Why is the same - (really un-original and now VERY DULL) theme of self-sacrifice (or more accurately relationship/happiness sacrifice --> for someone else's happiness) - that was/is the logo of the brainless character of Archana about to be re-played by Purvi?

How many countless times were we forced to see Archana decide (without consulting Manav) to sacrifice their relationship in order to make some one else happy (these days it's Sachin)??? And now - are they trying to do the same with Purvi? Making her adopt the same annoying 'Mahan' roop that dumbo archana does over and over - becasue of GUILT???

I am so disappointed - I really thought that Purvi was a way for this show to redeem it's insane policy of showing a very stupid and weak female lead - who - without thinking of the longterm consequences - always put her relationship on the line for some absurd reason or the other. I thought Purvi's character was supposed to be INTELLIGENT and strong enough to not surcumb to the usual guilt tripping etc etc that the CV's seem to recycle over and over... really... can't you come up with a more original idea??

No wonder this show is dropping in popularity ... the message being sent out to the audience is that it's good for any self-respecting woman to give up all her dreams and happiness in order to please some fool or the other ... and in the process hurt more people than you make happy!

Well done CVs... WELL DONE...!

Excelsa7, I am willing to give the CVs the benefit of the doubt on this - Purvi has not uttered the word sacrifice, in her rant yesterday at Arjun, there was no hint of sacrifice, she berated him for hurting her, for keeping her in the dark, for being engaged to another girl and professing to be in love with her at the same time. All valid reasons SANS sacrifice for her to give up on Arjun. She also questioned his ability to make everything alright between them. Sane point.
I am glad the CVs have not gone down the same senseless sacrifice route thus far, though I am not holding my breath in the hopes they won't do it in the future. So far so good.
It is Arjun who is sacrificing his love for the sake of his friendship with Ovi and who needs a good cleaning between the ears!

Good point ... hope you're right - but after today's scene where Archana talks to Purvi about how worried she is about Ovi ... I just saw history repeating itself all over again... let's see how it pans out...

I so agree with you. This sacrifice track is so dated and old. I don't know what these women achieve after sacrificing so much!! They end up alone and miserable not to mention the misery they cause to their own family.

And yes I am hoping that Purvi is different. I think the CVs are still figuring out her track and so they have shown her to be quiet about the stand she is going to take. She is sure about one thing and that is she will not give in to Arjun until he comes clean to Ovi. So let's keep our fingers crossed that she will be more sensible if Arjun does come clean and not follow her Mahaan maata's footsteps.
