My dear Jyoti,

No she wouldn't throw Ovi or Teju out no matter what they had done; and in any case she is not going to get any opportunity to even think of any such things. As it is, they do not care a hoot what she thinks.

I agree with the text in red..Arjun is like that... he understands Purvi's anguish very well..and can be very patient and understanding of what she is going through.. and takes it in his stride..as u say..she definitely needs some one like him...else she will rough ride the other person..as she is a strong personality too...

Would Archana throw her real daughters out in the rain or this treatment just for Purvi? I wonder..

Shyamala. my heart's a dancing 🥳so I will not even make the pretense of taking umbrage that the only reason I don't support my damaad (that is an aboutface 😉if any from wimp to damaad - full circle🤣) is because I don't want to be a turncoat! Ha!😆

I loved your post more than any other you have written in the past as I totally agreed with every word you have said, well almost every word😃!
I felt that Archana's undue emphasis on how Manav would feel and how she would face Ovi, without a solitary thought to the girl she had raised, was totally out of character (I am being kind here).
Purvi had to say those things to Arjun about Tej and Ovi and her Aai Baba, she is conflicted, poor girl, and Arjun takes it in his stride,👏 does not believe her bak bak for an instant! Bodes well for their future relationship!.
The dialogues were lifted straight out of the ARVI lioious posts here - Arjun is not going to brook her being a bhagwan and neither is he going to become one! Hurrah for common sense!! I would have liked him to have admitted his error in judgement at least in passing instead of being happy that things had come out this way (wimp! There, had to say it one more time in case I never get the chance to call him that and faltu ever again😆).
Ovi was pitiful, stopping her dad from asking Arjun if he loved her, why would she not want to confirm that? She is pathetic in her clinginess.
Archana looked gorgeous, loved her sari and her facial expressions were awesome (apart from the shrieking you mentioned) but I did not like her turning her daughter out into the night in the pouring rain. I liked Sulo's whole demeanor except for when Purvi walked out, I would have liked her to glance at least at the departing girl, a torn look, caught between her ever sobbing daughter and her grand daughter who was being thrown to the elements.
Other than that, will not complain much, as Arjun was a rockstar😍 in finally admitting to Manav that he does not love Ovi.
Poor Ovi, yes, and poor Archana with her eternal woes which will escalate due to this latest development. Savita will have a heyday berating Archana and her sanskars, Sachin will rub salt into Archana Aai's wounds, Tej will doubt her parvarish, and Ovi will hate her with a petulant passion!!
As for Manav, he blows with the wind, hither and thither, with his mom's words and son's words so I will withhold judgement on the poor man though he did show signs of steel and paternal sternness when he asked Arjun that question in the precap.
All in all a 👍🏼 episode! 👏

My dear Ashu,

Thanks ever so much for such kind words, and your appreciation. I enjoyed writing it too.

Today promises to be very interesting, above all because we have to find out where Purvi has gone. There is no Arjun to locate her and take care of her, as he did the night of the Vinay engagement fiasco.

PR apart, the humid weather will bring on all sorts of insects, including cockroaches big and small. You had mentioned that in a post when you were moving house. If there is any pest control firm in your city that uses herbal pesticides and biocontrol methods, do try them out. Godrej had a pest control firm in their group, and their herbal pesticide against cockroaches and even spiders worked wonders for us. Since November last, the increasing small cockroach infestation in our 8th floor flat has completely disappeared, which is really a great blessing.

I liked the colours u used for it

Abt Manav asking the qts...
I m sure he is asking on basis of trust on Arjun & Purvi

He will not have accepted the ans which Arjun gave in precap.. He was expecting that Arjun will say he will love ovi.. That's what I felt

I will reply in details on others.. Bit busy now.. Here climate is very humid today :(

Dear aishu_25

Thanks a million for your very warm words. I am glad you enjoyed my triptych, length and all. I enjoyed writing it too.

