. Here is a 23/24 year old standing in front of a much older man whom he has idolised all his life, and he knows that what he is going to say will hurt Manav a very great deal. How can he NOT be nervous?

Then again, as someone put it so well, courage is not the absence of fear; it is the ability to overcome fear. This is exactly what Arjun does, and he does it very well.

The brief teleconversation between Arjun and Purvi was very warm and concerned from his side (he said all the things I had criticised him for not saying the day before over the phone), and from hers, desperately trying to get him to convince Archana that she, Purvi, had not done anything wrong. If he could have got her location out of her, he would have ditched DK and gone to her without any delay.

But she cuts him off, and when she says she is going home, it is a lie. She seems to have been wandering the streets for hours in that same wet dress in the rain scene. It is not at all clear how much time has elapsed since Purvi left the house, but Sulochana does not seem very concerned about it either, so perhaps it was only 2-3 hours.

One's heart goes out to poor, desperate, lost Purvi, who will not let the only person who really cares for her help her out, while all she wants, with an obsession that is scary, is to get back into Archana's good books.

But she is NOT going to attempt suicide; how can anyone who has watched her all these months even contemplate such a thing? Nor will she leave town. How can she, with no clothes or money, and with no idea where to go or what to do? She is a sensible, responsible girl, and the Shiva temple that you suggested seems to me to be the best bet (unless the CVs, in their infinite wisdom, try something filmy).

Moreover, Arjun is sure to go looking for Purvi after the slapfest, and when he finds out from Sulochana that she is not to be found, he is likely to think of the same temple, as they both visited it twice, once separately and once together. If this is what happens, I do hope she reacts sensibly when she is told about the latest developments, and does not revert to lecturing him and turning a cold shoulder, and trying to push him back to Ovi Ma'am.

Teju shows remarkable good sense in her heart to heart with Ovi, though she is totally unable to drive any sense into that otherwise empty head.I was pleased that she though she talks vehemently of not caring a hoot for Purvi, she also refers to Arjun being 'involved' with Purvi, not of an 'affair'. A small point, maybe, but to me it is significant, both in terms of her innate liking for Purvi, as also of her good breeding.

The Razzie for idiocy should go to Sulochana, for very foolishly telling Vinod that Archana had learnt the truth about the 'relationship' between Arjun and Purvi. I could not fathom such crass stupidity, but there it was. Punni is lightning fast at grabbing this opening and making the most of it. You have to hand it to the girl, she is always on the ball, never missing any opportunity to do evil unto others, and has a never say die spirit to boot. If Ovi brushes her off, why, Manav kaka will do just fine!

I am not touching on the side issue of Archana saying, with a stupidity that proved, if proof was at all needed, that she is indeed Sulochana's daughter, "Mujhe sab pata tha" to Manav, without specifying that she has found this out just now. He cannot be blamed for reacting very negatively. One can safely predict what is to follow for Archana amidst the Deshmukh clan in full force. She deserves it for what she did to Purvi the day before.

Dear Shyamala and Janhvi and Bee,

Well said of DK- how he is a man of few words, and those who speak less make an even greater impact when they do talk, and how apt for a business man like him- to cut his losses, loved that Shyamala. Yes, i also liked DK's classy reassurances- silent but strong- whether it was the I'll handle it or the hand reassurance in the Deshmuck home.
Sad, but true, that Manav is after all a chawl person and behaves like one- whether with Arjun and as we have seen in the precap with Archana. I can understand that Manav ke sir par khoon savaar hai - coz - ms. Punni (superb name to her Shyamala- MANTHARA suits her well, very well 👏) had to tell him - aren't you worried about OVI- that realization i think - and the guilt that he is not worried for Ovi- combined- made him so angry, that he forgot who he was dealing with and how and his basic instincts came forth in the slapping...
Loved Loved RD...and Arjun was too good.
Tej- how perceptive of her and how she was trying so hard to prevent too much heart break for Ovi and talk some sense into her...but alas! to no avail...but how does she know...was it at the party (with all its revelations and drama) that Tej's conviction was affirmed that Arjun does not love Ovi?
As i watched Sulochana telling Vinod- i was saying to her- how stupid of you and how could you do this...are you crazy...!!!
Yes, i do agree Purvi is sensible and responsible...and in a terrible state...but i don't think she is going home...not yet at least...I vote for the Shiv Mandir and don't know if it will be Arjun who goes to find her or the entry of Soham...but if it is our braveheart Arjun...then i hope we get some magical ARVIlicious scenes...😳😃😉
