Brief Update
Vinay's mother comes to see Archana .she puts in a demand of heavy jewellery for Purvi .When she goes, Teju comes to have a word with Archu .She can't believe that Archu is getting Purvi married in this family as such people will keep making demands .Archana says that in every marriage there has to be a compromise but Teju gets angry at her thinking and says that if she keeps thinking like this, people will take advantage of her and a girl like Purvi can never adjust in this family . Archana goes back to the Deshmukh house. Vandu shows Archu a saree for Purvi as an engagement gift bought by Manav .Sachin look angry at Manav.
Vandu starts crying and questioning Archana why she is asking money from her brother when she is not a materilaistic person ,she wants to know the reason .Manav starts shouting very badly .He tells Vandu off " why are you asking these questions from this woman, this woman is the type who would ask for money to even answer your questions . She is a selfish materialistic woman and if I gave a present to Purvi it was as a boss, now stop forcing this relationship of father and daughter on me " .He shouts at Vandu so bad that she starts crying . Archana is really shaken up with his outburst .Manav apologises to Vandu and then requests her never to talk about Archana in this house .
Sachin comes to Archana , he looks concerned and asks her if she is feeling hurt after the way Manav shouted at her and he knows that she did not answer because of him .Archana says that she is happy because for the first time he has shown so much concern for he .She tells him that she is also happy that though Manav was screaming at her so bad , she could clearly see his pain and knows that even today he loves her just as much as he always did . Then she says that she is also happy that Manav has at last accpted Purvi as his daughter because if he didn't then he would have never got her a gift like this .She asks Sachu to come to his sister's engagement ( Purvi) .Sachu is stunned by her answer and walks away .
Vinod comes to see Archana .He gives her some money as Shagun for Purvi but Archu says that she will take this money when both Manju and Vinod will give it .She also tells him not to spend so much because he should think about Punni's marriage . Manav and Sachin tie up the Gudi at the door , Archana helps Manav to do so ..At the Kaarnjkar house , Aniket is tying up the Gudi and Sulochna , Vaishu, Teju and Purvi are happily lookin .Teju is feeling a little worried as Vinay's office people wil lbe coming to the engagement so she decides not to be there .Purvi is getting ready for the function ..Sulochna appreciates her saree. Archu says that the saree is special because Manav bought it for Purvi .
Sulochna asks Archana about Vinay's mother asking for gold .Archu tells her that she has told them that she will give as much as she can .Purvi is getting ready and she puts on the bangles that Arjun gave her .Suddenly she starts thinking about Arjun, the time when Arjun put the bangles on her then she thinks of Vinay asking her the weight of gold in the bangles .Archana calls Arjun and invites him .He tries to tell her that he can't come but shesays that if he comes then it wil lbe at least someone represnting DK and Ashna's family . Arjun cannot say no to her, starts getting ready , on the other side Purvi is getting ready and she too looks down like Arjun .The song dil kyuon yeh mera shor kare is playing .
Manav comes to the function . Sulochna tells Archu that she and Purvi should look after him as she doesn't wish to know him . Manav goes to Purvi and congratulates her . Arjun also comes to the function . He feels sad when he sees Vinay and Purvi together . Punni gets him a drink and introduces him to her parents who thank him for Punni's job . Sachin also comes to the function with flowers for Purvi . Archana gets emotional to see him there and says that he has given her the greatest joy by coming .She tells him that this house is his so he should feel comfortable there .When Archu leaves Sachu tells Vandita that somehow Archana always reads him so well .Purvi and Vinay are posing for pictures when Arjun sees that Purvi has dropepd her anklet .
Vinay's mother takes her husband in one corner and starts talking to him .Unknown to her , Archu is standing close by and can hear her .Vinay's mother is angry that Purvi is not working .She tells her husband that the only reason why they want Vinay to get married to Purvi is for the big salary she earns eevry month. She says that she even ignored that Archana is divorced because she was after Purvi's salary .Archana is looking furious after hearingthis .Arjun gives Purvi her aklet and tells her that she is looking very pretty . The ring ceremony is about to start . Sulochna goes to get Archana .Archana tells her mother that nothing has changed . At one time she was rejected because she could not work , today her daughter is getting married only because she brings in a salary .
Archu is very angry and starts shouting at Vinay's mother .She tells her that she had come to her with demands for jewellery , Arch u was ready to somewhat listen to her o n that but now she has realized that Purvi can never be happy in this house as a money making machine .Vinay's mother is scared and also embarassed .Everyone in the room is looking shocked .Archana asks Vinay if Purvi wants to leave her job and be a house wife , would he still marry her .Vinay is quiet .Archana tells him that it is good when both husband and wife work together but to expect his wife to be a money making machine is unacceptable to her .She tells Vinay's mother that they value money more than relations .
Vinay's mother gets angry and tells her that she is no one to tell her about realations as she herself could not look after her marriage .On heraing this Manav steps in and says loudly to Vinay's mother to stop it right there .He comes and stands next to Archana and says that he is Archana's husband and what is happening between him and his wife is their personal affair and Vinay's family cannot cover up their faults by finding faults in Manav and Archana's relationship .He tells everyone that soon they are about to get divorced but where Purvi is concerned he stand next to Archana and what she did was right , he supports her as he too has two daughters and would have done the same .Archna tells Vinay's mother that she is breaking the rishta and asks them to leave .