Yes, it is so good to see the old Arjun back in action. This evening promises to be especially interesting, what with Arjun coming clean, and Purvi having left home for one knows not where.

I was just so happy to see today's epi!!! Arjun, the hero, standing up for Purvi!! so delightful to watch.. I espllly loved the part where he says, she could be mahaan and do whatever and he isn't and he is going to tell everyone abt their love...👏 Bravo, the old Arjun is back.

I was shocked to hear a sharp " I don't love Ovi" from him!!!😲 but I think would get him slaps from Manav..

My dear Archana,

You cannot even begin to imagine WHAT a relief this second post of yours is! I was just getting set to rebut your arguments cutting some slack to Archana in your first post when I saw this and stopped in my tracks. So you have actually escaped having to go thru a longish near-tirade from me, which is a blessing for you!

This said, you might still like to see my response to Janhvi above, which is largely about Archana, as also mine in the thread about Arjun's psyche; I saw your response there.

Jokes apart, I too felt sick to the pit of my stomach watching that horrible scene. I do not know why the CVs rejoice in such scenes, and why a large part of the audience thinks of this as good acting.

Shyamala I just watched the episode for myself. I take back everything I posted in response to your post earlier. I defended Archana based on the written update. After seeing with my own 2 eyes I am going to say that I eat my words. You were 100% correct. What Archana did today was ugly and ridiculous. It lt such a bad taste in my mouth and made me so sick to my stomach that for the first time, on this forum, I can see that I am well and truly ENRAGED...

I'm analytical by nature...but this triggered an emotional reaction from me the like of which is truly rare. For further reading on my views please see the thread "what is wrong with Archana". My opinion is there for all to see.

Awesome post as always what a wonderful analysis. Reading your post is not only satisfying but also educational. It makes me want to go and look up things I know nothing about. Loved your title and use of colors. I haven't seen the episode as yet but looking forward to doing so quietly and alone. I want to savor the many aspects of our ARVI again on screen.

Keep writing my friend. Keeping us thinking, debating and sharing our excitement of the up coming drama. Like all looking forward to a dabbang Arjun.

Dear dolce123,

Thanks ever so much for your warm words of praise.

It is always so nice when someone is very largely of the same mind as oneself. Colour White upset me too no end. As Archana had pointed out, even Manjusha handled a similar problem far better. It was very disheartening to see the normally understanding and gentle Archana rave and rant like this, no matter WHAT the circumstances. It is dignified and balanced behaviour that makes a person admirable, not flying off the handle in such an ugly fashion.

A wonderful analysys of today's episode. For me also, the best part was Arjun/Purvi meeting and arjun was the voice of reason there...no mahaanta, no drama...the way a strong minded man, sure of himself should be!!

As for Archan, I myself was in shock😲 So much anger, so much drama and so much violence!! I personally do not agree with it. That is not how I choose to deal with problems like that. A big thumbs down to her for telling Purvi to get out of her sight at that hour and acting so dramatically!!

Janhvi,

What a very clever girl you are! Manic obsession was JUST the word I was looking for, and it is rooted, as you have pointed out so sapiently, in her fear of how Manav and the brattish Ovi will react.

Not a thought for poor, desperate Purvi, who has no one else and nowhere to go. All of the credit that Archana had gained over 18 years of parenting Purvi seemed to me to have been washed away after that deplorable scene. It only reinforced my idea - and I repeat myself but you will bear with me - that when she defends Purvi stoutly earlier, it is not because she is standing by a beloved child, but because she cannot admit that her sanskaars and her parvarish could have failed. She sees Purvi as the living proof of their success, and as a rebuttal of the accusation that she, Archana has been a bad and irresponsible mother to Ovi and Teju.

