A mini rant about Pavitra Rishta

Manav offered Sulochana to buy the house that was about to be auctioned. And Sulochana flatly refused.

Can't Savita see that? Can't she judge by these actions that Sulochana is not after Manav's money or to make him her pawn?

Either Savita has to be really deaf and blind not to see her goodness or the CVs think we will digest whatever crap they dish out in front of us.

I was a really big fan of this Program but sadly because of the illogical twists and turns I stopped watching it. Sometimes, the grace of the soap is in letting it die its natural death. No point, giving leaps and trying to revive the dead horse. It will just raise more stink and people will start questioning the director's abilities.

Its not always necessary that a soap has to go on for 10 years to be called one of the successful soaps on TV. Sometimes, I miss Hum Paanch or Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. The beauty is that they were not prolonged and stretched for no reason at all...

Look , I don't like what she did with Sachu . But I understand where she is coming from . Its not Sulo and Archus fault , its her SON"s fault as he tried to become Sulochana's BETA in front of her . ANY mom will feel the pain and rage that she felt . Sulo was feeding Manav at lunch tables what not .

But by showing her poisoning Sachin CVS butchered her beyond repair .

I agree completely Kool Di, very well said. I totally understand Savita's anger that her son is trying to be Sulochana's son. I don't know but I think Manav has spent far more money on Sulo than he has for his mother, I know he loves his mother a lot but the Sulo feeding Manav and Manav massaging Sulo's legs was a bit too overboard.

If they show Manav trying to be a son to Sulo, Savita will of course be jealous. She didn't give birth to him so he would be serving his sasural all the time.

If Manav does this, why don't we see Vinod being fed by Rasika and him massaging Rasika's legs? They have the same relation as Manav and Sulo do, or why don't we see Ajit doing this for Savita?

Yeah.. So, what's wrong with Manav treating Sulo as his own mother?

Can't a son-in-law ever become a son? Do only Daughter In laws have to take up someone else's family as their own and somebody's mother as own mother? I think Manav has just reciprocated what Archana does.

He knew that Sulochana is left without a Son, looking at Vinod's behavior and he went out of way to treat her comfortably.

I don't think any mother could be ever so insecure that she would misjudge the affections of her own son...

She was pretty fine until Rasika fed her the poison against them and the intrinsic nature of Savita is actually not good. She's always had weakness for money, owing to the struggle she faced in her life. She's always been greedy. Her behavior is driven by more of her own insecurities,faults rather than anyone else's.
But apart from all that, I think its high time the track changes for better or else ends the story giving way to some other soap..

Hi ChiggyWiggy, I agree that Savita loves money a lot, but I don't think that's the reason why she became bad. When she looked at the FDs being on Archu's name, she just got in depression and she never said any hate for Archana at that time.

And on Ganpati Utsav day, ArMan were both giving double attention to Sulo as if Savita was not there. ArMan also should have took care about Savita.

That Ganpati Utsav night when Savita witnessed all this she went to her daughter to tell her everything but Rasika made sure Vandu was nowehre in sight so Savita had to tell it all to Rasika.

And Archu was doing very wrong in allowing Varsha to stay without Savita' permission. The house belongs to Savita, and it is her choice if she wants to allow anyone in the house. And also when Archu gave money to Varsha instead of Vandu was another reason why Savita got angry at Archana. I think Savita's anger is pretty justified.


Manav treating Sulo as a mother is ok but why should Sulo feed him? I think this was getting a bit too much, as I said in previous ost Rasika and Savita don't feed their son in laws because people don't do that. Also Sulo is a guest at D home, and Manav did bring her to the house without taking Savita's permission.

As Kool Di had said, I don't think it's the money why Savita hates Archu, it's because she thinks Archu has snatched her son away from her, this is why she is brainwashing Sachu's mind against Archana, which is of course wrong but if you notice Manav has been talking to Sulo way more these days. He waited for Sulo to come and eat dinner, Archu could have ate dinner with her mother while Manav could have ate dinner with her mother. Also Archu is at fault for not telling Manav to pay attention to your mother.

These lines do obviously speak volumes about your experiences and how well you have known the human nature. Perhaps, we have met and experienced totally different facets of human nature. What else can I say apart from Let's agree to disagree on this? 😊

Anyways, My prerogative is not to dissect the character of Savita and analyze why she is doing what she is doing but to get this soap on a logical track. And I in no way support the current track of Savita's behavior. Its like going back to the past and washing off the 5 years or x years of goodwill and harmony that she and Archu had.

Putting Savita in a negative light is like going back to where you started. The same old drama of realization and repentance. It would be really great if they unveiled the true nature of Rasika openly right from her past sins to her present plotting. Atleast, that would pass on some positive message to the folks watching this soap.
