Naava dear all actors contract are bound for a extension now.I don't think they are planning for a close,the focus is more on retrieving the lost TRP's. Manju got the news from her daughter that they missed an enagement party coz somebody forgot to invite them😔..she was so upset that she ate vinod's head off..and wanted to know why she was not invited for yet another circus party?..is people not liking her performance?..is that why she was droppedd from circus team?..why why why?..why was i not invited to take part in the circus?..jawab do!..

Vinod thought she did have a point!..coz he thought his wife rocks the circus parties..😳..so he went..to archu' s house..she and her mom sulo were excited to see him😲..i think sulo and archu forgot vinod threw sulo out of the house once upon a time😆..vinod asked how come u didn't invite me to the party..😔..archu how could u do this to me..am i not ur brother and manjusha ur babhi afterall..may be u r ashamed to tell the world that this jobless mom deserter is my brother..😔..archu ..said no no brother it is not that..i wanted to invite all my circus team members..what happened is that..i was not invited as a guest there..but as a nuakrani🤣..of ovi mam..😆..

I do think this was the final salvo so to speak, as Shyamala pointed out Arjun is getting desperate and will crack! After this torrent of posts, one feels like one is drowning, and so I did not add my comments to any of them. In any case, it would have been of no use; everyone is terminally confused and we have NO idea what is going to happen next, so what is the use of pretending to read the tea leaves?

However, you have asked a specific question about the lines that Arjun speaks - and they are delivered in desperate earnest - Tell me that you do not feel jealous when I am with Ovi, that you do not recollect our moments together then. .. Tell me that when I touch you, you do not feel complete..

I can answer this, for I realised at once where those lines were coming from, even if they have been slightly rewritten. Whence this post.

They are spoken by Shahrukh Khan to Madhuri Dixit in a key love scene from Yash Chopra's very successful 1999 romance, Dil to Pagal Hai. What Shahrukh says there is "Kah do ki jab main tumhe choota hoon, tumko kuch nahin hota" (tell me that when I touch you, you do not feel anything) which is very close to the line here. When Madhuri says "Main tumse pyaar nahin karti" (I do not love you), Shahrukh says, just like Arjun yesterday "Tum jhoot bol rahi ho" (You are lying), and then the line about the choona follows.

Though Purvi replies in the negative to both these appeals, you have to notice both the lines she speaks and her expressions. She follows the Madhuri closely on this, and while she is denying having any feelings for him, or being jealous, her voice says one thing and her eyes say another. It does not last too long, but it is very well done.

She is desperate to salvage whatever she can of her pride and her self-respect, and she hits back at him in the best way she can think of, by denying that she loves him any more. It is obvious, however, that even as she says it, she does not believe it herself, and try as she might, she cannot get him out of her system. She confesses as much when she laments that she could forget the fiasco with Vinay like a bad dream, but try as she might, she cannot forget this.

I would have liked Purvi to have shown a little more dignity, and lamented much less about what she has been thru and how much he has hurt her - shown her dreams, made kasme vaade (promises and vows), and then chhod diya mujhe? Kyon kiya aise? (you abandoned me, why did you do that?). It sounds pathetic, and that is not what I would want her to be, but a strong and dignified girl with enough self respect not to betray her hurt, and enough resilience to take it on the chin and show nothing on her face. That would have been a far more fitting reply to Arjun's endless "Main sab theek kar doonga" (I will set everything right) than this rona dhona and all the nonsense about what girls like her (she spared us the "middle class', however) are expected to do and not to do.

To get to your question, there has been a lot of fire and brimstone spewed all over the forum against Arjun for these lines, which are seen as either insufferably arrogant or unbearably condescending or both. My take is somewhat different and here it is for whatever it is worth.

Arjun felt very jealous of Vinay whenever he spotted him with Purvi, and this when he had not even realised what he felt for Purvi. He believes that despite everything, Purvi still loves him. Loving him, he assumes that when she sees him with Ovi, she would feel the same as he had done when he saw her with Vinay. Again (and this is not Laurie's kryptonite theory), he feels at peace and made whole when he touches her, and he assumes that it would be the same for her.

At this point, Purvi is insisting that she no longer loves him. Though he does not believe it, Arjun wants to make her acknowledge that his belief is correct, by getting her to respond to these 2 questions the way he thinks she will. She reacts a la Madhuri, firmly in the negative, but the words do not mesh with what he sees (and we see) on her face. Maybe, despite the hopelessness that clouds his mind at that moment, he will take heart from that.