Dear Shyamala, loved the idea of the triptych, much better analogy than the raagmalika which would have sailed past my head, not a musical bone in my body!😉

Yup, I could put even John Travolta to shame today
You err my friend, I admired Archana both days, she looked stunning and loved her sari today, her facial expressions were extraordinaire, as for the shrieking I turned down the volume. I do not approve of her throwing her daughter out in the middle of the night and have voiced this in several posts today, the slapping maybe forgiven but the rest was deplorable. Her insistence on her sanskars in Friday's epi was overdone.
If I stood up for my child, I would not be extolling my virtues, my mothering skills but would be placing my trust on my child because I know her, because of the person she is (even though this might be due entirely to my parenting) and not because I am a good mother. Today, Archana's insistence in not lending a ear to poor Purvi's attempts to explain bordered on the verge of manic obsession, her fear to face Manav and Ovi. As a mother, one's first instinct is to trust one's child and even when faced with disillusionment, one makes every effort to excuse the child by at least listening to their side of the story. No such quarter was given Purvi today and Archana turning Purvi into the night was the last straw.
I too loved the little girl, very unconvincing voice of Purvi's when she told Arjun she doesn't love him. Loved his response too, he is not buying any of that nonsense.
Not sure what tomorrow has in store! 😕

My dear aviaanya,

Thank you so much for such very kind words. You are so warm and so very flattering that if I don't take care, all this praise will go straight to my head, and it will soon begin to resemble something meant for Hallowe'en!

I would be interested in knowing how far you agree/ do not agree with my Colour White after you have seen the episode. I seem to be in a distinct minority on this, not that this is the first time it is happening, but I have very strong views on the way that scene was envisaged and acted out. It was plain awful.

Shyamala

PS: The idea of a dabangg Arjun is delightful! For starters, I am waiting to see how he handles the storm of outrage that will break loose once he says those fateful words "I do not love Ovi". It will be truly a crossing of the Rubicon.

Dear Shyamala,
I totally agree with you about the white...also liked Janhvi's and Arch's 2nd update post episode...it was ridiculous...and yes it is not about parenthood or motherhood it is about Archana's sankaar and how those have been let down as Purvi in the arms of Arjun, made everything at the party true 😕 for Archana, that not for once did she stop and think where will Purvi go for the night..i am not even guessing where she is...hope that you and Bee have better premonitions of where Purvi is and hopefullly safe...I cannot wait for Archana to realize her mistake and how horribly she treated Purvi...
DK was missing all this while but he is so COOOLLLY dignified and i would much rather his response and reaction and maturity...so thanks to DK for returning from his world tour...😃

dear shyamalaji, earlier you had asked me what my name is, well its kesha (kehkasha) for the forum member
now coming to your post it was just awesome and the way you had described each and every segments on the basis of color was wonderful
the red color not only signifies the passion, love that arvi holds for each other but it also describes their rage at the way their love is being looked upon by their apne. Purvi's one dialogue "no archana will ever bring another purvi at her home" sent thrills in the pit of my stomach and it made me realize that how much ever a mother loves her adopted child, but the fear of being rejected always scares that child and arjun's constant persuasion and pulling Purvi towards him was the final step to redeem his character in my eyes.
the white color is meant for peace but in the case of archana it was the opposite. i appreciate ankita's acting but no mother will behave so hysterically and to top it all archana's fear regarding the truth is manav/ovi's reaction which is utterly wrong. i mean she fears ovi's outburst- who does not even consider Archana equivalent to some garbage <yes you heard it correct, ovi treats archu as some garbage which is downright disgusting> ... and i wonder which mother would tell her daughter to leave the house so late, but sometimes i wonder wasn't it archu who requested vinod to take punni in after learning about punni's affair with a married men. but when it came to purvi she even refused to let her speak. thankfully sulo turned to be the sensible one which was shocking.
now the blue color- no words to describe DK's straight forward and sensible answers. the only rishta which is maintaing the tag of being pavitra is DK-Arjun bond.

sorry dear for my long bhashan but could not help...n ur analysis on PR epis are the most awaited ones. also the coloring post is meant to put some life into my boring writing😃