However, and I repeat myself on this, there can be no salvaging of his relationship with Purvi till he has got Ovi out of his system. He must do this now as soon as he can, without waiting for that court case to be resolved. That was in any case a stupid idea.

The problem is that this too will solve nothing, and the scene at the Karanjkar residence yesterday must have made it clear to Purvi. I was a little disappointed at her telling an unnecessary lie and giving Arjun a character certificate "There is no (other) girl in Arjun Sir's life". She need not have gone so far at all; why should she be expected to know what Arjun does outside the office? She could have fudged her answer without saying anything precise. When the truth comes out, she will end up looking worse than necessary.

But right then, if she had revealed everything, I do not think she could have handled the storm that was sure to follow.

As and when Arjun comes clean to Ovi, the same storm will burst, and it will affect Purvi much more than Arjun. Nothing will ever be the same again for her - whether with her Manav Baba or with her aaji, and possibly even with her aai and Teju. That is the cross Arju-Purvi will have to bear even if they stand together against the rest of the world, and the cross will be more for Purvi than for Arjun, as it is she who cares far more than he does about being loved by all these people. There is no real and complete happy ending that one can see here.

Amidst all this gloom, present and future, apart from my favourite Teju, the one character who perks me up these days is Punni, eternally optimistic and unrelentingly devious, and imbued with a never say die spirit.

I do wish Purvi had a dollop of this spirit. She would then have read Arjun the riot act without any lamentations about what she had suffered, and then she would have sat him down and

(a) asked him what precisely he planned to do and when and then, as this was bound to be vague at best,

(2) told him what to do and set him a tight deadline, after which she would cut him loose for good. That just might have worked.

Alas, she does not know how to and/or does not want to fight for what she desires; she retreats incessantly, and does not make Arjun come clean in precise terms. All she seems to want is to run away and hide, but pretty soon, there will be nowhere for her to hide.

I loved the episode...

- Arjun finally succeeded in talking to Purvi after all these days of trying... today he was full of determination to talk to her .,,come what may\

- he said whatever he wanted..but the problem with Arjun is lack of proper vocabulary... i am still confused with the dialog "My touch completes you" please someone enlighten me..

- his agony and despair came across very subtly...while Purvi's anger from being hurt was brilliantly done,,,,

- loved Archana's explanation to vinod...her pain was depicted beautifully...on one hand she is seeing them day in and day out ..and on the other hand she can't even hug them to her heart's content

- and Ovi's insecurities are so evident ...just a phone call shattered her and she is in tears.. is this is the trust which is strengthened by her love since 14 years... i think where there is true love there is immense trust... is this the trust which is so shaky with an anonymous call

- Punni thai is back👏 ..and her one day in office created ripples in every relation...it triggered so many events... vinod -manju felt angry for not being invited...vinod confronted Archu..Vinod scolded Manju...Ovi cried and created a mini cyclone in K house..this is what we need in a daily serial...don;t we😳

Purvi was assigned a mission to trace the girl who called Ovi...can't they call back the number from which Ovi received that call..if i remember Punni called from landline and the number cannot be hidden i guess.😆

That is just it, the girl has an inexhaustible stock of the never say die spirit and she is prepared to wait as long as it takes to strike when the moment is just right.

This said, HOW did Punni get Ovi's personal cell number? I do not think it is possible to get the cell number of a stranger unless (a) you are the police or b) you have a helpful friend in the office of the particular service provider..and then there are at least 6-8 service providers, and how would she know which one Ovi uses?

I liked your crisp and neat post a lot, and it made a lot of good sense,

Instead of telling the same to Purvi, Arjun has to do something to get Purvi's trust. Purvi is very understanding girl. She will understand him even if he takes one step further. but he is dancing between two girls. One side saying he loves Purvi other side he is caring for Ovi.

Our bad luck Punni was not there when Arjun got engaged to Ovi. she would have surely stop that engagement if she was there.

Now Punni's aim is in breaking Arjun and Ovi. hope that brings Arjun and Purvi together and reveals the truth to the world.

Just one call Ovi doubting Arjun. this is not love at all. This relationship can be easily broken up easily by anyone.
